Its the largest tulip garden in Asia, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden. One of the must-visit places in Srinagar A seven-terraced garden is known for its 48 varieties of tulip flowers. The garden also has several types of other flowers like daffodils, hyacinths, roses, narcissus and other ornamental plants. The water channel running through the terraces adds more charm to the place and makes it a perfect place for getting some memorable pictures clicked here. Sprawling in 30-hectares of land, this major tourist site in Srinagar comes to life during the spring season when the Tulip Festival is held. Opened to the public, this festival is a must-see in Kashmir as the natural beauty of the garden, the rich Kashmiri culture, and its handicraft and cuisines.

This is a must visit (if it's open) if your are traveling to Srinagar during end March or early April. One of the best garden I have ever seen. It is a paradise for flower lover. Miles of colourful tulip flowers looks very good. You can get few awesome photographs there as well.

Its best to visit when tulips are blooming from March end to April 3rd week. Its little far away from Srinagar city center so not so crowded and there are so many varieties of tulips. They have arranged it properly and you will take around 2 hours to explore the garden. Also you can experience beautiful sunset. There are terrace system here, so have slopes to climb to reach the top position in order to see properly blooming tulips.

One of the most sought places when one visits Srinagar - the summer capital city of J&K. Amazing views; only regret was that we couldn't touch lovely tulips. The series were maintained very well and sights were mesmerising. We did feel the pinch as ambient temperature was slightly on higher side and it was almost noon when we visited. I think early morning and evening are the most suitable time to enjoy the tulip garden.

This place is truly heaven on the earth. The mesmerizing beauty of the full bloom tulips is just amazing. And the surrounding ranges made this beauty more special. We visited on 31st of March 2022 and our experience was also awesome. Though at that time the place was full of crowded but after seeing the beauty it was worth a visit. Better try to visit the place within last week of March to April 10th if you want to see real beauty of full bloom tulips. One of the must visiting place in it's season. Hope to visit this elegance once again in near future.

situated at the foothills of Zabarwan Range, Overlooking the iconic Dal Lake, the garden is opened in 2007. It is encircled by Nishat Bagh and Chashma Shahi Garden from three sides and also you can Pari Mahal from the park. Time: this is imp as it's not open for a whole year. The period from late March to April end is considered as the best time to visit the garden. Every year in the month of April, the Jammu Kashmir government celebrates the Tulip Festival in which tourists can enjoy breathtaking views of the gardens at their full bloom. It is south Asia’s largest Tulip festival that has been named after the Indian PM, the late Indira Gandhi (Donno why..). This Festival displays a large variety of tulips and boasts 60 varieties of multi-colored tulips. It resembles a beautiful carpet that has hundreds of colors and provides a heavenly view to the thousands of visitors, national and international. Around 2 million tulip bulbs bloom here and proudly display their beauty to tourists. it also feature a number of cultural programs, the sale of local handicrafts, Kashmiri folk songs, and other forms of arts. Other sorts of facilities (washroom and all) are there too. Open Hours: 9 am to 7 pm Mon-Sun. Entry Fee: INR 118 for adults and yes Mask is mandatory...

Wonderful tulip garden, pride of India. Very well managed. The garden has wide variety of Tulips and other flowers. One can spend as much as you want. There are benches to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful flowers and the surrounding mountains. Only problem is that it rains a lot during the Tulip season. The garden opens at 9 AM, after 6 PM the lights are on and it increases the beauty of the place. Best time to visit the tulip garden is about 10 to 11 AM to avoid rain. There are Wash rooms near the entry gate.

The best time to visit the Tulip Garden in Srinagar is the month of April, when the tulips are in full bloom and the annual Tulip Festival is held. Each color tulip carries its own significance. ... Striped tulips were originally created from a virus. Indira Gandhi memorial tulip garden is the biggest tulip garden in the Asia. Tulip petals are edible and can be used to replace onions in many recipes or even to make wine. At the peak of the tulip mania, the flowers were worth more than diamonds. the wonderful garden please visit once time.

During our family trip to ‘Kashmir’, we visited first to ‘Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden’ in Srinagar. It is developed on over an area of about 12 hectares at the foothills of the towering Zabarwan Mountain Range. The tulip garden is one of Kashmir’s most famous tourist attractions. We were mesmerized by many varieties of Tulips here, the sight is simply delightful. Each year, the gardens are opened for tourists during the months of March and April, depending on the weather and climate. Thousands of tourists across the globe visit here to have a look at these rows of tulips when they bloom. It is Asia’s biggest and most visited tulip gardens. If you wish to watch millions of tulips over 20 acres of the Kashmiri Landscape, you must visit this Asia’s largest Tulip Garden. You will require around 2 to 3 hours exploring this garden. Time :- March to April: 9 AM - 7 PM Entry Ticket:- Rs.60 per person

Asia's largest Tulip garden in Srinagar... Kashmir is home to a magnificent garden that’s alive with colors as far as the eye can see. Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden Srinagar is Asia’s largest such garden. It’s awash with dozens of varieties of tulips and other flowers like daffodils. With its terrific location – at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range – Tulip Garden in Srinagar is a veritable Eden. It doesn’t bloom all-year-round, however, so you need to plan your vacation carefully. The best time to visit Tulip Garden in Kashmir is from March to May. Around the turn of March, visitors to Kashmir make a beeline for the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar. For three weeks, over 60 varieties of these bold blooms are open to public view, set against the foothills of the Zabarwan Range on the banks of Dal Lake. Lakhs of travellers make the pilgrimage to see rows upon rows of purple, white, orange, yellow and red tulips bob gently in the breeze.

This is Asia's largest Tulip Garden. The best part is that whenever you come you will be surrounded by thousands of Tulip. My experience has been great here. Don't know about names of varieties of tulip available here but can make sure that it is beautiful place. The best time to visit is from mid March to April end during basant season. You can bring your family here and can also enjoy your lunch here. Other places like Shaalimar bagh, Bootanical garden and Pari Mahal are close to it so you can also see them.

The best experience you can have in Srinagar if you are here at the right time when the flowers are in full bloom. We got lucky this year and it was a sight for sore eyes. The Tulips are in full bloom only for 25 days between end March and April this year. We decided to visit early morning to beat the crowd and by the time we exited the garden by 10.30am, the entire area was jam packed with cars trying to enter the garden. Entry fee is Rs 60 per adult and there are drinking water stations and toilet facilities within the grounds.

The more is said about the Tulip garden, the less it seems. Asia's largest Tulip garden, Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is the must visit place in Srinagar. A seven-terraced garden is known for its 48 varieties of tulip flowers. Generally Tulips bloom in the end of March and they are in full bloom in mid April when annual Tulip festival is held.

Best season to any garden in kashmir is from Mid March to September... But if anyone wanna see the snow fall then come to Kashmir and see the snowfall. But I suggest you all please don't come with children below 12. Otherwise your tour will get ruined because the children cannot handle minus [-5⁰ c temperature]...

Was glad that we could make it to the Tulip Festival this year. Pictures do not do justice to the actual view. It is a absolutely mesmerizing experience. You have to be there to feel what nature has in store for us. It was simply mind blowing. I am told that there are over 160 million tulips and it only blossoms during this one month or March/April

Beautiful piece of land guarded by a majestic hill. Unfortunately the place looks gorgeous only for a month at the most, when the tulips are in full bloom. Floriculture department of Kashmir has failed largely to maintain such a beautiful landscape. Some of the pics which indicate the desolate autumn view of the garden. Tulip garden could serve as a place of attraction for the entire year if the officials paid extra heed by planting different seasonal flowers like chrysanthemums, lilies and roses.
