This houseboat has all modern as well traditionally culturally rich amenities starting from lovely decorated ambience in and outside the room, wonderful interior work, kashmiri handmade woolen carpets and curtains, luxurious bathroom having Jacuzzi and separately cordoned bath area with sliders, hot water available all the time, small garden sitting arrangement, tasty food and prompt services of care taker of the houseboat. Candle light dinner, flower bed decoration and cake arranged by Mughal Sheraton made our honeymoon trip the most memorable one. Very special thanks and all credits go to Zameer Bhai who takes care of houseboat for such a great services. I must stay if you want to stay in Srinagar than please spend at least two nights in Mughal Sheraton houseboat. WOW LOVELY LUXURIOUS AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

Dal lake awesome place to stay...the rooms are neat and clean and very well maintained

The shikara picks up from ghat 9. It was just an ordinary shikara, no blankets so in winter it became very cold to sit. The house boat is perfect - amazing wooden furniture and beautifully done. The entry lobby is very welcoming. There are some local sellers who will come to sell local handicrafts. The rooms are perfect, with AC to keep it warm, dresser, bathroom with sauna tub, fully carpet. The meals are excellent. One of the best breakfasts we have had in our 7 days trip to Kashmir. They have generator backup when there is no electricity. However, in the morning, we were the only passengers remaining as we had a late flight, so they didn't start the generator. Hence there was no water pressure, no hot water, no AC working. It became very cold. The shikara ride back took us to Meena bazaar, was leaking and had no blankets. The ride didn't last more than 35 mins and he took another random fellow houseboat care taker. For these reasons, I have taken away that one star ⭐ from 5* rating.

Good rooms but, not friendly staff. Javed is nice but, may be chef is not accomodating. Recommend gurkha houseboats at dal lake or staying at nigeen lake. We asked in the morning to prepare for simple dinner meal for kids and they said cannot accomodate. Ofcourse, as it was not in our plan we would have paid (who would not pay for dinner when staying in 15,000 inr per night room) If you care just for rooms then go for it as great rooms. But, for food then everytime you will have to take shikara and go out to eat. Two stars for ignoring kids meal.

We had a wonderful time at the Mughal Shertaon house boat in Srinagar. Couple of things that make it great: 1. The room is super clean and quite luxurious and comfy. 2. The room is heated / air conditioned. 3. The houseboat is placed a little far away from the hustle and bustle and that makes it quite peaceful and calm to be at. The boat ride to and from the houseboat is awesome everytime you take it (though it costs 100 bucks for one round of travel) 4. The breakfast and dinner were great. 5. Javed Bhai, who takes care of the boat is a great fuy. Con 1. The bathroom could be a little cleaner. 2. A kettle should be placed in the room for heating water given that its difficult to track down Javed bhai in the middle of the day sometimes. This place is extremely beautiful and you should strongly consider staying hear for at least 2 days to really relax and absorb the beauty and calmness of being in / around Dal Lake.

Best stay in J&K (including all hotels). The chef is very polite and hospitable. Food is delicious and rooms are luxurious. Everything is very clean and hygienic.

We have stayed many a times in the houseboat but this kind of amazing experience we had for the first time at Mughal Sheraton. It is the most premium houseboat in dal lake with such beautiful interiors all over the property and is well maintained Rooms: they have centralised heating systems for winters and AC in summers, The rooms here are huge and magnificent with intricate work of wood and unique designs of carpet is being laid off at the whole property Each part of the property is well maintained and the food served here is great and fresh . Tried the waaqai famous Kashmiri food here for the first time that was just mind blowing . The quality of food they serve is just next level and they customise it according to your taste . Mr. Bilal who is the owner here is very sweet and treats u like your family , and I must say he has invested his heart into this houseboat . This is a must visit houseboat if u are staying at dal Lake

We had a night stay at this beautiful Houseboat on 3rd December 2023 and it will be an everlasting memory... The care taker Mr Javed was very courteous and honest. The food was a real surprise.. the chef Mr Abdul has this magic in his preparation... Food was the icing on the cake.. the interior was unique and very hygiene. Will definately visit again in Summer Javed bhai, as promised...

This houseboat was genuinely an amazing experience, very very well maintained houseboat. We were looked after by Mr. Abdulla, who is the caretaker of the houseboat, he single handedly managed all of us, he welcomed us with heart warming kahawa, cooked us some super delicious veg and non veg dinner, he literally filled the buffet table with amazing options to select from. Next day he offered us homely breakfast which was mouthwatering and to end it he offered us some amazing ginger tea. This houseboat experience was upscaled all thanks to Abdulla’s efforts. We truly felt the Kashmiri hospitality.

What an experience 🤩 delighted. The owner has not just invested money but also his heart and soul in the house boat. Every thing is personalised and lavish. We had a couple stay for 09-10.07.23 the staff is both interactive and supportive. The room,washroom, dining area, the sitting area and the view of the lake and mountains from the houseboat is worth the money. Our stay included breakfast. Our overall experience is lavish and soothing. One of the Best house boats in dal lake. Food is very tasty.

It was an amazing experience staying at Mughal Sheraton Houseboat . Everything was perfect . The food was very delicious surpassing many five star hotel’s meal . The chef and the manager Javed were very courteous . I would recommend this and can assure that you will cherish it all through your life .

Great location. Great Boat house. It's best to stay here. You can see the hill top of Shankaracharya hill from the deck of the boat. The cook is best and the house keeper is very attentive and helpful

Very bad experience including the staff and ambiance. Washroom and bed was very unclean. Felt unsafe. People in Dal lake and staff of houseboat was very rude unlikely than other Kashmir localities. Food was good.

An excellent houseboat at a very good location. Stayed there for 1 day and didn't face a single issue, from check in to check out everything was ultra smooth. Services were excellent, cleanliness maintained. Overall value for money...truly we were overwhelmed with the wonderful hospitality

Rooms were good. But the service was very bad. GM Mr Ahmad a big lier and very rude person. We booked the rooms on CP basis which includes - On Arrival drinks non alcohol(which was not served). - Breakfast only - To & fro Shikara crossings - 01 hour shikara ride on world famous Dal Lake(we booked 2 rooms so 2 shikara rides are included but at the day they provided only 1 shikara and there staff told us that u need to accommodate all 4 adults and 2 kids in 1 shikara only for another u need to pay extra) As we are going to check in late in the night we haven’t included dinner in the plan but the staff told us that next day if want to eat we can do Ala carte from whatever is available with them. So we agreed and ask them the next day around 4 pm that we will order food for kids but they refused by saying that chef is saying no. We told them to pay for the food also but their GM Mr. Ahmad thought we want everything free and they didn’t provide anything for the kids. So we took shikara and got the food from outside. Mr Ahmad also called me and asked to remove negative review which one of my freind came with me had written. After I refused they replied by commenting that we want everything for free so they dint provide any service which is not true. So I suggest not to book Mughal Sheraton at all.
