Nigeen lake is very calm and quite place compare to Dal lake. Very big beautiful lake. We can do shikara ride from here. There are many houseboats available to stay in this lake. Houseboat experience was good.

Better than Dal lake, its not very crowded and touristy so stay and experience the peacefulness. Nigeen Lake in Srinagar is a hidden gem as its not very popular but the moment you enter and stay here, you will feel the difference. Houseboat owners are very welcoming and sweet. You will get a boat ride to each to the actual hotel boat so just come at taxi station , the owner will send you the boat taxi to pick you up.

A quiet and romantic place for house boat stay. After seeing the enormously crowded Dal lake, we decided to take our shikara ride here instead. Needless to say, it was the best decision!! We enjoyed a magical sunset shikara ride at the Nigeen lake and had the entire lake to ourselves: plus the houseboat owner had arranged for it and did not charge us.

Nice lake very clean and peace. Far off from crowded dul lake. The lake gives you great experience and we'll crowd ... But the issue is you will find peace here but the dul lake crowd and hawkers and floating shops are less here. Best to stay in house boat , best branded house boats are here. But do shikara in both here and dul lake rather shikara here can take u to dul lake too

Beautiful, quaint lake situated at the heart of Srinagar, and a must visit place for sure. There are a multitude of houseboats located here that you can choose to stay at. Overall, a wonderful lake with a plethora of options to choose from, when and if you're in Srinagar. ❄️😍

Nigeen Lake located in Srinagar. It is sometimes considered a part of the Dal lake. Wonderful place to come with family to spend quality time over the lake. Truly the reflection of heaven on earth.

Nigeen Lake is basically a non-commercialised version of Dal Lake. It is certainly not as big as Dal Lake but is very calm and clean. Both Shikara rides and houseboats are available here. Also, it is connected to Dal Lake via a narrow channel.

Scenic lake. There are a lot of houseboats to stay in, would recommend taking a houseboat stay here for the peace lovers as this is not as crowded as Dal lake and hence a lot more quiet. The morning views are just amazing from both banks of this lake.

Beautiful views. This will pause you and bring in a lot of introspection time because in reality there's nothing much on the lake. More depth and more silence. No Shikara after 8 PM. Please stay in transits or last day.

The Nigeen lake is surrounded by a large number of willow and poplar trees. Hence, it has come to be referred as a "nageena", which means "the jewel in the ring". The word "nigeen" is a local variant of the same word. Nigeen Lake (alternatively spelled as Nageen Lake) is a mildly eutrophic lake located in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is sometimes considered a part of the Dal lake and is connected to it via a narrow strait. It is also connected to the Khushal Sar and Gil Sar lakes via a channel known as Nallah Amir Khan.

To its north east lies the locality of Hazratbal, which is known for the famous shrine. The lake is a major tourist attraction in Srinagar, known for its relatively pristine waters as compared to the Dal lake. Houseboats and Shikaras are a usual sight. Its also ideal for swimming, being deeper and less crowded than the Dal lake.

Better than Dal lake, quite and serene atmosphere. Do bargain for shikar ride 100 for 500. Houseboats are cheaper there compared to dal lake.

A lesser crowded lake when compared to Dal Lake. It was peaceful, morning view was just ❤️. Although u don't have a view of mountains like in Dal Lake. But if u wanna enjoy houseboat stay, you can give it a try.

Generally tourists don’t go to Naigeen lake but if u like to sail in a shikara at a calm and quite place then Naigeen is the best one.

If you want to stay in house boat and at the same time want to avoid the hustle bustle what you experience in Dal lake.......then Nigeen lake is your place to book your house boat.

Stayed one night at Nigeen Lake in the Anarkali group of Houseboats. It was a fantastic experience. It was pre booked by Ms. BISMA MEHRAJ of Travel Home, SRINAGAR.

This is a much cleaner lake. There are Houseboats also in this lake. The sunset is amazing. The fall side is, this is far from the city and commuting would be difficult.

Nigeen lake is very calm and quite place compare to Dal lake. We can do shikara ride from here. There are many houseboats available to stay in this lake. Houseboat experience was good but there is so much for houseboat. You should firstly check online then u can direct connect to houseboat owner. My experience is not as such good in Srinagar because everyone ask for baksis .
