One among the beautiful lakes of kashmir. A must visit alpine lake for the nature lovers. Memorising view of the lake makes you feel the heaven. The reflection of sun makes the lake view more beautiful it seems that diamonds are shining in water. And the night view is also the beautiful.Tarsar Marsar is a trek where alpine lakes take a life of their own. It is not just the fact that you get to camp beside these royal blue, snow-fed lakes . Nature of these campsites get to circumvent the entire perimeter of Tarsar and Sundersar, offering you multiple perspectives of the very same lake!. The Tarsar Marsar trek takes you right to the heart of Kashmir. From the quaint village of Aru to the clearings of Lidderwat. From the rolling green mountains of Shekhawas to the massive alpine lakes. The setting of Tarsar Marsar is such that it leaves you visually stunned for weeks together. The Tarsar Marsar Lake trek is one of the prettiest treks in our country, provided you time it right. The best time to do the Tarsar Marsar trek starts from July, runs throughout the month of August and ends towards the end of September. In July is when there are still some snow patches on the trek. Around the Tarsar Lake, you’re likely to see some snow patches on the surrounding cliffs and perhaps some floes on the surface of the lake as well. These are small additions to the view, but they can absolutely change the settings.

The Dachigam's High Altitude Lake "MARSAR Lake". It's Very Beautiful And Peaceful Place Where One Can Enjoy On The Bank Of Lake. Marsar Lake is located in Aru in the #Anantnag district of #JammuAndKashmir and is famous for its exceptional beauty. It is separated by another famous lake, Tarsar Lake, by an enormous mountain of 4000 meters. When viewed from above, Marsar Lake looks heavenly with the clouds covering it and moving away within seconds. The blue colours of the waters of the lake along with the rocky terrain surrounding it, makes it look extraordinary and a delight for photographers & nature lovers.

The Marsar Lake is an oligotrophic alpine lake located in Tral valley of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. It is close to the Aru valley in Pahalgam. The lake is separated by a mountain with a minimum peak elevation of 4,000 metres (13,000 ft) from another lake of the same nature known as Tarsar Lake. Due to their close proximity and similar physical characteristics, the two lakes are often called as the "twin sisters". The site has over the years become a famous tourist destination. Tarsar-Marsar Trek is one of the highly opted treks of the Kashmir Valley.

We had hiked up here and stayed for short time. The hike was quite strenuous as it's constant uphill and there is no proper route. The track is laid down with boulders and pebbles making grip very difficult. Still after such a hike , the beauty we got to see was magical and it took away most of the tiredness. We were the only trekkers present and we clicked a few photos. Celular network was available here for short duration and we could do the necessary calls as network is not available anywhere else in the trek route. The time we spent here felt very less compared to the mesmerizing beauty that was in front of us. Hope we could come here again.
