Very tasty! They had a vegan pho which was full of vegetables and tofu. The broth was flavourful! We also had the vegetarian fresh rolls with tofu. The fresh rolls were delicious. The only downside was the slightly expensive price (vegan pho $14.99, one size only). We came around an hour before close and were worried they wouldn't take us but they were allowing guests until about 15 minutes to the listed closing time. It took about 45 minutes for the food, but the server was very kind and hardworking. Overall, the service was a bit slow but the food was great even with a little heftier price point.

This place is great! The owner was super friendly and accommodating right when we walked in. The food was a bit pricey but for the quality and taste it was worth it. You can taste the richness in the broth that he makes. Ended up chatting with the owner and he told me that he drives to Mississauga to get ingredients to make some of the dishes and that shows true dedication. The place is very clean and organized. Glad I stopped by for lunch!

Great food and service. Mr. Hong is super nice and kind. I really enjoyed the fresh rolls. You can taste the best and richness of the broth. I highly recommend this place for family and casual meeting.

I did not have the best experience at Pho Bat Trang. The restaurant is small and crowded with furniture and decorations that are not being used in corners of the room. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and uneven. They’re wooden benches with a little pad on them that rock back and forth from uneven legs. I ordered a medium rare beef pho. The prices are fair but there is no small size? After ordering we were brought water and two cups. My dirty cup had stuff on the inside that I picked off. Our food didn’t take long to come to the table, but our utensils did. We waited for about 5 minutes with food in front of us until they dropped off some utensils in a hot bowl of water. I ordered their rare beef pho, a classic, and it was tasteless and boring. Also, I understand it’s your business but maybe cover up a little more during the day when kids are around? The owner looked like she was ready to work at a go-go club with some flashy, revealing clothes on. Respectfully, I will not be returning.

From the serving of cold lime/lemon water and given chilled glasses, to utensils immersed in hot water bowl, it was already beyond impressive. I have always eaten in a thai and vietnamese restaurant but this is the best I have ever tasted, or probably the best restaurant in the country that is worth every penny. Mind you, it is NOT expensive. Our group almost had everything on the menu. The fried rice has a distinct flavor that made us order more. The grilled pork tasted more than a barbequed pork. The soups were all tasty. The fish sauce itself is so unique compared to other pho fish sauce anywhere. I can’t describe with words all that we have eaten. All I can say is this dainty restaurant serves a well-prepared, flavoursome, scrumptious authentic vietnamese and thai food that will keep you coming back. Truly the best restaurant I have ever eaten. Thanks to the very friendly owner Hong. He even instructed us well how to pack and bring home all the other food we haven’t tried and ordered for dinner again at home.

Yes you should try this place! This place is amazing, the food is delicious and the portion is huge. I had the grilled pork chop with egg (sooo good and veggies were fresh) and it came with a side soup that is so tasty! The place is nice and clean. And the owners are very nice and friendly.

Incredible food and service! Loved the rare beef pho (maybe the best I've ever had) and hot chili oil that the owner makes. I will definitely be back soon. Thank you!

I was passing by through St Catharines on my way to Niagara, and didn’t want to eat touristy garbage at the falls. I accidentally fell upon this place going to Quesada for my wife. B17 Grilled Pork Vermicelli with Spring rolls was absolutely amazing. The owner even came outside, and we talked about the restaurant, quality of food and experience. I didn’t get your name, but thank you for the hospitality! This is what I truly missed about Vietnam and Thailand. And thank you for the water bottle. We’ll be back!

I haven't had a tasty Pho soup like this in a long time.. That broth was so tasty and rich in flavor. The rare beef and the beef balls were delicious. I was looking at the other people sitting down and everyone seemed amazed by the portions and the quality of the food. The owner/server was so friendly and accommodating. He brought us hot water and a bowl to rinse out our spoons. I would definitely recommend this place.. 😋🤤

The food was amazing, you taste how fresh and yummy all the ingredients are in every bite. Probably the best spring rolls I've ever had, so good. And the service was amazing, you can tell everyone was treated like family, even as a first time diner. Owner went above and beyond in taking care of us, even went out of his way to separate the noodles and broth I couldn't finish, it's the little things. Definitely coming back and definitely the only pho place I want to go to :)

I was so hungry and wanted to eat Vietnamese rice noodles on the way back to Toronto. So I searched and found that this place had the highest Google rating nearby. The spring rolls were plentiful, and the noodles had a rich stock and lots of meat. The owner was very friendly and the restaurant was really really clean. This is a restaurant I want to stop by whenever I go to Niagara Falls.

I was in the area getting my car detailed and decided to stop in for lunch. The owner and staff are wonderful! Very chill atmosphere. The owner sat down and showed me how to use chopsticks properly and gave me a pr to take home to continue practicing with! The curry was the best I have ever had and so full of veggies. Wonderful flavour and they will tailor the eat to your liking. Afterwards the owner and I chatted for a bit about life. I will definitely be going back!

We were hoping for an experience aligned with the 4.7 star reviews we read on Google but it was a slight disappointment. To be fair, the young waiter seemed to be new and in training—that was obvious from the loud prompts coming from the cook back in the kitchen (I know kitchens are loud and he may not be aware of how loud his voice is to the patrons in the dining room). Strangely, I ordered green curry Thai and it WASN’T—it was orange. I asked to make sure and they confirmed it’s green curry. It looks colourful but I could do with less corn or tapioca starch—it was really thick. I like that the cook came out and gave us a big bowl of hot water to dip our utensils in to clean them. It’s usually what I do with a spot of tea on a napkin and wipe down—so it’s a nice gesture that they took the initiative. My friends said they liked that their spring rolls were very fresh but they also said some of the meat wasn’t cooked all the way. I didn’t notice; perhaps my piece was okay? My friend who ordered pho said it was really bland and didn’t drink up all the soup. I kind of felt bad for my friends because they wanted to go to an upscale Vietnamese resto on the lake but some of us wanted cheap and cheerful. 😬 Wish it turned out better bc I thought the cook really wanted to do good by us.

The BEST PHO I've ever had. The beef broth was very rich and flavorful. And a lot of meat, noodle and vegetables. Also, this place is kept very clean. All the staff here are very kind and pleasant, that makes me happy. This place is a happy place~♡

EAT HERE! Flavorful and fresh. It is an absolute gem of a place to get great food from very talented chefs. Deep fried vegetable spring rolls with peanut sauce and thai chicken soup with vermicelli noodles pictured.

Came here all the way from Toronto as we were visiting the falls area. One of the best pho I’ve ever had and the shrimp rolls (A1) is huge! It’s the size of my entire hand. Beats any restaurant I’ve ever had in Toronto. The pho had so much toppings and after an entire day out, my boyfriend and I couldn’t fully finish our food. You can really taste the beef flavour in the soup.

Great value and AMAZING flavour I didn’t realize how many spring rolls were in the order but no complaints considering both the other viet restaurants I’ve tried in St. Catharines charge almost the same for half the amount (& are not it) Will never go to another viet place except this one from now on! Still eating as I write this review lol Definitely satisfied my craving! Don’t waste your time anywhere else!

6/5 stars. I grew up in the GTA and this is far, far better than any Pho restaurant I've been to. Every ingredient is fresh down to the basil. The tendon is amazing. Hong has the best customer service, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. Will come back every time I pass by St Catherine's!

The best Vietnamese restaurant I ever had in Ontario. The owner is SO nice and the portion of food is generous and the quality is also the best.

Amazing and authentic food plus awesome owner! So glad to have found this little gem and we are planning to try their vegetarian options next time . It will be one of our new favourite local go-to for sure. Highly recommended!

Hong is lovely, the menu didn't have many vegetarian choices so I asked him if they do vegetarian food and he made me a pho soup which tasted great lots of veg and noodles and the broth was so tasty. My partner had a beef pho soup which he said was really good and cooked perfectly. Hong was very generous with his portions, we had to pack some up and take it home. The restaurant closes at 8 but he prefers you to come at 7.15 latest or he may turn you away. Very reasonable pricing, I would recommend definitely.

When I tell you this is the best food I have ever taste- I can’t even believe it myself. It worths every single minute waiting. Favor is 10/10, probably the best Asian food I have tasted in the whole Niagara region. My first time here and I’m sure there will be many other time.😊
