I have mixed feelings about my experience at this salon. I had bleached my hair on my own and went in for a consultation to see if they could fix the colour and dye it grey. I was told they had a free few hours the next day for bleaching and then a few hours the next week for the actual dying process. Don't get me wrong, the colour came out absolutely amazing and I was very happy with it. However, it felt as though my appointments were extremely rushed and there was not enough time to finish each process. Both days took around 3-4 hours to complete, but I do have thicker hair, so I understand that it could not have been as fast. On the bleaching day, I had finished having my hair washed when I was told, "I don't have time to blow dry your hair; My next client has come in. You can dry it yourself, if you'd like". The other employees were busy, meaning I was the only one who could blow dry my own hair. It was also freezing out and I was not planning on going out with soaking wet hair. I was already a bit irritated, but I had my dyeing appointment the next week and did not want to just leave my hair platinum blonde. On the dyeing day, the same thing happened. First, I was left alone while the grey dye was in my hair and told that if I saw it dripping down my face I could wipe it off with a towel. However, I have extremely poor eyesight (and cannot see without my glasses on) and could not see that grey dye was dripping down my face, which left me with stained skin. I was told that the colourist did not have time to blow dry my hair again, or even wash it this time. Luckily, another stylist was free between appointments to wash, dry, and style my hair. She was very sweet, and I genuinely felt appreciated by her. The hair ended up looking great, but for a very hefty fee and pretty poor organizational skills. I'm not expecting any compensation, but I would like to point out that these visits were for the most part, quite unprofessional. I was booked in last minute, but I was told there would be enough time. The colourists felt how thick and long my hair was, and saw how patchy the bleach was, and I feel that they should have been able to accommodate enough time to not make me "deal with my own hair" when I paid a fair price for someone to professionally help me.

I am very happy with how my hair turned out thanks to Chanelle! and only for about 16 dollars for it being done by a student that's an amazing price far better than my old hair place in both cost and cut! and the atmosphere is great too with the modern feel and furniture and the employees are all very friendly and caring! not to mention the way they wash your hair is really good too it is very relaxing and feels great!

I love this salon. My hair turned out exactly like I wanted. Ladies are super nice and welcoming.

Due to the competition and importance of customer service in this business I gave a 3 star rating. Upscale and fashion are important, though quality of service and how you make people "feel beautiful" trump that, in this aspect I feel the Salon is not up to par, which is why I hesitated to return.

I recently went for the first time to have highlights and a cut. I loved the cut but was unhappy with how light the highlights were BUT they give a two week guarantee on colour / services and the manager or owner (I'm not sure which) offered to redo mine. I went in this morning and she took the 2 hours it took to get it right. Her skill and artistry was apparent as she considered exactly where to place new highlights and discussed the depth of different colour ranges with me. I am thrilled with my hair now and will be returning. I also picked up some gorgeous lip glosses!

My experience at Renaissance was exceptional. I’m from Toronto and I come all the way down just to get my hair cut and coloured by the wonderful staff here. It is actually very affordable for what you get, coming from an expensive city this is a major discount and the same quality if not better. I typically get my colour from Chasity (who’s on mat-leave) and Tina. Both are wonderful colourists and lovely people. They are artists with blonde hair or lightened hair. Renaissance is lucky to have them! I get my cut by Dana who is also amazing, never cuts too much and layers beautifully. I’ve been going to her for years now. If you want quality work and relaxing experience this is the best spot in Niagara for hair.

When I first came in I was greeted right away. I was a bit early so I had to wait a little for my stylist (Aleisha) to finish another client. The receptionist (sorry can't remember her name) offered me a drink while I waited. Aleisha asked me questions about what I wanted and was friendly but professional. Turned out great. Before I left I booked a colouring and had a wonderful chat with receptionist and anther stylist (again sorry don't remember name) about my options for adding a fun blue hue to my hair. Left confident and beautiful. Thank you.

I decided to try Renaissance Salon and I am so glad I did! Dana gave me a fabulous cut and style! I have had so many compliments from people in the week since I had it done! The price was great and all of the staff that I met were polite and very professional! I’m looking forward to going back! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!!

I came here to get my hair coloured back at the end of October for the first time ever, and I just wanted a darker brown demi and I was told it should fade out like any other demi and with no demarcation line, fast forward to almost April and the colour is STILL in my hair and I had roots, it’s also has ginger tones now… I called a few times worried someone had messed up my dye job and I was reassured until finally I went in for a consultation and the stylist told me that the previous person had used a harsher demi on me? (which was completely unnecessary because my hair was healthy and had never been dyed before) and then this stylist told me my main option was to shampoo cocktail my hair and dye over it, so she proceeded to cut a test strip off of my head. A full strip on my hair, right off my head… I didn’t say anything at the time but that should NOT happen. I wouldn’t recommend this place, you’re better off paying more to have someone properly help you with you hair goals.

I had a great experience with Tatiana doing my pedicure she was very friendly and did a fantastic job on my feet felt great afterwards. Will be getting both pedicure done again and full body massage.The rest of staff are wonderfully. Only guy there but not a big deal with all these lovely ladies.
