Very disappointed in this gym. They are not willing to make an exception for someone who is unable to show QR codes. They were happy to take my money though, and now refuse to refund me. Scott told me "too bad" since I am not following the gov mandate - I am out of luck .... & out $150 in membership fees I paid in advance. Businesses are showing their true colours through this pandemic. Many are great but Energy Fitness is not one of the good ones. Stay away and do NOT prepay any fees to these people. Not trustworthy at all. UPDATE March 1, 2022 after the mandates are lifted: I went into the gym to see if I could get credit for 2 months I was unable to use the gym, and Wayne told me essentially the same thing - "there are laws in this country and it's not our fault you won't follow them. You'll have to ask Scott or Mike if they will credit you 2 months but I doubt it". They also would not honour my mask exemption. Wayne proudly told me how he called the police on a client yesterday who was "trespassing" because they refused to wear a mask, and he would do the same to me if I "break the law" as well. Absolutely disgusted even more by this gym and the staff who are clueless to the actual law. Mask exemptions are mentioned within the mask bylaw and threatening to call the police on a paying client who cannot wear a mask is a waste of the police's time. I will use the rest of my membership (a couple more weeks) then I will go elsewhere. Extremely disappointed as I went into the gym today hoping to extend my membership but instead walked out knowing I'll never give them another dollar.

Very poor customer service since re-opening. Staff assures you the membership can be placed on hold when the covid reduced hours don't fit your schedule and then they retract and steal 6 months of time from a paid in full member. The gym manager is hand-cuffed by the GM and unable to do anything for clients who were affected by the reduced hours. Good gym but find somewhere else to work out who will treat their customers right.

An embarrassing operation ever since individuals like Brad and Brian left this establishment has gone down hill. Having a life time membership price apparently means nothing as they can change dates with Covid closures and not update the client on the new end date. They state if not renewed day of membership expiring the life time membership rate is no longer offered. Offered the establishment to have my card on file to charge it every year and they stated we can’t do that either. Asked if any phone call or email went out to state new expiration date or coming up to my renewal period , they said they don’t do that either. This is simply a gym looking to get out of old membership agreements and the GM Adrian doesn’t even know his own policy and contracts. He states it reflects this in the contract and the contract doesn’t state anything pertaining to renewing the day of expiration or voiding life time membership. No correspondence from the gym with date changes and they offered little to no help when being a customer for over a decade. Unfortunately out of principal I will be finding a new gym and strongly encourage others to do the same. Seems all the management and trainers already have done so.

Amazing staff and amazing gym. Has literally everything you need in order for you to reach your fitness goals! It's never ever really that busy either.

This gym is very clean, with good protocols in place for covid-19. We book our time for a 90 min slot. We wear masks while moving around. We are given individual rags and cleaner bottles. Equipment is in good repair. Yoga classes start this week.

Best gym in St. Catharine's! There's lots of equipment available, both in the cardio room and in the weight room. It never feels too crowded in there, even during peak times. Staff is always cleaning. Memberships are affordable and you get a ton of amenities that come with it.

Absolutely love this gym. Even at its peak busy hours the various workout rooms are never crowded. They also offer an array of fitness classes geared to all levels of fitness and all genders. They also have a pool, a great obstacle course and a boxing room. The front desk employees are always smiling and kind and the trainers are the friendliest people I've ever met. If you're looking for a gym, I would highly recommend Energy Fitness Studio

Love this gym. They need to expand as people are finally figuring out how great this place is so it can be quite busy at times. Lots of equipment. Nice price. Been a member for a few years now.

My experience from the get go prior to sign up was very positive with Mike . Can’t say enough about him . The day we joined a female staff was aggressive regarding vaccine mandates , this isn’t how to start off meeting new clients . From there it was down hill . I spoke to the owner who told me that even though I had my vaccines and had proved it , I had to RE prove it and if I didn’t and I quote “ I wasn’t welcome until I did “ however I was to continue to pay . After much thought I decided to give it another try and show my code for proof to which another female staff asked out loud “ do you have three vaccines ?” Really am I supposed to ? ( and yes I did ) . Not her business to question me out loud about anyting - QR code was gold to these people right ? So it says I have three vaccines why ask me ? So people behind me could hear her ? Then came the harassment of patrons on whether or not they filled out the silly online survey on whether or not we had been exposed. Even after doing it they accuses us of not , because they didn’t read the proper screen . Keeping in mind your patrons may be truck drivers who cross daily into another country - again told not welcome to come to the gym ( but keep paying ) Covid sucked big time we all know it was hard ! But train your staff not be condensing and nosey. Wayne who boasted he called the police in someone who didn’t wear a mask ?! Wow . How about we lodge a complaint at the better business bureau about your company harassing me for more info that they needed ? Your complaints in the reviews are all about staff but you retain these people still to this day. Anyone who boasts about calling police on paying customers needs to be retrained or let go . I would get depressed as soon as I hit your parking lot and that is solely on the owner and certain staff . Facility is great , clean and maintained. Decent price if your treated right .

The staff are incredible. The atmosphere is calm and cool. There aren't 100000 people waiting in lines for equipment which is helpful. This place is my home away from home.

Awesome gym at a fair price. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The change rooms are nice and the showers are clean. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely worth checking out this gym.
