The food, cleanliness, and service from waiters/waitresses is great, that's not the issue. The issue is that from what I and others have seen the multiple times we've been there is that the employees are treated very poorly, being yelled at for ridiculous reasons and being generally overworked/mistreated. Until the owners cool it this is unfortunately a 1 star

Sunrise cafe is a cute little cafe that offers breakfast and lunch options at a good price. The restaurant has cute little signs up that made me laugh. My server was absolutely beautiful, kind and quick! The food was good! Personally, I found the home fries a little bland without any seasoning but still good! You need to try one of the many home-made baked goods that they offer. Delicious!

This place is way better than it has any right to be. Perfectly made simple dishes, experienced and friendly staff, great prices. Planning on becoming a regular!

Friendly staff and decent food but nobody checked our COVID vaccine proof and some people’s after us but seemed to check others (confusing). Also, waitresses were not properly wearing their masks at all times, leaving us feeling quite uncomfortable.

I used to come here every week years ago with my old boss. Great service and atmosphere...then. came here 2 weeks in a Row recently..food still great, but horrendous service. The 2 european waitresses has some sort of attitude. Brought 1 jam for 8 toast and when i asked for another cube of jam was greeted with i already brought u one. Then rolled her eyes when she realized i wanted a second one. Had to ask for utesils and again was receive as i was asking for the world. It was busy so i understand the long wait to order. All in all great food but dont expect a smile. I wont be back. There are plenty of breakfast restaurants that have great food and actually enjoy their clients. Cooks got 10$ tips. Waitress tip...0.

A great little breakfast place where you can find your all time favourite breakfast items like pancakes, eggs and home fries with tasty sausages and bacon. The great thing about it is these simple meals were cooked perfectly. My easy over eggs were just right, potatoes, sausages and bacon are crispy and not drenched in oil. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Rye toasts are great too, a bit too much butter for my liking but they are tasty nonetheless. They have little tarts to take home too if you’d like. I will be back again ! Give it a try if you are in the area 😊🌟

The last few time we've came here we had been served by a black haired European woman, who was rude and just plain nasty towards us. I'm not sure if it's not being a regular that gets you treated this way but we'll never set foot in there again. And we are telling our family and friends to stay away. Food is good and other servers are good. This woman is ignorant and the food is insanely overpriced.

You should go here for breakfast. 😏 I Loved the food. Grilled potatos with onions were so good. I Can't wait to try there fries with fish n chips they have Fridays. You can get the potatoes deep fryed or grilled. Menu was a simple breakfast/ lunch Cafe food. When we went it wasn't to busy staff was attentive very nice ladys. Coffee was ready when needed. When you go have a look at the different signs. The owner Glen likes signs. ☺

We had an amazing experience here! All the food was great but highly recommend the French toast with homemade fruit sauce and the butter tarts! Very friendly staff and great service. The server went out of her way to make our meal perfect and make our kids feel special. It was their first time out to a restaurant in a long time and they had a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Waitress almost denied me service for bullying my sister… But jokes aside, service was great and the food was delicious. Over easy eggs were prepared to perfection and the french toast was amazing with their homemade sauce 🍳 Great spot.

We asked asked around where the locals eat and Sunrise Cafe came up several times. Stopped in for breakfast and it's great for the price. Mira, the ownee came over and chatted with us, very pleasant to chat with. One thing to mention, they only take debit cards and cash. My US debit card didn't work as designed so I had to run down the road to get cash. They were very accommodating about it. Breakfast is delicious and portions are huge. Worth stopping in!

Too expensive for a breakfast meal, they even charge more things that we didn't order. In which I only noticed later, Check your receipt. I recommend Hi-light in Niagara falls excellent breakfast and really not expensive... I would rate 0, but they don't have that option.

Having a great breakfast here is standard. The people are awesome and the kitchen staff know how to cook a great meal.

All I can say about this place is: check your bill. The prices on the menu does not match what was hand written on the receipt. Examples? I had the Eggs Benedict which read 15.49 on the menu but was 15.99 on the bill. We added an additional egg which should have been 1.79 but was 2.00 on the bill. These are small amounts but when we added it all up, we were overcharged 12.00. The waitress reassured me that she did the tax amount in her head. Instead of arguing, I got the hell out of there. It was a weird experience. If anyone can recommend another breakfast place please send a comment.

My favorite place to visit for a family breakfast. Glen and the staff are great - it's always nice to catch up with everyone when we visit. Easily the best omelettes in Niagara region.

Amazing Fish and Chips.... AND.... the tartar sauce is homemade with REAL pickles. I’m not a fan of tartar sauce but must say it was good. Nice home cut fries. Nice sized portions!

What a gem. This is the kind of breakfast spot I get really excited about. Not fancy at all and in a bit of an industrial area... The food is well priced, very tasty and the staff seen to have a great time while they work. Top Spot!

The restaurant had great food! Mira, the owner, was serving and provided great service. My French Toast with apple and pear topping were absolutely delicious! I also ordered a side of sausage links. Those absolutely did not disappoint. Her staff and the ambience truly shows Canadian Hospitality at it's best. Go early and enjoy a relaxing breakfast at a very reasonable price. Don't bring credit cards ... it's best to use cash. This place won't disappoint. Don't forget to purchase their Butter Tarts, they are Amazing!!!!

Unbelievable service. We were sitting down right away, order taken with a coffee in hand in less than 5 minutes. The staff visited us a lot. We had our food within 10 minutes, and it was fantastic. In addition all the breakfast deals are all close to the same price and all are super loaded with food. You will not go away hungry. Highly recommended.

No-nonsense homestyle breakfast. You can walk out of here for under $30 (maybe even $25) for two people and be perfectly satisfied with your experience. Definitely has a community diner vibe. Everywhere I've ever lived I've had one of these places, and hadn't found one in St Kitts til we went here. I'll be back.

Local restaurant in St. Catharines. People are very friendly and service is great. Had pancakes, 3 slices per order, and they are almost 8 inches in diameter. Very big and could not finish. Pancakes are passable for a greasy spoon restaurant.

My sisters and I had a wonderful experience at Sunrise Cafe today. The food, people and atmosphere just made my day. The quantity and quality of the food was spot on. My breakfast was hot and fresh and full of flavor. The pancakes especially were delicious. All the wait staff was friendly and helpful even with all the tables being continuously full. The owners are so lovely, you really feel they put their heart and soul into this place. We can upon this restaurant by chance and am so happy we did. I will be back next time I am in the area!

Amazing food, fun atmosphere, Mira was the icing on the cake - very quick service, amazing sense of humour! Kept our Birthday group laughing the whole time we were there. Our family of four come to Sunrise Cafe every month or two. We started coming years and years ago on the recommendation of a friend. Every experience is positive and staff are friendly and welcoming. Just feels like home. Their food is terrific and service is excellent.

We were looking for a nice breakfast in Niagara falls area and we found Sunrise cafe! It is a small local diner. We had the best breakfast we could have asked for and the service was beyond excellent! We enjoyed to witness the care, the attention and the professionalism that the server gives to the regular customers and to the new ones like us! She was amazing. We thank also the staff and the cook for the delicious food and the clean and fun place!! We highly recommend your diner!!!

Been here a few times overall good food, service was a little on the slower side this time, pricing on items are a little higher than other places, but still worth it.

What an amazing place!! The staff is so nice and accommodated our huge group of 12 with no issue at all and with in minutes. The food is so good and portions are huge! Coffee is great and atmosphere is so welcoming. Defiantly recommend this place. We stopped by for breakfast but there were lots of menu options for lunch.

My granddaughter Katie from Sudbury ordered my breakfast as a surprise b-day gift. It was two sunnyside up eggs, hashbrowns, nice crisp bacon & french toast w syrup. So proud of her for supporting my city during this pandemic. Loved the breakfast that was delivered Apr 29th & friendly driver said Happy Birthday to me so they both made my day.

Best breakfast in Niagara, hands down.

I use to eat here when I was young and was amazed and very pleased to see it was still open. I walked all the way from near the canal bridge and it was worth every step.
