It's a really good place for a Sunday afternoon. The grass and flowering plants are well maintained.

A quiet place to unwind in the heart of downtown St. Catharines. Liked the Pavilion. There are lots of sitting places and washroom is clean.

Perfect place for a picnic and watching the sunset! :-) great playground for little kids, including an extra large kids swing for handicap individuals..and lots of picnic tables! Yes there may be a homeless person or two on the benches, in the corner behind the rose garden, and a few camped out under the Pavilion (lol) but for the most part they're asleep or chatting with their friends. I know most of them and they won't hurt you. The design plans for this park we're by the same individual that did Central Park in New York city. The isle of trees is particularly stunning to take photographs under! Three seasons of sprinklers every morning around 7:30 FYI.

Attended the grape and wine festival at Montebello Park and was not impressed. The cost for the tokens was high and what you had to pay for wine and food was far above what I thought. A 2 oz glass of wine was $ 7.50 and all samples of food was over 12 bucks. we had been at the wineries all day and thought these prices were a little high, left the festival and went back to the wineries

A beautiful Park located 2 minutes from the downtown core. This is the same park that Rib-Fest, and Niagara Grape and Wine are held at, plus other events thru out the year. Great place to go for a walk, and just relax at! Lots of places to sit, oh and need a bathroom break? The public washrooms on-site are always nicely clean enough to feel comfortable enough to take a BB. :)

Montebello Park is a great spot, especially for kids. The playground is brand new, and there's plenty of space for them to run around. The only downside is that parking can be a bit of a challenge.

Enjoying the benches to sit but very surprised to see the park was gone. I'm wondering if there replacing the park 2 update it or if its being taken out for good, my children love that park.

*Reviewing as a concert venue* Extremely spacious and able to hold a crowd much more comfortably than Budweiser stadium. It's in the middle of a beautiful city, what more could you want?

My first garden that i visited when i came to canada. It's big and amazing place to roam and take walks. Recently also went for the Rib fest which was amazing.

Park is nice to sit and enjoy. Kids love it. Many people around usually. A little scary as the sun sets, and, you need to be aware of your surroundings.

This is a beautiful place in the heart of St Catharines but away from the noise. It is very peaceful and it has a little park for the kids. Not much parking, though

Lovely green space right by space downtown.

It was nice. But I wish people would pickup their cigarette butts. I have no problem with smokers. I just think it can't be that hard to put out the cigarette and dispose of butt . Not on the ground. It just makes the park look dirty.

  • 5/5 Abu K. 11 months ago on Google
During the day it is beautiful great to walk through, read in the grass or even have a picnic! You don't want to be in the park after dark with kids, usually the drug users will be around.

Lovely park in the heart of St. Catharines. Host to many events through the year. There is a fantastic rose garden and lots of places to sit and relax and a lovely play structure for kids of all ages.

Beautiful spot in the heart of the city of St.Catharines. known for the Grape and Wine festival and the BBQ Ribfest. Quiet and clean, spacious. Has the famous multi Grammy Award winner Polka King Walter Ostenek Pavillion built in his memory. Beautiful place.

Grape and wine festival It was a fun time. Enjoyed listening to the Bands and trying different local wines. A bit pricey but expected and security was a little bit pushy on patrons who were not breaking any rules jumping the gun thinking people were smoking just for holding cigarettes.

Rib fest that happens in august otherwise park is quite and not like this but it’s good place to walk.

Great Park, watch for homeless and drug addicts. The rose garden is worth the visit. Children must be accompanied by Adults and supervised due to recent increase in Drug use in the area

Fantastic time at Montebello Park to see the band Figure Four during Grape & Wine. Beautiful park well maintained.

The squirrels are in charge at this park, that's for sure πŸ˜†. The trees are shedding their leaves, but some are giving their displays of colour first.

  • 5/5 Andre L. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to just walk around park for free and enjoy such a nice park. Good job to the city for maintaining it so clean.

  • 5/5 Jay F. 10 months ago on Google
Nice park centrally located , host to alot of big city events. Find myself here alot and has alot of qualities unfortunatly like any downtown area there is a fair bit of homeless , addicted and mental health issues going on in the area

  • 5/5 Tyler V. 10 months ago on Google
Great park. Always a good time when there are events here. Not much parking in the area but if you're local, great place for a walk.

  • 4/5 Dave K. 1 year ago on Google
Nice park with a beautiful rose garden. There is lots of space to have a picnic under a big old tree, or in the pavilion. When Rib Fest or the Grape And Wine is on, Montebello Park is buzzing with so many people. Nice place to bring the children, and throw a football or baseball around too!

  • 5/5 La 11 months ago on Google
Big park that hosts a lot of events. Went here for Rib fest & had a really good time. The park is clean, and has a lot of greenery. The park is also pretty close to the downtown area just incase you need anything

I love this park so much. Many benches and old trees, I walk through here almost every day. Docked one star because bathrooms are a tad scary.. but other than that, beautiful historic park in downtown St Catharines.

I was just in town for the rib fest at the park. The grounds where tended too and the grass made the effort to stay alive during the event. The park is located in the downtown area. The rose garden in the park is also a nice touch. The playground is new and amazing to bring kids too. Lots of stuff in walking distance.

Located right downtown, with a playground, garden and open space to have picnics. There are tables along the Ontario road side of the park, large and under the shade of large trees.

Pretty nice park overall. Only saw 1 shopping cart off in the corner. Lol. Nice little place though. Took my boys there to throw the football around. Lots of shade to hide in if the sun gets to be too much for you. Watch out for rogue frying pans!! Seems they like to hang around there. Lol

This is a beautiful park on the fringes of downtown St Catharines conceived and designed by Frederick Olmstead who design Delaware park in Buffalo New York and also Central park in New York city. It is a nice open park with a wonderful panoramic view of the Victorian houses surrounding it. It has a bandstand and also a gazebo which are a good asset to the park itself.
