My group is in love with this place! We visited for the Tuesday Taco Bar and it was fantastic! Plenty of protein options, chicken, beef, pork, Chorizo and more. Fresh toppings lettuce onions, cilantro salsa etc... Staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is top knotch boasting bright colors, Mexican flags, and wrestling masks not to mention the restaurant is HUGE!

We decided to go here after seeing a movie at The Film House. Friendly service the moment you walk in, nice fun atmosphere, good menu. I ordered 3 different tacos and our server recommended one which ended up being the one that I liked the most. Bonus points because they have a little Sergio Perez shrine upstairs. Just missing a Daniel Suarez one! But again great, friendly service, nice recommendations and a cool place. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing, best dine-in experience. Mexican food was delicious. It arrived so quickly! So many options on their menu. The female server was one of the kindest people I've ever met. So sweet, helpful, and made our visit so comfortable and welcome. (She didn't bat an eye when our toddler accidentally spilled water all over the floor and even offered to throw away a diaper for us.) The cheese dip was so delicious. Decor is great at this place. A must try if you are passing through St. Catharines!

First, I have to say that the staff was very nice, but the food wasnt good. Lets start with nachos... since when does nachos comes covered with "cheezwhiz" look alike cheese ?!? The tacos.... worst one I ever had... carnitas was sooooo dry I had to spit it... al pastor no pineapple... and another one with grilled cheese in it so grilled that we tought it was burned. Oh and the side rice was probably cooked for hours it didnt have the texture of rice. Left 110$ for a big disapointment. Told the waiter and he was very kind with us and offered us churos ... they were good I have to admit. Wouldnt recommend at all. Sorry but they have to improve because for now its not worth it.

If you have never been to the Taco Embassy before, I hope this serves as your reason to make the trip to enjoy this lovely authentic Mexican eatery in St Catharines. The first time we visited Taco Embassy we did so simply because we had a craving for Mexican while we were in St Catharines. A quick google search brought us to Taco Embassy. Taco Embassy is located in a Victorian style house right behind the Bus terminal. The Restaurant has a large seating area on the main floor – with a lot of classic mexican décor, however, there are many other rooms throughout – that are alive with colour of the paintings on the walls, furniture, and décor. You are encouraged to walk around and experience it to its fullest. The team are very inviting, and excited to have you join them at the restaurant. We always order Margaritas when we have Mexican food. It is a must, and they offer a number of options, as well as other drinks, and cocktails. We ordered the Alambre Solenos & the Camarones Chipotle. Both dishes were so full of the authentic Mexican flavours we crave. The portions are huge – I had to take about half of the meal home – which I would never not do here because the food is sooo good. The menu offers a good variety of items that are sure to satisfy whatever you are craving – tacos, burritos, entrees, and so much more. The food is absolutely fantastic. I love the Alambre - it is highly addictive. The prices are very reasonable (image of our bill is attached for perspective). The service is amazing. The people are very happy to have you join them. They are very friendly, attentive, and want you to have the best possible experience. There is a fair bit of street parking – we always find parking right out front, and it is very close to the bus terminal – so easily accessible. We have been to the Taco Embassy a couple of times now, and plan to come back many more times in the future. And we will be recommending it to everyone we know. This is the kind of Mexican restaurant we look for when we crave Mexican. It is not fancy overpriced tacos – or pretentious food. It is just amazing Mexican cuisine made with quality ingredients and full of amazing flavours.

I’ve been there twice now. I keep try new things. Everything is excellent. Service is great. There is salsa dancing on Sunday nights. Check this place out the inside is fabulous.

Great food and experience ! My mom and I decided to try this restaurant after so many great views and from great word of mouth. We were pleasantly surprised with the portions and taste of food especially for the price, it was great! Our waitress was amazing throughout the night and was very accommodating to different requests. The enchiladas verde are a must have, the fajitas were great and they’re generous with the drinks too! Will be visiting again for sure!

Incredible find! First time but definitely won't be our last. Food and drinks were delicious, service fantastic and so many gluten free options. Big portions as a smaller eater I got 3 meals out of my shrimp dinner.

Very traditional and colourful restaurant with different floors depicting different Mexican themes. The staff was COVID prepared, the restaurant was clean and laid out properly. The food was authentic, fresh and flavourful. The staff was extremely nice, polite and very attentive.

The only thing better then the food was the service . Great service with a smile you could see through the mask . I’m a good eater and couldn’t finish the fijtitas myself very good 👍

Omg top of the line Mexican food. Caution had the habernaro enchiladas awesome flavor but not for the soft palette. The wife had fajitas that were absolutely incredible. This is a must try you will not be disappointed.

Ordered tostadas and Azteca soup for take out. Very accommodating when I changed my time for pickup (earlier time). Food was good... but I felt the price was a little high but that's because I have lived in Mexico and I am use to the prices down there I will definitely return in the future... When visiting the area. 👍

Probably the only place around where I order a salad (ensalada el embrajada) and have never been able to finish it. Excellent food, the BEST margaritas around, & outstanding service - but many of the bench seats are broken making for a rather uncomfortable seat. Choose a table with chairs rather than a booth if you can. Worth the discomfort for the food & service though.

My fiancee and I just stopped here for the first time in person and it was an incredible experience! We were greeted by the bartender and hostess right away who were both very pleasant! The hostess showed us a bit of the restaurant which is decorated beautifully and has a very authentic feel to it. We split the Nachos la Embajada and the pork on it was so tender and juicy. Then I had the Alambre Vaquero at the recommendation of our server and it was delicious! Incredibly cheesy and flavorful. Everyone that works there was very attentive and friendly and helpful through the whole meal. And at the end the hostess and server surprised us with Churros to celebrate our engagement! The sauce was even in the shape of hearts! It was so sweet! I would recommend this place to everyone I know!

This restaurant was honestly really bad. When we came there was a bit of a wait, but the hostess completely forgot about us! She refused to take names for tables because she claimed she would remember... but then 20 minutes later she treated us like we had just walked through the door. Also, it took SO LONG for us to get our drinks that they didn't come until AFTER dinner was on the table (and they made a mistake with my friend's drink). The food and drinks were just okay, definitely not worth coming with how bad the service here is.

Got the 10 mini tacos, half beef, half tinga. Tinga was really good, beef wasn't very flavourful. Eat them fast because they get soggy almost right away.

First time trying out this restaurant and it’s by far the best burrito I have ever tried! I got the Burrito Cocolero and the portion size was huge and it was super tasty and authentic! The guy working there was super kind and helpful too! Will definitely order again :)

Food is delicious and authentic. Amosphere is amazing in this such a happy and colourful place.

The service was very slow. There was only 3 tables in there when we got there, who were already eating/had drinks and we still waited 25 min for our drinks (pina colada and jarrito). Though the pina colada was delicious. It took us about 35-40 min to get our appetizer which was just Guac & Chips.. ? And then our food came out around the 1 hour mark. We’ll be back for the food, as the food was delicious and filling. Hopefully the service is much better next time.

Atmosphere is always pleasant, the murals on the wall are Instagram Picture worthy. Food is up to par, what you would expect to get from a place in St.Catharines, if you’re in the mood for something spicy i recommend the enchiladas. 7/10. Will be back again.

Best Mexican restaurant in St. Catharine’s Ontario Canada. Warm and fresh Pozole Soup, was the highlight of the dinner! All very tasty and yummy! The Taco Meats, Pastor, Carnitas and Birria with incredible flavours, Tacos were beyond amazing! Tasty rice and beans! Great beer and drinks selections! Ideal place for families and children! Exceptional customer service hospitality! You’ll love it!

If only the food was as good as the service... Super friendly staff. Middle of the road Mexican food. What's up with the plastic takeaway containers for portions of side? Apparently popular with Hispanics judging by the other clientele when we were there (maybe this says something about the food?). May be be some 'secret menu' items as we found out after our dinner that they have micheladas (wish we would have known).

Wow!!! What an awesome surprise Taco Embassy was!! Food was fantastic, portions were huge, Margarita was for real, waiter was incredibly personable...cannot wait to come back!!
