Being
recent
arrivals
to
the
Garden
City,
this
was
our
first
Grape
and
Wine
Festival,
and
it
was
quite
the
event.
I
had
pictures
of
scattered
booths
with
a
variety
of
wineries
selling
glasses
of
wine
and
generally
a
quiet,
reserved
atmosphere.
I
was
certainly
surprised.
It
was
a
very
upbeat
vibe,
with
live
music
playing
on
a
stage
at
the
south
end
of
the
park,
flanked
by
a
combination
of
wineries,
food
booths,
and
a
smattering
of
other
fair,
on
either
side.
Some
wineries
were
represented
by
their
own
booth,
others
in
conveniently
amalgamated
booths.
The
West
side
was
focused
on
NOTL,
while
the
other
side
represented
the
Bench.
Scattered
in
between
were
open
booths
that
focused
on
specific
varietals.
There
was
a
VIP
booth,
which
we
did
not
sample,
and
a
nice
cocktail
bar
set
up
in
the
Rosa
Garden.
The
event
was
smoothly
run,
and
well
designed.
My
only
suggestion
would
be
a
little
more
effective
lighting
at
night,
as
it
was
sometimes
difficult
to
navigate
poorly
lit
areas.
We
will
definitely
return.
