My experience-helpful and friendly staff who got me the currency I needed within two days. The downside - what cost me $1185 here, which included my membership discount, would have cost $1061 at Simplii. I was told that their advertised ‘best rate guarantee’ didn’t apply although Simplii does deliver the cash to you. Not much of a guarantee in 2022 when more financial institutions are forgoing brick and mortar branches (the reason I was given was that Simplii has no physical branches). Unless I get a rate equivalent to my bank’s rate, I won’t be getting foreign currency here any longer.

They close at 6:00 pm. I arrived at 5:47 pm and the lights were out and a closed sign in the window posted beside their hours of operation sign that clearly stated open until 6:00 pm. I made a special trip and wasted over half an hour to get Euros for a family member who is leaving for Europe tomorrow. Not cool.

Today is Monday Nov 20, 2023 at 3:50pm. Absolutely horrible customer service. Rudeness, unprofessional and unfriendly employee in the pic. She have Asked me questions about why I am changing my Canadian $ to USD and when I gave her all the answers she needs, she denied me from buying USD. She was very rude and unprofessional employee. I won’t recommend this place for anyone wants to change money. 0 stars 👎🏼

Have been going to Continental Currency at Pen Centre St Catharines for many, many years. Know I can call ahead to get all the different currencies I want and pick them up at later time. Staff is always friendly and helpful with any questions I may have. Senior discount is great for Monday pickups! Makes great gifts for trips!

Went there to change over some money from CAD to Euro's. I had already been on the phone earlier with an employee who said they would match the price of another spot withing their bounderies. We drive close to half an hour because of traffic to go here because they had enough Euros to buy them all today. When we arrived we went to get the euros and talked to the district manager. He was very rude in saying the store was out of the bounderies when it had already been confirmed. Even after we asked him to talk to his employees and correct them he was still extremely rude and we ended up leaving because of his immature actions. Please have a talk with this Branch manager as we are also going to be contacting the head office to file a report.

I went to purchase US currency today with my sister. We were assisted by Suzette Turcotte. We had a hiccup with the transaction in that the money was in my sister's chequing account but it exceeded her daily limit. While my sister was a little frazzled and did reach the bank to get her daily credit limit increased so that the transaction could go through, Suzette was patient and demonstrated great customer service. We did not feel rushed, nor did we feel that we were "another crazy customer" coming in who was unprepared. She was very professional and polite and patient. We were thrilled with her service. What a great experience!

Surprisingly good rates here. It is a currency exchange office which is definitely not-scammy. They take their cut of course, but it is a very reasonable fee to pay. They offer better rates than at my local bank. You can always ask them for a quote and they will tell you the rate. Take it or leave it. Friendly personnel.

Went here to exchange some money for my upcoming trip to the US. I was helped by a very friendly and informative employee named Jinneea. She was very patient with me, as this was my first time exchanging currency and I had many questions. It was an overall great experience!

Absolutely top notch service. We usually take advantage of Mondays senior deal but we came in on Saturday and once again we were blown away with the service. The manager Melanie greeted us with a smile and remembered us from our previous visits, she gave us great advise for our upcoming trip to Europe and Scandinavia and ordered in our currencies so we could get the bills we wanted. We certainly don't get this level of service from our bank. I would not hesitate to recommend Continental to anyone. Al and Deb

I just left this branch and I just wanted to say Stacy gave me the best customer service I had in a long time. I brought my granddaughter along who has down syndrome and a lot of people are afriad to talk to her. The first thing Stacy did was compliment her on her Raptors hat and engage in a conversation with my granddaughter like she was any other human being. So kind. We need more people like Stacy!

The teller I had, a very sweet and kind girl named Sydney, was the most wonderful example of customer service I've ever experienced. She quickly helped me with all my questions regarding the exchange rates for different countries near Asia for a trip I am planning for myself and my father. Great experience overall!

They sold me Great Britain Pounds no longer in circulation.... Basically, changed currency and they gave me old notes with Darwin on the back of 10£ notes... I should not pay to go trade old notes with a bank nor postal office just because they can't keep up with what they are in business for. If a currency will not be a legal tender. YOU DO NOT SELL THEM THAT!

The employee was very helpful however he was late arriving to work and the company had messed up my request for colombian pesos. The employee did his best to help me however.
