We
stopped
to
have
dinner
at
that
location
after
a
long
drive
through
the
U.S.
and
Canada
yesterday
evening,
since
we
were
hungry
and
tired
and
we
had
two
more
hours
ahead
to
drive
North.
We
knew
Tim
Hortons
as
an
established
restaurant,
Google
was
showing
this
place
as
“Open
24
hours”
and
we
saw
few
people
dining
inside.
We
placed
an
order
inside,
received
it
with
no
issues,
and
started
our
meal
in
the
dining
area.
A
member
of
staff
approached
us
5
minutes
later;
not
really
sure
if
he
was
from
Tim
Hortons
or
Wendy’s
side
as
this
place
is
operated
jointly.
He
demanded
us
to
leave
the
restaurant,
telling
us
it
is
closed.
We
mentioned
that
it
was
shown
as
24
hours,
and
he
told
us
it
is
only
for
drive
through
but
dine-in
is
closing,
and
requested
us
again
to
leave.
We
asked
if
we
could
stay
for
another
5
minutes
to
finish
our
meal
and
he
declined.
Even
the
“1
minute”
request
was
declined
and
he
kept
telling
us
to
leave
immediately
referring
to
“a
policy”.
We
had
to
grab
the
remaining
food,
left
the
restaurant
and
went
back
to
our
car.
I
cannot
eat
while
driving
so
we
had
to
continue
our
dinner
in
the
car,
in
the
darkness
of
the
Tim
Hortons
parking
lot,
while
four
homeless
people
were
roaming
around
with
their
shopping
carts.
That
was
the
first
time
for
many
years
in
Canada
I
saw
such
rude
persistence
in
forcing
clients
out
at
the
end
of
business
day,
and
was
shocked
to
see
that
in
a
restaurant.
