Not the best care at this vet. Our initial experience was good and then went down hill and my dog is the one that suffered. Doctors and staff are kind but really poor medical service and higher then normal prices. Went in a year ago and got teeth pulled, no issues. About 6months pass and My dog had a really runny noise, we went to vet and tried many different meds to which nothing worked. Did blood work and X-rays and nothing showed in any of it according to you. Things progressed and got worse over the month. When I called the vet on a Friday because she couldn’t breath , I wasn’t offered to be seen and the dog was prescribed nausea meds and asked to do a nasal scope. So I found a new vet who did X-rays and blood work again at a much cheaper price and the dog did not have to stay in there care, got the results right away. Turn outs the X-rays where unreadable due to the gas in her body and fluid she was holding. When compared to this vets X-rays it was all showing the same. Which you just missed. I’m not sure how you miss a dog not processing protein and an unreadable X-ray. I’m putting my dog down on Friday bc you missed treating her sooner or even bothered to take proper steps in treating her.

My neighbor had recommended Animal Health Services and I am so glad they did. I was able to take my St.Bernard in to see them faster than any other vet I had gone too. The staff is very good in what they do I have no issues with them at all. I will definitely recommend them.

Currently, Eric, 15 years, 3 months, Eski/ Malti / Poo enjoys his short walks, his treats and food - although he is eating less and is a bit fussy now with congestive heart failure. It is a struggle to get meds into him - either the capsules, small pills, or liquid. Thanks to Dr. Toles wonderful care and Amanda putting up with my medication-administering frustrations, I followed Amanda’s suggestion to hold Eric’s mouth closed till he swallows the meds wrapped in a small ball of cheese. It is a difficult time, and for the past 15 years, Dr Toles, Mike and now Amanda have been there every step of the way. I consider myself and 2 doggos - and Daniel earlier, fortunate. A full 5 Stars. And Huge Thank Yous.

The team here has always been super accommodating and each time we've had a scare they've got our cats in ASAP, often same-day! We left another vet after a poor experience and it was a delight finding Animal Health Services as they've been incredible and provided a seamless transition when switching to them. While Simba, pictured here, hates the vet, they do their best to make her feel comfortable and have gone above and beyond in providing exemplary service and care.

Visited for the first time with my foster dog Reggie as was referred by the rescue. They were all very friendly toward him and myself. The vet was easy to talk to and seemed like a very nice man. He was sweet with my dog..... *Cough* Um, I mean my FIRST EVER foster dog. (because I'm NOT keeping him Right? RIGHT? Anyway... Ugh, I'm probably keeping the big dummy! (If you've thought of fostering, wait for the one that fits your most important criteria, (they're flexible like that) because of you're anything like me, you won't be able to give the dog up even after 3 days :( ) Anyway.... Very thorough with details and options, side affects and pricing for caring for his skin issues. Highly recommend. *Also, something I want to mention that is very important to me, we all know some vets or even DOCTORS who have been around a long time, always rush rush and have your pet diagnosed before you even get to fully describe their symptoms. They neglect to ask important questions, or listen to details you feel are important in diagnosing your pet. He seems open minded and knowledgeable about newer medicine and treatments.

I agree that this place is very friendly but that's where the good news ends. I brought my dog to them twice, first for an initial visit with my 10 year old dogs sudden weight gain and extreme dry nose, I knew she was getting older but it still seemed odd for such drastic changes to happen within a very short period of time. We were told that she just needs to lose weight and she's getting older so her nose will be dry. We didn't take her back for awhile as we tried working on her weight with lots of exercise and managing her food more.. she lost a couple pounds but it did not come off. Brings us to my poor babies last visit with this vet about 6 months later, she had started throwing up in the middle of the night and based on the colour and that she had not been eating the day prior we brought her in, showed a clear picture of the vomit. We were told we should have been putting Vaseline on her nose (which was never recommend) and that her belly is very distended, and she likely has a tumor in her belly (again complete shock to us as this was not mentioned as a concern or something to come back about if weight-loss wasn't going well, nothing). So we take our pup home try to make her comfy while we try to do some research and decide what may be the best course of action would be. There was no rush or concern advised to us about starting to look into the tumor or treatments immediately, so we thought it's been a long day with the vet for her so we would decide within the next 1-2 days. This was about 4 pm that we got home. She continued to decline throughout the day but the vomiting had stopped because this vet gave her nausea and pain medication. She grew weaker by about 10 she was laying in bed struggling to hold her head up. Before morning came we had to take her to the emergency vet, where she died. The emergency vet told us the vomit was heart fluid, she was throwing heart fluid for almost 12 hours before this vet had seen her and almost 24 hours before she died. This vet failed to communicate any concerns or urgency with us at either appointment we had and we lost our baby. Maybe not because of her, we didn't get an autopsy done, so I am not sure if there was anything we could have done to save her but at the very least we could have been a little more prepared for the worst day of my life.

Animal Health Services are very professional, kind and caring. Their attention to detail and advice is fantastic. We find their pricing much more reasonable than the veterinarian we started going to when we got our puppy. Our very first visit Dr. Marcie Toles checked her over to make sure she was healthy and she is! We highly recommend going here to get your pet looked after.

I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Dr. Toles is great. She's always kind, honest and easy to talk to. Her whole team is wonderful. I recommend Animal Health services when people are looking for a vet. It's the little things I've noticed that will keep me coming back. She does truly care about the animals she sees. They've even started working with an app for your phone, you can track your appointments, set reminders for medication and more.

I can't even express how wonderful this vet is with my dog tofu. Not only are they extremely affordable, they actually care. I had a vet who wore Jordan's and drove q luxury car and said they cared for my animals and then yet each visit costed me 700-1000 dollars or more. They would throw hidden tests in and guilt you into unnecessary treatments. They also didn't offer payment plans or affordable options. You were just guilted into thinking you were a terrible owner cuz you couldn't afford a 750 dollar vet visit for a routine checkup. This veterinary clinic is absolutely wonderful. The vet and staff are so caring and compassionate. It feels like you're entering a second home. Tofu needed bloodwork and had issues with his eyes. Both visits were extremely affordable and they made me feel so reassured and at ease. They called me for his results and went above and beyond for him and myself. I can't begin to express enough how wonderful this place is. If you are looking for a vet please look no further. Call this place. I trust them entirely with my whole heart. I'm beyond thankful. They have an amazing team who's hearts are in the right places. They are literally angels on earth!

This review is long overdue, a year ago I met with the Vet, discussed my cat needing dental extraction ( stated by my prior vet), stated I don't have much money, if she can give me the cheapest quote, she stated price of $700 to $850. After surgery and paying $850, I get my cat home only to find out she had all her teeth, no extraction took place, I called four times, none of the employee's were able to tell me what happened, the last employee read the Doctors notes that stated a dental clean was done ,I asked why no extraction, she was not sure. I have a new Vet who stated the cat needs tooth extracted. This was upsetting because it took me years to save money for the tooth extraction, to only be taken advantage of, it is two vets now who state the tooth needs to come out, I would never spend $850 on a dental clean!

Just started to bring my cats to here. They are fantastic. Helpful and knowledgeable. Both the staff and Dr. Toles explained everything with great detail and were transparent with pricing. As a pet owner, you tend to feel anxious or worried about your little ones. Animal Health Services has been nothing but comforting and caring for our cats as well as for us as owners!

Having a hard time finding a vet who would look at my sick dog, Jack. Must be a shortage of vets in the Niagara area. Animal Health Services took my dog right away. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I felt comfort knowing Jack was in good hands.

Absolutely incredible. I’ve been there once and the doctor was the nicest person you could ever meet. My cat actually took to her and normally she would be aggressive. The medication she gave is already working. Thank you so much for saving my Rosalina and she actually loves the gingivitis treats you gave me. You’re a true vet!! and I will not go anywhere else. Also the staff are very nice and helpful too :) Very happy thank you ❤️

Affordable and great service for my 3 babies. Finally, a vet clinic that cares more for your babies than for your wallet.

The team took GREAT care of my little pup while she was recovering from surgery to repair a broken front leg. She fractured her radius + ulna and was in a cast for 4wks. I took her in for 2 of her weekly bandage changes and the team was amazing to interact with. Michael (who I spoke to mostly on the phone) was so incredibly helpful, prompt, super-efficient and a pleasure to speak with. They were extremely pro-active and provided amazing service. It was a stressful time taking care of a recovering puppy, but everyone at the clinic made it way less stressful. Thanks so much!! Karyn & Taco-Bella :)

I have a 10 year old boxer. She hates getting her nails clipped. They had no trouble getting it done. It may sound the insignificant but nails on a dog can do damage in your house. Hats off to Animal Health Services.

From the website looks good. From phone conversation for asking an appointment for our lovely FitzRoy, black cat 9, everything was excellent. And tomorrow we will go there. After the visit we will post more
