Porth Beach is a lovely beach. There are cafe's & a pub very close by, also some toilets. Very limited parking on the street nearby & also a few spaces to park on the beach, although be careful if the tide is coming in as it can cover some of the parking area. There is also a pay & display car park nearby. When the tide is out the beach is massive with lovely golden sand. A lovely place to chill out or get involved with more energetic activities on the beach or in the sea. Life guards are on duty in the main summer months. On the day we went it was fairly quiet even though it was a lovely warm day. It is a Newquay beach but probably furthest away from the town centre so maybe it doesn't get used as much as the more central ones.? I would recommend a visit & am looking forward to returning in the near future.

A nice β€œdeep” beach which I’ve not visited previously. We stayed at the campsite there so very handy if you want somewhere all-in-one. The car park for the beach is actually at the front of the caravan park. Access to the beach is very good with a ramp in place should you need it. As a top tip, there’s a nice little outdoor cafe just next to the beach. We had a nice breakfast there overlooking the sea.

Such a pretty, small beach with a little walk across the bridge for some lovely views. We really enjoyed the fact it was one of the less-known beaches but still had the toilet facilities and a couple of options for drinks and food. There's also lots of lovely coves because of the way the tide comes in, which was a unique feature and lots of streams of water leading into the sea too, great for a paddle!

A hidden gem! Quiet beach and I really like the no dogs during the day rule. Lifeguards present and they regularly warn of the rip current on the right hand side. When it's calm, it's great for swimming and when the waves pick up, it's great for body boarding. A beautiful place.

Fantastic family beach. When the tide coms jn there is large sheltered area for children to play on the water. Ideal for paddle boarding and kayaking. Only downside is the car park is very small.

Beautiful beach, lots of rock pools and caves to explore when the sea is out. Not many places to eat but the amazing beach is 10/10. There are toilets and lots of parking in the holiday park opposite the beach. Easy access with a pushchair.

Beautiful beach, lifeguards in summer season. Plenty of parking, toilets and refreshments available! Free bellyboard hire - first come first served! Would definitely recommend

Amazing beach beautiful. Plenty of surf literally miles of sand, a tidal river that runs up one side of the beach providing a safe water space for kids to play in. Even when the tide is in there is acres of beach left. Dogs not allowed between 10am and 6pm. Just be aware, beach is quite shaley on the right side.

A quite beach on the west Cornwall region that represents the raw Cornwall that we usually don't know about. Porth is absolutely amazing and very idilic for people who want a quite world for a few days.

Tide was out on the day we visited. Lovely sandy beach gently shelving and safe for kids. Plenty of space to sit and chill out without feeling like sardines in a tin, like some beaches. We parked on the beach, car parking was 3.40 for couple of hours. RNLI Lifeguard on duty during our stay. Re-assuring for all. Public toilets very close and handy. Must visit!

Excellent clean and tidy beach, plenty of space to pitch up your sunbathing area. The sand is soft and golden, there are small areas of shale and broken up shells abd stone but that is due to be expected on a beach within a cove. Certainly worth a visit to this beach, nice and quiet and relaxing. Small on beach parking area but there are also car parks near by.

Another nice beach around Newquay. When the tide is out, the beach is a massive sandy expanse. The views in this high sided cove are amazing. Unusually, a small river flows onto the beach and with caution is an excellent area for children to splash in and explore. The beach loses a star for the same reason as most beaches around Newquay. The parking charges are disproportionately expensive, with inadequate public transportation alternatives. Also the sand is not brilliant, definitely not silky smooth sand.

Lovely beach, always popular with families as well as locals Mermaid pub does reasonable food and right on the beachfront. Easy access to the beach..no steps Be careful with incoming tides, some little caves and water comes in quickly. Easy to get cut off as I've discovered!! Flat beach so sea isn't deep, safe for big and little people No dogs allowed on the beach and is wardoned at certain times...I believe dogs go on early morning or evening but please check before you arrive Toilets in the pub, expensive coffee in roo beach opposite and a small 'hole in the wall' that serves ice creams There is a tearoom/cafe on the far side (going towards the roundabout), only open seasonal times

😠 We went for a fun swim but ended up leaving 40 minutes early due to how unclean the pool and poolside was. There was a used plaster in the water, a lump of what looked like mushed fruit on the poolside, as well as leaves and other flecks of grime in the pool. In addition to this, the pool was very c...
