We had a perfect dinner here. The food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved the asparagus salad with shrimps and were positively surprised by the honey almond ice cream in the dessert. The prices are very good for the dishes and the service offered. We cannot await to return!

The restaurant was recommended by a friend and it was absolutely worthwhile to come here for lunch. Reservations are recommended. Even for lunch the place was very well booked. The fish was prepared to perfection and the restaurant offers a great selection of fantastic wines.

A classic in Hamburg but not to be missed if you want to explore some local interpretations of fish dishes. The bouillabaisse is quite remarkable, exquisite taste with rich ingredients. The turbot filet is highly recommended, the sauce is a memorable one! And yes, the service will make you feel at home! The ambiance of course is traditional - but this is part of the deal here.

Stop by on Saturday without a reservation, friendly staff helper me got a cancelled seat and Parker my car. Fabulous tuna tartar and the local delicacy - don’t miss the Fried plaice with bacon, Finkenwerder style. Most customer got grey hair 😀

This restaurant had pretty good reviews and was recommended on the Michelin guide. Upscale, nice view but food was really blah. Wanted to order the Turbot fish but it was sold out? It was recommended we try the Sole instead. For 75€ you could easily get a piece of Sole like this at a regular restaurant or pub for a fraction of the price.

Great aperitif bar and beautiful restaurant! Classic old school ambience. Very classy! Food was good. Tried the labskaus typical Hamburg dish and so in love with it! So tasty! I've never been a huge lover of seafood, but I grew up in New England, and I have always LOVED the seafood I get there. Just everywhere else I struggle. One of my favorites is haddock. I live in Germany now (a part where we don't have good seafood) and while on vacation in Hamburg, I saw they had haddock. This dish took me back. It was like the haddock I had as a kid, but elevated and incredible. I've been thinking about it all night and I'm only mad we went on our last night because I can't come back again before we leave. We also had the beet carpaccio with truffles and....wow. Every trip we have a meal that stands out, and for this trip it was this meal.

Was celebrating my bday in the restaurant with family on 6 august and have forgot my Hermes scarf ,was sure they will give it back … unfortunately they DIDNT! I’m surprised that restaurant with high reviews can do this .I was driving from home with my own car to place and back so was not another place to loose my scarf … so bad … scarf costed 1300€ and it was memory from important person in my life …it’s not about money but when u go high qality places you want to have high qality people and Servise around you as well.

This is a great restaurant. Also very welcoming and not pretentious. Everything was of the highest quality, well cooked and well put together. A real treat!

This is an amazing fish restaurant situated in the harbour of Hamburg with amazing views. It has great selection of German fish dishes. Had labscouce was interesting. The turbot was excellent as well as the selection dish of 6 types of fish- Fishereihafenteller. House white is excellent too. Good friendly and attentive service.

Fascinating, classic, traditional fish restaurant in Hamburg. It’s a must go here in Hamburg if you want to have best fish with best hospitality. The soup it brilliant, fried fish ist awesome. You can customize the taste. Just tell them what you, they make it ready for you. Here I always come out of the restaurant with best feelings, happy and satisfied. It’s so recommended.

Gorgeous restaurant with a great view by the river. Food however can be quite pricey as this is an upscale restaurant. The service was great. Come here during lunch time for a better deal as they have lunch specials. If you are looking for an upscale environment come here. If you just want good seafood for a better price there are plenty of other restaurants.

Nice and fancy place to eat or have a cocktail with a harbor view.

Ultra rude staff on the telephone... I can handle the hold time and the being put aside for a few minutes whilst they handle their walk-ins but once you're on the call enquiring about availability I do not expect to be hung up on when they are full for your first choice of day and just can't be bothered to continue talking to you and just hang up. If the first contact is indicative of their business ethos then best to avoid this place.

Excellent seafood restaurant in Hamburg. The service was good and the prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is nordic and friendly, with an upscale touch. The restaurant offers a great view of the harbor, which adds to the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and come again anytime.

Sophisticated and nice restaurant for sea food lovers. It is located in the city center on the opposit river side of the port. Together with nice interior it creates authentic sea ambience. Fish was really good. Better try. Pricy place.. I would recommend to book a table - it was overbooked for dinner time. Service was very very friendly.

Great food! The outstandingly good food should be emphasized, and that's what this is all about. Our waiter Hassan is quite a great host whose recommendations can be taken without hesitation. He is super friendly and was part of a lovely evening. However, the maitre d' was like a general or a supervisor, you don't really want that. We had appetizers which were all great and turbot as well as tuna steak and it was great all around.

Great food and drinks. I had the fried calamari for starters, and the fried North Sea turbot with mustard sauce, potatoes and cucumber salad and these were accompanied with the house white wine. Caramelized cheesecake was the dessert. Everything was great but the mustard sauce gets the special mention, it was delicious. Service was also excellent. Highly recommended!

Perhaps the best fish restaurant in the world. Came late (after 9pm) and was given a table at the windows with view over the harbour. French and Irish oysters for starters together with spicy tuna tartare and avocado. Just wow! Followed by various kinds of fish. Just world class. Value for money was just incredible - will be coming back!

A plus point is, they found a table for us when the restaurant was very busy. Drinks were served fast and the starters were absolutely delicious. Now, the main meal not as good as expected. And please take into consideration, that maybe our expectations were too high also after the top notch starters. And the food was still very good and the service very professional and friendly.

Top recommendation if you want to enjoy fine fish cuisine in a nice and refined place. Even if this restaurant has hosted many German and international personalities from the politics or arts it welcoming to all. It looks to be liked by locals for their family gathering which is an additional positive sign. Fish menu of the day were delicious. Reservation are imperative to get a table

I gave 4 stars for the history of this place but unfortunately the service quality is going down...I don't see anymore that classic professional service but instead a "too friendly " approach when was not necessary...then service "mistakes" like : bread was brought and dump on the table before all guest were there without any presentation...no advice on the menu, no suggestions...wine was served like in the "knipe" corner street,splashing out of the glass...salt and pepper were on the table together with dessert...and many other things wich are not compatible with "fine dining ". Don't get me wrong it is still a very good place in town, but not what was used to be, I just hope ,for them, to change some of the service procedures. On the kitchen side, very good quality whit nice plating. Good wine selection as well.
