This is a place i’ve been to many many times. I was with my family having a few drinks and the manager cancelled our drink order and told us to leave because there were people waiting. we were kicked out. i’ve recommended this place to many people and friends but this experience was horrific. never come here, you never know when the manager will kick you out for being there too long… They seem to serve caucasian customers with priority. we spent over $400 in less than 2 hours and they treat you like garbage

Acuario used to be good. Actually, it used to be great until Eduardo took over. This family business restaurant was better administered in the past years. It seems Eduardo (owner) has a clear agenda to discriminate against Spanish speaking customers and takes priority for the caucasian customers. Closing off certain sections of the restaurant to appease customers of the non Spanish speaking kind. If you mention the issue to a manager at the restaurant, she will only say, “speak to the owner” but the owner either isn’t there or when reached, doesn’t want to speak. This restaurant needs a change in policy and management.

I have been debating on wether to leave a review becuause Ive never had to write one but after very much consideratuin I thought it was a good timing, Acurio has such great food but the vibe of its employees is very disertaining! I've been their quit a few times and have always left uncomfertable. everytime i walk in the waitress and or hostess has an attitude and dosent even introduce themselves and or say Hi not only that but today when i went with a freind to go pick up their takeout order the lady helping us quit literally forgot we were their infront of us and one of the chefs in the sign had to giver her a signal to make our prescence known... the main message here is to basically teah your employes some type of proper ediquate! the first thing people see when theu walk into a resturant is the way they are approached. If you dont fix this you will lose customers!!

I order two pollo a la brasa they came with two sides French fries and Salad, the salad was bad, smelling horrible. I called the restaurant to tell them what was going on and they hung up phone on me.I tried to call them again they never answer my phone call. I'm upset because that's not the way you treat your costumer and second you can't sell food that it's on bad condition it's unhealthy some can get sick if they eat that food

Great food and huge portions. Lomo saltado is delicious and their house sauce is incredible. Went on a Saturday night though and it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. It was insanely loud. My mom was in town and we couldn’t really catch up because we couldn’t hear each other. Server could barely hear us either. They weren’t even playing Latin music or anything, just super loud house/techno music. I would rather just do takeout next time. If the food wasn’t good it would have been a very unpleasant experience overall.

One of the best Latin restaurants I’ve ever been to, it’s Peruvian specifically which has Latin and Asian elements to it. Everything on the menu is delicious and seems very authentic. The restaurant is frequented by the local Hispanic population so you know they are doing something right. A big fan of the ceviche, mariscos and the lomos.

Acuario staff provide excellent customer service. The food is delicious and it’s in a great location with ample parking. Highly recommended for birthday celebrations. Just let the server know and they will come to the table and sing “Happy birthday” with a surprise slice of cake and great music!

I can say with confidence that Acuario is my favorite Peruvian restaurant in CT. Everything is delicious. I haven’t had an off day with them yet. Flavors are robust and everything tastes fresh every time I go. My personal favorite is the lomo de mariscos — you definitely get your money’s worth. The chaufa de vegetales is also a huge hit over here! The portions are large so you get to take it home and enjoy it again. The green sauce (aji verde) is truly to die for. I would do anything for that recipe! Their staff is sweet and service is great with them, and some Spanish speaking if you prefer to communicate that way! I make it a point to bring out of area friends there for a meal or just quick drinks. Definitely doesn’t disappoint!

The food is over priced. Like $23 for a llomo saltado. And $13 for a sangria. The food is not bad but again, expensive. I think it's Peruvian and they make one of the best pisco sours outside Lima. The scene is quite local Hispanic with plenty of families and sports in tvs by the bar. All in all not a bad spot.

First time trying Peruvian food. Highly recommend this place. Large portions! For appetizer had the tostones (fried plantains) and main meal we tried the beef fried rice and pescado a lo macho. The entrees we very good! The fried rice definitely good size for 2 people. Good price and nice ambiance as well. I thought the service was good too, but also went at 9pm so not a lot of people in the restaurant.

My wife and friends took me here for my birthday, and it was great. The food is amazing, especially the Lomo saltado. I've had it elsewhere; it was lacking in every way when compared to Acuario. The prices were good. The staff was friendly and attentive towards our needs. What more could you want in a good restaurant? Side note, gratuity is included in the check when you have a big party. But again, it was a great experience at Acuarios.👍👍

Very bad service, many waiters, who do not strive to provide good service, is it because the service is included in the payment of your account? and the wait is very long for the food dishes, they made us feel very uncomfortable because they wanted us to finish quickly to leave, the regular food, the grilled chicken is not very good.

Best Peruvian Resturant in Stamford. There are many different ones to choose from but this one will not disappoint. Typically we’re there at least once a week. Food is amazing!! Staff from the time you walk in makes you feel like family.

We stumble upon this great restaurant while we were in Stanford Connecticut. I can say if you like Peruvian Cuisine and you are around Stamford this is the place. I can tell you the Ceviche mixto I had I have never had something like this before. Totally love it ! So delicious! I totally recommend this place.

The food here is always phenomenal. The best lomo in Stamford hands down. So delicious, so fresh, such great serving sizes, and cooked with passion. 5 stars to the chef. I always order here but today was my first day dining here. It never disappoints. One staff member however was rude and did have an attitude. Luckily I had a different waitress who was very attentive and hospitable. Thank you to this amazing restaurant for always satisfying my lomo craving. Please keep the chef around and you have my business forever!

First time coming here, and the food was amazing! I would only come back for the food. The service here is completely horrible. They don't offer water while waiting for your food to arrive. The only drinks they do provide are the ones you ordered. They also don't check up on you if you ordered or not. I was sitting for 15 mins until someone came and asked if I needed anything. After the food, the waitress never came back. I was here when they were about to close, and there weren't so many people there at all. So the excuse of them being super busy. I don't buy it. Other than all this, honestly, the food is amazing. I'm just sad to see how things are running around here.

I have been going here since February-March of this year of 2016. This location has been open since December 2015. Their original location is in Portchester, NY. But that closed during the pandemic. This is a very good restaurant. Normally clean, the food is excellent, price are decent for the area. The music is usually good. The people that work there are very friend and usually treat you like a member of their family. They do have happy hour specials (drinks and food) Their lunch sizes and regular sizes are huge. Definitely a top pick for the area. Highly recommend!!

I'm Very disappointed with this place. I ordered a fried snapper that cost 30 bucks. It was very dry with no flavor at all. The rice was hard not a good texture. I didn't enjoy it at all. Plus it was too expensive not worth it. The service there wasn't great. Everyone had a serious face. I was feeling very uncomfortable. I don't think I will return again. And also it's very crowded.

Today I had the worst experience in this restaurant, to begin, my family and I received the worst service from the waitress Maria V (according to the receipt) she was training someone apparently and she wanted to take everything off the table without asking, also made a mistake with the order, some dishes were not presented in the same way and the salad was tasteless and cut for animals, and bland, they still have the nerve to add 18% gratuity for service when it was the worst I’ve received there.

We like to go there for appetizers and dinner, and for enjoying the Latino atmosphere. I asked for 2 Baileys on the rocks last night and the bill surprised me $22 each… $44 for both!!!! Seriously??? Even at very high-end restaurant same drink can be $12-14-16 but $22?? Not even a big glass… so disappointed. I used to recommend this place but now forget it!!!

Great food and it is a lively upbeat place. They seated us quicker then expected with it being Mother's Day. The green sauce was also very tasty. I liked that it had bits of the ingredients it gave it a different texture then I normally see. I always have to get a side of white rice and french fries. And when they brought it they also brought the condiments as well, which go perfect with the rice and french fries.

Excellent Peruvian food, we order ceviche and lomo saltado. They could improve their service but my overall experience was great.

Food was mediocre at best. Steak, shrimp and chicken kebobs were tough. Entrees came as we were still eating appetizers. I asked for scallops to be cooked through and they were overcooked and hard and very small. I know it is restaurant week. You would think they would want to show their best so people go back at other times. Very disappointing. Won't go back.

Great looking place, great waitress but the food is below average it's the kind of food you would expect from cheap take out. I definitely wouldn't come here again or recommend it. Sorry but it's the honest truth.

I came here with my boyfriend for lunch and was excited to see the inexpensive options and a daily drink special. Saturday they have $5 minosas (all day) along with huge portion sizes. It was delicious and the wait staff were friendly. I recommend the charcoal 1/2 chicken with totones. There is parking right outside and we were able to find a spot and walk right in.

I ordered the vegetables chaufas. The food was really good. The rice was cooked well. Veggies were fresh. I applied the green sauce on the rice to give it some spice. Thank me later. I like it. Food took about 15 mins and came nice and warm. Service was good until it was time to get the check. Took quite sometime but other than that. The food is really good. I like it.
