-> nearly everytime cool music -> cozy location, pub itself -> table soccer for free, boardgames and videogames -> good beer menu including supraregional beer, but too less beer from Bamberg, beers-to-go too small and too expensive. -> opportunity to smoke in the backyard and little swings made out of old skateboards 👍 Compared to competitors relatively high prices. And that's not at all "Alternative"

Super laid back, yet the staff is paying attention to details in making sure you'll enjoy your brief tenure at the establishment. A good selection of beer, wine, and cocktail offerings which will cater to even the most picky of patrons.

My favourite place in Bamberg

Best Bar in town! Great atmosphere, excellent cocktail selection. Dope music..sometimes Live music, poetry slams, a Super Nintendo and a funky men's bathroom. This bar has become one of the cultural hotspots in Bamberg with many international guests as well. Make sure to check out the inner court during the summer months.

"I'm here for the stories" said Memo, the bartender and owner of the Freiraum. He heard my dad and I speaking in Spanish and he learned we were from Mexico. He talked about his passion for Mezcal and brought us all the Mezcal bottles he had and encouraged us to have a tasting on the house! He loves what he does and can prepare a sophisticated drinks! If you want to go to a chill atmosphere and make a friend a long the way, stop here. Tell him I said hi, he will remember our story.

The most extraordinary pub in bamberg city! Quite cheap, great people (mainly students) plus gently and friendly barkeepers! A must See for sure!! ;) triple thumbs up :D *cheers*

One of the favourite places in Bamberg, both the bar and café. Loft design and very friendly atmosphere, good beer, very nice fireplace in cafe.
