    Placed order for delivery on McDonald's app (delivery not free). Food arrived cold and with items missing. As restaurant did not answer the telephone when I tried calling them my wife (who is on crutches hence requiring delivery) and I had to drive to the restaurant in question to get the order corrected and replaced. What is the point of a delivery service if you have to go to the restaurant anyway? Whilst reversing into a parking space, I nearly ran over a McDonald's employee (Lamal) who was totally oblivious to anything going on around him. When I bought this up with the manager after getting or order replaced she said that Lamal had gone home for the day so couldn't be spoken to, even though I saw him in the car park! Absolutely appalling

    Since the refit (May 2022) the service and quality is rubbish! Of the 4 meals ordered, we were missing 2 fries and 2 drinks. The happy meal had about 6 chips in total (no exaggeration). The big Mac had about 15 pickles and both slices of cheese together and mostly not even in the burger! The guy serving didn't like the fact I'd pointed out the missing items and tried to say the happy meal chips were in the box, we were literally presenting the box with the fries in it to him! It took about 30 minutes for the food to be served this was echoed by others I heard that were waiting for take away orders. Maybe the staff are all new and it'll get better with time? Currently it's a total shambles, I'd avoid and use the other restaurant. Update a couple of months later: still useless, systems always seem to be down so mobile orders don't work. Today the screens for ordering were also dead. Nobody manning the till (again as usual). Staff seem to hide in the kitchen where they can't be seen due to the new layout of the restaurant. Seriously they need to put everything back as it was when it was the good Maccers in Stevenage.

    Always get my orders wrong and when i try to call to complain, no one answers. Nobody ever asks if sauces are wanted anymore and get so much rudeness from staff. Don’t understand how a restaurant chain can have that much problems over getting orders right and even demonstrating typical customer service. Won’t bother returning again.

    Probably the worst McDonald’s on the planet. Every time something in the order is wrong or missing. Frequently the food is cold. Inside it is filthy. Overflowing bins, sauce smeared on the floor, tables covered in food. The staff are beyond disinterested and rude. Go to any other McDonald’s.

    First and foremost, I am type 1 diabetic. Called in this evening and asked for a DIET Coke. Drank half of it and within half an hour my blood sugar levels rocketed. Obviously FAR from being a Diet Coke, now you’ve made me feel absolutely sh1te and will be feeling like this for many hours to come. When someone asks for a Diet Coke please pour the right drink and don’t lie.

    The restaurant and the toilets were in an absolute state. Really bad. Rock solid fish fingers in Happy Meal that we had to return.

    My Friend DK bought 20 chicken nuggets and I must say… they were the best nuggets I’ve ever had. Perfectly crisp and golden with an elegant crunch. As a chicken nugget lover I am thrilled to say they are the best I’ve ever had! Cracking effort and keep it up

    Waited over 30minutes for our food to be ready when we were taking it to go and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant although there were cars in the drive through but people who arrived and ordered after us got there food before us? Which made no sense at all and when we got the food it was luke warm rather than hot.

    As a former Manager for McDonalds I feel embarrassed to leave such a poor review. Stevenage itself is too big of a population / demanding for this small McDonald’s. I know there are 2 but it either needs to be placed somewhere bigger where more workers can be employed to keep up with the high demand, or cut out the delivery service as workers clearly can’t manage. They all need a pay rise for the amount of fast paced work they do. Food always takes far too long, for a fast food restaurant. The food itself is poor, not putting the accurate amounts of ingredients in the burgers, more training is needed. Chips tend to be undercooked and under salted, and the food overall tends to be cold / old. Not enough, if any greeting service from the staff but not all staff, some are very friendly, I could imagine why others aren’t. Also, overpriced for the quality of the food.

    I saw one of the staff who blows his nose and then carry on with his work, without washing his hand. Another one was touching the food constantly whilst packing and they’ve touched their face, blew their nose before packing.

    Slow to the point of unbelievably. Yes there was a queue of cars at the drive through, but there were under 10 customers inside the restaurant yet it took well over 20 minutes for food to appear. It was so bad that some other customers were complaining that it was getting too late and they had to put their young children to bed.

    I went in on a fine Tuesday evening and a young lad name Micheal was working. He was fabulous with me and the family and amazing with the kids, making sure to entertain them. Very impressed with that man and I believe he deserves all 5 stars next to his name!

    Long queues at drive through. Basic order (2 hamburgers & chips) took ages to service - waited in bay while another (later) customer received their order, then had to go in store to ask about order. Disorganised chaos - only go there if you're desperate.

    Incredibly friendly staff, especially on the order booth. Ordered a grand big mac bacon deliberately without pickles, onions or lettuce and arrived just like that. Would hope for a little bit more sauce tho. Other than that, great McDonald’s

    When I ordered a chicken meal doe my grandson I said I only wanted chicken no sauce or anything else. Simple I thought got meal went home hey guess what it wasn't even chicken it was a bloody burger with cheese on.my grandson it badly dairy intolerant hence chicken no cheese sauce or anything else buck up and listen when people order this could have been a tragic event.

    It took far too long for the meals to become ready. When they arrived they weren't that hot and just didn't taste as good as normal. Overall a very disappointing experience. Would I go here again? Definitely not.

    Got home from a Mcdonald Branch in my area while eating my Italian Stack (was not tasty and soo bland between the burgers) and this was my 1st trial of this meal only to discover I wasn't even given sprite but water or something that tasted horrible and still upsetting my tummy as I type.... I called the branch several times to complain and no response hence I had to put of this review! This happened today less than an hour ago...So so upsetting 😡 I can't even complain 😪 till now no one is picking up the phone line

    Nice little McDonald's. Food well prepared. Busy drive through. Touch hard to get seats at peak times but well run and clean. They ran out of squishmallows from their recent promotion which made two people in our group a bit sad as it was advertised and one reason we choose to go to McDonald's that day. They're just too cute.

    Ordered a double quarter pounder and even though the sticker says double, it was a single also paid for two sweet chilli dips and only received one. Also paid for cheese in the chicken legend meal and didn’t receive it. The staff were messing around in the kitchen, one staff member put ice down another’s back and maybe if they did their job my order would have been correct and the que in the drive through wouldn’t have been unnecessarily held up

    Better off going to any of the other MC Donald's within the town, massive incompetence with food handling, incorrect and missing items, staff not willing to help after reporting. Phone number does not get you an answer either.

    I want to give a better rating but they never seen to get my order right and as we took it away I didn't notice until I got home so I'm now going without. A one off I can understand but it's almost every time.

    My wife and I have to, on almost ebrr visit, asked for the music, which quite often deafening, to be turned down. And while our request is usually met it is annoying. The music is ment to be 'background music' ONLY not at 'nightclub' level, people want to 'comfortably' socialise without having to SHOUT to be heard!!!!!!

    Worthy of one star just because the food was hot for once and the coffee was correct. Although staff was rude with no manners, forgot the fries that we paid for and didn't bother with a straw. P.s please remember the salt on the fries next time!

    Absolutely discussed, I brought our food in the drive through . The member of staff practically threw it at me and when she did i mentioned the bag was ripped and he turnt round and didn't come back. I got home to find half our food was missing and wasn't correct. We then approached your staff too tell them of the situation and ask for a refund and fresh food as it wasn't our mistake, as you can we were very annoyed but we were told it wasn't there policy. We managed to get a refund. But we will not be going back and we will be taking this further!!!

    I went in to order at machine and collect an ice cream quickly without going via drive thru which only had 2-3 cars on both lanes! They took around 15 minutes, ignoring all customers in store and only kept serving drive thru which wasn’t even busy. Next time I’m gonna order in, go out, join drive thru queue and not pay until they give my single flurry. McDonalds has forever been seriously understaffed despite their internal guides on how many staff they need to have for given times etc. Can’t blame the staff too, it all depends on ‘salaried management’ and owners who put pressure and make people work with least amount of staff.

    Walked in and was told there was a 45 minute wait as they prioritize home delivery and drive through. The restaurant had hardly anyone in there. Crazy management. Deal with orders as and when they come in. Don't prioritize one over the other.

    Fries were hot but burger was cold. Not many tables/seating a lot of seating was either low or tall stools that were not suitable for many people with medical issues or pregnant ladies. So busy saw a member of staff drop a drink off a tray they were carrying. Also no toilet paper in cubicles. Only one till point for people unable to use self-service screens. Has gone down hill from last visit mainly due to refit/ modernization.

    So, so poor. Went through the drive thru, ordered, was stuck there for a good 20 minutes or so, got to the window to pay to be told they're only accepting cash. Really poor management, it's very simple to let people know at the point of ordering is it not? Put up notices? Or send someone round to tell people queued up? Person on the till had a stinking attitude as well. No word of apology, just a blank stare while we were trying to scrape together the cash (which we couldnt do-dont often carry cash since the pandemic) customer service training sorely needed. Understand that things happen but this was dealt with incredibly poorly.

    Used this restaurant drive through probably four of five times this year. Every time we have missing items for our order. Last time a double quarter pounder box with a single quarter pounder and no cheese, and a missing box of fries. The time before a missing fillet of fish burger which seems unbelievable to get that wrong. Incorrect drinks and missing Mozzarella dippers etc. On top of it food is normally cold and not freshly cooked, whether i have been at peak time or off peak. You get the idea. I dont know how it can be wrong every time. It is infuriating and should not be happening. Drive through system is not great. Two terminals for service however the queue tails back into the car park and blocks the regular users from using and exiting the car park even if not using the drive through. After the two terminals you switch back to one lane for payment and to collect food and relies on people giving way to each other, which in principle is fine if people are nice, unfortunately this is often not the case. Generally more stressful and less satisfying than you would expect from a fast food restaurant that relies on quick turnaround and a dependable service. Not ticking any of those boxes for me on a regular basis and puts me off going.
