my girlfriend and I had dinner here this evening. courteous, friendly staff and the food was great 👍 I had mixed grill and the steak was just how I asked for it and my girlfriend had the rump steak which was just how she asked for. I had the Rocky horror desert and my girlfriend had the waffle with ice cream and couldn't fault it at all, very tasty. The buttons on my shirt were being tested by the time we left!!! 😂 I didn't get the young ladies name that was serving us, but she couldn't of been more polite and friendly if she tried. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we were OK, had everything we needed and were happy, without being intrusive. A great visit and would happily visit again

Got the feeling this branch of Harvester was due to shutdown for good on our visit. Lots of menu items not available which was really disappointing and listening to another family going through the same experience was very cringey to listen to. The decor was tired, dark and in need of updating. Food was delicious and the young lad who served us was very polite but seemed to have conflicting information about what food item were available.

Always happy with the quality at Harvester! Firstly, friendly and welcoming staff members from greeting, seating, salad bar, food ordering and getting the bill. The food quality was very good, generous portions and good quality control even when it was a busy night there. Went away stuffed and satisfied.

Went along for a Father’s Day meal out. Food very good both in presentation and flavour. Free salad bar is a great bonus and a standout feature from other restaurants. Prices very reasonable and a decent menu selection too. My wife was able to use her NHS discount here so we got a pretty good deal overall. Our hostess was very friendly and attentive; even my kids commented on how good she was. Will definitely come again!

Lovely service. We couldn’t fault Adam, our Waiter. He was very enthusiastic and chatty. Salad bar was getting a little thin on the ground at times so had to wait for it to be refilled. No cucumber. Place a little messy but probably due to it being extremely busy. Overall We were very happy & enjoyed our meal. Mainly thanks to Adam’s great service. Thank you 👍

Fabulous, uber-cool restaurant. My daughter and I had lunch there last Saturday. The tasting menu is fantastic. Pricey but worth it. A wonderful experience.

The waitress was lovely is really the only thing I could say was good about the experience. We had to replace a chair one of us had as it was ripped and torn, as were many of the chairs in the restaurant. This is the second time we have visited in the last 6 weeks, and then as the same Wednesday, there were many things missing from the menu. I had to ask for the vegetables to be replaced, they were foul. They looked very old, withered and tasted awful. My friend had the same meal and her vegetables looked lush and green. Finally, I went to the toilet and 2 of the 3 cubicles had no lock on. I spoke to the manager about this and he said that there had been a problem the day before with two children getting themselves locked in the toilets so they had had to remove the locks. I asked why they had not been replaced and he said a company had to come in and do it. I was told I could use the disabled toilet. Why was there not a sign at the entrance to the ladies toilet telling me of this! The restaurant really looks very sad and in need of refurbishment. Not a pleasant experience for me and my 3 friends. We have now decided to go to another restaurant when we meet up agiain in 6 weeks.

Bit different after the pandemic, salads are served by their staff, bread rolls were very dry. Staff was very friendly and professional, food was great for the friendly price but I did send the mojito cocktail back as glass was dirty and had red markings inside it. We chose the starter tapas, chicken wings, sweetcorn ribs & prawns serving time was great not too long a wait. Flatbread was great too can't fault them.

Have been going to this Harvester for years after the pantomime but this year they refused to accommodate 12 of us, even at 3:30pm in the afternoon. We said we would happily wait a bit longer for food and offered to sit on 2 tables of 6 but they said it would not be possible to be near each other. We easily booked into another chain pub, all on one table, and will not be returning to this Harvester with our custom in the future. It just felt like they did not want to make the effort in any way.

I liked going to the harvester. I went with a friend for a late lunch early dinner. Food was ok, I had salmon and vegetables. It tasted like the potato was reheated or had been sitting out for a while as the top of it was a little dry. The quality of food here seems ok, it's not fine dining although it's affordable and I ate the whole lot. The best part for me was the desert, it was lovely, big and worth the price I believe. You can tell the brownies are not from what I could tell homemade however I ate the lot and would again 😁

Anniversary celebration for two. We were met at door and taken to a nice quiet table slightly away from others. Our server Adam was very friendly and took the time to ask what kind of meal we wanted and then made some very good recommendations from the menu, We had the ultimate combo whixh was delcious and there was plenty of it. Refillable soft drinks ment we could stay and relax a little longer without rushing off or running up an expensive bar bill. We'd like to say a big thankyou to Adam for helping make our celebration even more enjoyable.

Went to the Harvester for dinner tonight at 8pm. The food was great (both mains and dessert). The triple rocky horror waffle was amazing. We had the most amazing server named Adam, so kind and was dedicated to making sure we got the best service. Would 100% recommend.

What a friendly place! 😊 We hadn't booked which was pushing our luck for a Saturday lunchtime but the lovely staff still managed to find us a table for 2....and it was busy!! Lots of families and a diverse age range of clientele. Seems like a popular place for good reason. Our waitress was an absolute gem, the food we ordered was fresh and delicious. Salad cart was pristine. Top marks to the staff because this place was immaculate. 👏 👏 👏 👏

I consider myself a bit of a foodie although not a professional by any means. I have to say that my meal here (bird, surf & turf) was amazing. Best steak I have had in a long time, even rivals some that I have had in the states that were grilled by pit masters. The chicken also was so moist yet still captures the chargrilled flavour which so many end up dry & chewy. Despite being full, it left me wishing I could eat it again. Can't praise this place & it's chef enough

The main meals of burger and chicken were delicious. Service was efficient and pleasant. We had the mini pudding which was supposed to be a brownie, but it was a stodgy chocolate cake Also the bread rolls were cold, the Harvester always had the reputation of serving warm rolls.

Arrived without pre booking ..seemed quite busy ..however Manager managed to find a table for 2. We were served by Christine ,who when advised of dietary requirements ,immediately went and got manager to attend our table where she fully reassured my partner . First course arrived pretty quickly. We both had steak .main course cooked EXACTLY as ordered and was perfect. Food all-round not to be faulted . We found out it was Christine's first shift ,so ,she deserves much credit for her customer service ,please pass on. The manager and another member of staff who attended also were very good too.

Food was below quality for the price paid. You can get bigger portions for less money at Beefeater now. Salad bar some of us had began to fill our bowls and eat them and were then told the whole salad bar needed to be replenished as the heat had got to it. Whilst I applaud that they were checking it, it didn't fill with confidence for the food already consumed and then a big wait before the rest of us could eat. Service (no fault of the lady that served us) was appalling. Table of 12 of us and our desserts were coming out 2 at a time with a good 1/2 hour between first and last dishes coming out. The atmosphere was good though.

Visited today. From the start our waitress Agnes was amazing. Very attentive, we were served promptly and with a smile. The food was amazing, so thank you to all the kitchen staff. We will definitely be making a return visit. Thank-you to all the staff at Harvester Roaring Meg.

We decided to pop along after a Christmas event we were on the way to was cancelled at the last minute....and I'm so glad we did! We had a warm welcome on arrival and was seated immediately. Our drinks order was taken and the bowls for the salad was bought over quickly, which was handy because I was pretty hungry. The salad bar was fully stocked and so were the bread rolls. We were told there wasn't any chicken goujons or Southern fried burgers, which obviously meant none of the dishes that included these were unavailable and that ended up being quite a few. None the less when the food arrived it was faultless as per usual. We had starters, main and dessert and all were fantastic. From our table we were able to see the kitchen and noticed what good communication they all had and what a smooth service it was. Our server for the evening was Adam who was attentive and had such an upbeat and energetic personality, it was contagious. He's certainly an asset to have and between the good service and good food, we had a great visit 👍🏻

We came here after a day out. I have to say, this is probably one of the best Harvesters I have ever been. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. I have to give a massive shout out to Ad (Adam) our waiter, he was absolutely brilliant. He had so much energy and enthusiasm for his job, it was actually really nice to see. He really made our dining experience easy and fun. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!!

We were warned that the salad bar was very limited.... and they weren't wrong! Very little choice - good job we like black olives. The service was very slow (obviously due to half term) but the staff were lovely and helpful. If this had been our first visit here we probably wouldn't come back but we've had really good experiences in the past so will chalk this up as a one off.

Me and my partner enjoyed this place very much, the quality of food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to be brought out to us either! Members of staff were nice and welcoming. Special mention to Mitchell, who in my opinion was the best waiter I’ve ever had, anywhere. He was polite, helpful and even brought humour to the table aswell. Definitely made our experience that much better. Would recommend this place to anyone 👍

The customer service provided by the waitress was absolutely fantastic! The menu is varied and the food is well presented. The only downside was that the food arrived at our table a little cold. We didn’t complain because we had to wait quite long for the food to arrive and it was getting late.

Loved the service and the nicely cooked food. Even given a little bowl to have salad while we waited. There were no rolls but it was quiot though was monday. Very Clean and tidy. Had the Chicken trio, the cajun had spicey kick to it the chicken leg was little dry. My friend had the same but with corn 🌽 and my other best mate loved his pulled pork burger. Too full for pudding. Delicious 😋

Had a lovely lunch. The waiter was lovely helpful. I have special dietary requirements and together we found something I could eat. The only downside is they don't have a separate menue for gluten or dairy free options and it's not marked on the main menu either so unless you have a good knowledge of what you can and can't eat this could be a problem.

Took the little one for something to eat. She enjoyed herself and the treat. Picked her meal and her own salad bits. The staff where lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed our food. It was a busy evening but by time we had done salad our food arrived.
