Namaskaar Indian Restaurant

Restaurant Indian restaurant

👍👍 I am an Indian and trust me, this restaurant is better than a lot of Indian restaurants I tried in Sweden(mostly south) when it came to veg. I tried palak paneer and motor paneer with rice. It felt more authentic. Papadam with mango sauce was great. Also it’s papadam quantity is good. People often mention Indian, good, service,

Namaskaar provided us with a very nice dining experience. The service was very friendly and the food was tasty. Unfortunately, the Pani Pure wasn't available, so we settled for Samosas and Onion Bhajis for starters. Good portions, nicely presented. The portion sizes of the two dishes were a little inconsistent, with the Onion Bhaji being much more than the Samosa, but that's by the by. Mains were a really nice Daal Makhoni, which the chef spiced up on my request, Mango Prawn Karai, rice, and naan bread. A large bottle of Kingfisher and a glass of wine provided the liquid refreshments. All in all, easily among the best Indian restaurants I have been to in Stockholm.

Really nice restaurant around this area. Tasty food, Indian spices flavours not just spiciness. We had Muttor-Paneer and Palak Paneer, I really liked it. Good and very polite staff. Bit expensive but thats ok, just mentioning. Go and must try, you would like it.

The flavors are pretty sweet. Typical adjustment for Swedish tastes I guess.

Like the variety of dishes in the menu and the coziness of the restaurant. These aspects have been a stable part of the restaurant. Service is friendly. Wait was about 15mins. The food at Namaskaar on the other hand has seen its share of ups and downs during my visits over the last 10 years. My latest visit was for a takeaway. The food was eaten within an hour of being bought. 🔸️ Lamb Balti ⭐⭐⭐ Adequate serving and 6 or more medium chunks of lamb. The meat is tough but fresh. The sauce is appetisingly chunky and has a strong sourish touch of lime. 🔸️ Papadums ⭐ Tasted like it has been sitting around for awhile. Would have been nice if it was fried to order. 🔸️ Naan ⭐⭐ Alright but became hard rather quickly.

Nice food, good quality, nice atmosphere but if you are a tourist and you are not well dressed they pretend that the house is all reserved.

Had a lovely prawn butter but the chicken tikka was a bit tasteless. Overall good service and friendly staff.

Great food! Never disappointed! Although one small portion of rice is too little for order for two people. I would definitely add more rice to orders :)

Expensive but it's not Indian so think for taste before you order Indian food.

The food was so bad I was compelled to write a review. You have been warned. Worst Indian food I’ve ever had.

Good and friendly staff Food is ok. The restaurant suggestion was to have balti and karai, which are their specials and are spicy. Unfortunately both of them seem sweet and the taste was average. Also had a vindaloo, which was really spicy, but the spices were undercooked, tasted like chilli powder. We had couple of breads too, out of which garlic nan was good and fluffy, and peshwari nan felt like a dessert. Preparations were really slow, average 20 minutes to get curry to the seat. So plan accordingly.

The best Indian food we've ever tried - we ordered two different sizzlers with rice and garlic bread, and everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The sauce was a lovely mix of sweetness and spices. The staff was very welcoming and helped us understand what the dishes were. It was a feast of flavors! Definitely recommend a delicious food spot in Stockholm :)
