A good place to taste swedish christmass food. The buffet was good.

Went here for Valentine's day dinner and it's a really cozy place. Staff was friendly but one of them was a bit odd but still we had a lovely time. Food was great and at the end they handed a rose to my girlfriend and the bill to me, that's quality. They do brunch too which I would like to try. The location is beautiful and you can easily walk to both Södermalm and Kungsholmen after reading here.

Very nice and fancy looking restaurant in the super interesting building - former prison. Nice staff and welcoming atmosphere from the beginning. Big plus for bread and small salad as a waiting-for-your-order dish. We ordered fried brisket and vegan lentil curry. Dishes were ok, nothing crazy good or bad, there was not "wow" effect and cauliflower in the curry to hard for my taste. Place worth to visit in package with hotel, museum and island itself.

Really good food and fast service! I would say it has Swedish food on menu, portions are good sized and interesting looking. It is in old prison building so you get historical wibe as well. We had a dinner on Thursday and restaurant was not full.

With an interesting history, good location, great staff, great food and beautiful walkways outside långholmen has a lot to offer! Well worth a visit in my opinion

Lovely restaurant on an island in the middle of Stockholm. It is located inside a building that used to be an old prison. The buffet style food is recommended for brunch. If you can fit in a tour of the old prison too, it's recommended! The only bad thing about the restaurant is that the food was a little sparse. It's a popular place so some of the things ran out. Well worth a visit though!

The meat was a bit chewie and the tofu was tasteless. We hade better meatballs. So it was ok but not so much more. The staff was all around talking to each other not working too hard. I wont be coming again.

Nice gluten free beer. We asked for a non buffet Julbord and got small portions. We were put onto a table where social distancing was really good.

Surprisingly good given what I had guessed, since it is connected with the ex-prison hotel. I imagined they only had hard tack and gruel, but not so. They switch menus in the afternoon to one that is a bit more posh. If you stay in the hotel I would absolutely suggest that you eat here at least once. Fantastic personnel. Food is good (well above average) but customer service is really bad. Was there when it started to rain. When the sides of the overhead canvas gave out and a couple of tables had their food and drink flooded, the staff simply left the outdoor seating area. Personally I think that when something like this happens the establishment should offer replacement dishes / drinks but here there was no help offered by staff to move guests to new tables, no towels for those who got drenched and not even a question if someone wanted to order something to replace what was ruined.

Cozy atmosphere, nice staff, beautiful location, delicious food. Degree of grilling and quality of beef fillet were just perfect.

The food was amazing for the fair price ! The Caesar salad was amazing and the meat was super tender.

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Qualität des Essens. Als Hotelgäste sind wir spontan am ersten Abend dort gewesen. Aus meiner Sicht mit Tendenz zum Michelinstern. Die Auswahl war sehr gut und wir sind sehr zufrieden ins Bett. Bei der Bar wäre es schön gewesen mehr Anwesenheit und 'last order' zu nutzen.

Edited 220703 after a dissapointing dinner. The cooks seem to be on vacation as the food was unconvincing, to say the least. The menu is also substantially shorter and the grounds around the Värdshus are nowadays overgrown. The very few guests at prime time Saturday dinner reflect how low this establishment has fallen. It's a pity as its location could make it one of Sthockholms best joints. Now it is not worth the visit except for a beer. Skip the food and save your money.
