Lovely peaceful walk on this beautiful lake and forest Great cafe with delicious food

Take time to hike or ride your bike here. Excellent location for a leisurely weekend lunch. Try the hot food with amazing desserts and drinks in the main lodge, or check out the food trucks with hot dogs and ice cream around the exterior. Plenty of seating despite good sized crowds.

Mushrooms (100% canned, not fresh) texture like rubber, noodles way overcooked and falling apart. Also the food is 100% re-heated not freshly cooked since it was ready after 1 minute?! Definitely way overpriced for 15€. Additionally the cashier was rude in explaining how the process of getting your food works. Wouldn’t come again for a meal. The cake looks good though.

The area in general is really nice for hiking bbq and enjoying nature in general. The Restaurant and the ambience could be much better with regards to the equipment, quality of the meals and the dessert. The beer from the Fass was good.

A moderately sized menu, very tasty food. Average protions for average prices. Food serving speed is instant, at under 2 minutes for all ordered positions (the establisment has a caffeteria-like serving system).

Love that place. They have such a great variety of meals, drinks & yummy Kuchen! The surroundings are so beautiful, and they have lots of inside and outside seating options. Also, it can get very busy on a sunny weekend day, but the kitchen works fast.

Very nice place in the middle of the forest and close to the lake. The perfect spot to make a pause of your bike/rando time, grab a drink (soft and beers) and if you have hungry you can eat a proper meal as well. All surrounded by beautiful nature 🌿🍻

Hiked the park and right un the middle was this great resting spot. Although we just had a little treat, there is a full restaurant options. I spied on the plates of other patrons and the food looked and smelled fabulous. It was a holiday weekend and the place was packed, however it was very efficient and we only waited in line for only 3-4 min. There was seating up on a deck around the building as well as inside seating and out in the yard surrounding. So never a concern as to finding a place to sit down and enjoy your treat! Bathrooms were plentiful, there was a line for the women's, but it went quickly for as busy as it was. The park walk was splendid, even for early spring I found some blooms and a very interesting water foul that I have never seen in the states!

It is always a joy to be able to have some hot food right after a nice long nature walk, the location here is perfect, plenty of outdoor seating too. But the food here... I can't say I enjoy it much at all. Added review as to answer the owner's comment : That is right, I should have been more specific about why I did not enjoy the food, that is because: As other reviewers also have commented, the ingredients were not fresh, most of the food were premade(or at least taste like that)and some dishes were so salty and yet some dishes were tasteless. Flavorful dishes cannot be created just by adding salt though. I love good food but I don't come to the middle of a forest with high hope of having some gourmet food, but at least we would like the food to be somewhat fresh. We always respect a restaurant which can be proud of the food they make for people, could that to be too much a high standard for some restaurants?

Awesome place to chill near uni

Great place to lunch with friends and take a beer. Lots of walking/biking paths to/from here into local forests.

It is hidden away in the woods around lakes. The walk is rewarded with a warm kitchen that serves a full meal, coffee, cakes and cold drinks. There is sufficient seating inside and outside, place to have a picnic too.

Great place by the river to get good food and some drinks to cool off on a hot summer day. Definitely check it out.

Very friendly staff, food comes quickly and ordering works efficiently. There are tables overlooking the lake that not many people use, there are usually quite free. Overall a great place to take a break!

Rich food, good beer. We walked into the woods from our hotel, the Relexa, had a good bit of exercise and a full stomach. Greatest nap afterward.

If you live close to the this place you need to go here. One of the best breathing areas of Stuttgart. Can be difficult to find a good parking spot. But you can park on the street. No problem too get around with a trolley. Nice restaurant! Can be crowded on the weekends. But enormous grass lawn too sit down with a blanket. Good signs for an understanding of where to go and where you are.

A great location, but not quiet - it is well loved by lots of locals who are walking, running and biking to and passed. The food is standard Swabian fare, done well.
