(Translated by Google) I will never understand why this great museum is only open until 5pm. There is so much to see, but it does cloud something that the supervisor regularly looks at the clock from 4 p.m.

No bags allowed, no matter how small. There are lockers with basic locks (I bet the same key would open at least 3 different lockers), no liability. They don't warn about this when selling tickets online, but are adamant about this rule. At least they didn't make a fuss when processing a refund. Will probably try to come later, but one star for now.

(Translated by Google) The museum is interesting ... there is no power to list everything, so I used the data from the museum booklet: "The Landesmuseum Württemberg (State Museum of Württemberg) is the main historical museum of Württemberg - part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The museum, and it was founded in 1862 by King William I have many worthy things ... Collections are grouped into eight departments: -archaeology: Paleolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Antiquity, Romans in Württemberg, early Middle Ages .... Museum of Ancient Art - Cabinet of arts and rarities - Early Celtic treasures Ernesto Wolf's glass collection antique glass modern glass -Watch and scientific instruments .. In addition to these collections, the museum regularly hosts special exhibitions ... Simply put the museum presents a number of archaeological treasures and a significant collection of medieval art. It also includes the inventory of the former army and production museums. Some of the museum’s most valuable possessions were acquired by the dukes for their art chamber: two of the four surviving Aztec feather shields until 1521 and the oldest surviving card game, circa 1430, richly decorated and expensive already from the time of production ... Among exhibits of local origin - 1493 Johannes Scheffler's heavenly globe, Philippe Matthews Khan's 11-digit 1774 mechanical calculator, and possibly the most emblematic museum exhibit, even though it looks like the others: the royal crown Württemberg of 1797 ... "Everything is so, I saw both the globe and the calculator .. the crown and scepter with real diamonds made a strong impression ...

Great museum and very extensive and detailed. Also great for kids. We went during a citytrip with my son of 12 years.Entrance to the castle is for free. The exhibition about magical clocks was impressive. The castle/museum cafe serves great cakes, sweet and savory ones. We spent easily 3 hours there. Worth the visit I would say.

(Translated by Google) Was - looked ... The conclusion is that I visited a good German museum of local lore. A large archaeological exposition is all behind glass ... we must pay tribute - a lot of money has been invested here ... somewhere, even glass interferes with the perception of ancient Roman rarities))) ... But not the whole museum is such a wooden sculpture, paintings are quite accessible if glass is present, it doesn’t interfere, it doesn’t glare ... There is a lot of gold and silver, but if compared with the Bavarian National Museum, it’s simpler here ... Personally, I liked everything ... archeology, however, is not my type .. everything else is quite ...

(Translated by Google) The exhibition in the old castle, which served as the residence of the counts and dukes of Württemberg for almost 500 years with short interruptions, is absolutely worth seeing! Admission is free and a visit for which you should definitely plan a little more time to admire all the many exhibits is definitely worth it!

The museum itself it’s really amazing but the staff at the information Center was not helpful at all. We arrived at the early afternoon and bought the tickets for 1 st and 2nd floors combined exhibitions according to the staff’s recommendation. After we just finished visiting the 1st floor (which is like 45 mins) and the museum suddenly announced that they’re closing the museum early due to the concert being held outside the museum today. We then went back to the lady at the information Center asking the lady why she didn’t tell us this information at the first place and she just said it’s not her business, we should have known this information by ourselves and told us if we want to come back again just buy another ticket. It’s crazy of what she said as We would have not needed to buy the 2nd floor ticket if she has told us this information earlier. Been traveling a lot of countries and feel like the German service is always not ideal

Although the museum itself is beautiful and full of fascinating objects, the security was EXTREMELY unfriendly. We had our two small children with (with toys they were carrying to keep them entertained) and we also had two coffee thermoses which were completely sealed and in my wife's purse. In each exhibit we were harassed by the security and additionally told we couldn't visit the children's section if we were carrying the toys. Instead we left, and i would suggest that nobody visit with their family.

Well worth your visit. Check out the floor plan before you go in. There might be some exhibits that come later that you may want to spend more time in. As you walk through everything is in chronological order. I enjoyed the neanderthal, Celts and Roman exhibits the most.

Good place to visit when you’re in Stuttgart. It is exactly adjacent to To the bus station, so you can easily open and half of if you are using public transport. The overall architecture of this place is very good. Love the place, definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Stuttgart for first time.

Great place for adults and kids. Very well designed. Rooms after room you discover the history of the region and why it is like this today. Religion, arts, armors... for all people! My only comment: if you don’t take an audio guide, most items aren’t labeled in English, just the mainlines. Learn German! :)

Great museum. Very modern, well equiped, clean, and the exhibitions themselves are very well made. Only point of criticism: the museum opens at 10am, but part of it only opens at 1pm. There is however enough to remain busy until then.

A great museum for international tourists interested in the history of the region is this state museum. It covers the period from Neanderthal man all the way up until the middle of the 20th century. While it doesn’t go into the detail of modern Stuttgart, it sets up the story very well through the Roman era, the Middle Ages, and the kingdom that followed. The exhibits are in German and English and there’s a lot of interesting detail to learn along the way. This could be a good place to start your exploration of the region – particularly if you’re planning to see some of the old royal buildings.

(Translated by Google) I was in the special exhibition "Fascination Sword", which could be seen until April 28th, 1919. It was very interesting to learn everything about swords, from the beginning to the current use in games and films. And then I went to the 2nd floor for the exhibition on the history of Württemberg. Also very interesting and nicely presented. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time for the watch and glass exhibition, but I'll see them soon. A visit - no matter which of the exhibitions - is really worth it! But you should definitely take several hours for it. There are only a few parking spaces behind the museum (but these do not belong to the museum and you also have to buy parking tickets). It is highly recommended to travel by public transport, either with the U5, U6, U7, U12, U15 to Charlottenplatz or Schlossplatz, the museum (which is housed in the "Old Castle") is equally far (approx. 5 minutes) away on foot Or by bus line 42 to the final stop at Schlossplatz (which is then directly at the old castle / museum). All of these light rail lines and the bus also stop at the main train station (information for those arriving by train), however, the bus takes a long time from the main train station because of its distance. With the Stadtbahnen it is only 1 stop from the train station to Schlossplatz and 2 stops to Charlottenplatz). You can also walk from the train station either through the park (called Obere Anlagen, this runs from the train station to the left behind the buildings) or along the Königstrasse pedestrian zone (approx.

Excellent museum with a lot of cool historical and artistic items to see from primitive times, bronze age, Celt, Roman, middle ages, and renaissance eras. Cheap adult ticket price and it takes many hours to look through everything, even so I would like to return to see things in greater detail. A few English translations/audio available. Free easy storage of backpacks/coats.

The staff aren't very friendly, but the event that we went to was fantastic. We were there for a wine event. The wineries were all wonderful, the atmosphere was pretty nice and it was an enjoyable experience talking to the other patrons about wine. For the museum, its layout is spread enough that you don't get overwhelmed walking through the exhibits. I wanted to see more, so I will be going back at some point to check out the rest. The place is very clean and the bathrooms are clean. The only downside is the staff seems a bit frustrated when you ask questions about admission. Overall it was a good experience.

Hello, first of all i want to say that the 1h and 15 min we stay there went fantastic, the museum was interesting at all, but the girl on the reception called sari doesn’t gave us the correct information, we went there at 15.45 without knowing the site will close at 17.00 and we also ask how many time we should spend there and she said 2 hours, so is no sense to us to come in for only one hour, she should have tell us that because it his work, she was lying all the time going in a defensive way when we were talking to here in a gentle way. we went to other museum before this one and we didn’t have any problems on nothing, they told us the time we should spend, if it’s worth jt for people that doesn’t speak german, etc. i don’t recommend this site just for the way we were treated 🇪🇸
