If you don't enjoy Japanese food , this place is just right for you. From the moment I entered ,the whole experience is terrible. Service was bad. The salmon sashimi was frozen for a very long time, you can taste how dull it is , the discolouration & not to mention the meat YUCK! The curry rice , was below average. NOT TO MENTION THE CHICKEN WAS SPOILED , I ate 4 of it & I tasted the foulness in my mouth. Didn't even bother to finish any of the food. FYI QUALITY CONTROL WORST OF THE WOST. Not recommended.

Sushis which are delicious, affordable and a wide range of varieties to choose from (special sushis). They have a secret special sushi not written on the menu. It is called Snow Crab Sushi (Request with mentai sauce if you want). Feel free to try it.

At this price food consider ok. Kids enjoy themselves very much. Service acceptable, not too attentive yet when you need help at least someone will come to you. Normal setup consider clean. Fast serving.

Nowadays the quality is not as good as before despite the price is still affordable. Can see the aging of the outlet and being neglect. Environment wise is not as comfortable. Food wise the quality have drop significantly and unless it is made to order, come dinner the conveyor belt is quite empty and freshness is lacking too. Service wise is attentive though. This is an honest review. Many dishes are not available including my favourite salmon head teriyaki. Saba fish that I ordered was also not inserted into the order receipt. And whats the point of putting a pity-looking edamame to serve?! They look greatly unappetizing! I also ordered for agedashi tofu but there’s no dashi its just age-missing tofu! This does not even surpass the level of kitchen nightmare! Miso soup is bland! Teriyaki chicken is not hot! Miso soup is not hot! Takoyaki is not hot! Something is wrong with the gas supply is it?! I had to eat mamak after dinner to feed myself!! And my girlfriend is so upset with you!

I’ve had Sushi Mentai in 3 different outlets ever since 2016. It was the place I first fell in love with sushi because previously I never ate raw fish or was a fan of anything raw per se. The flavours in Sushi Mentai have remained the same since the first I had it, and the flavours have also remained consistent in all 3 outlets that I’ve been to. I love their special Mentai sauce and the free flow of ginger. Some of my favourites include the salmon, white tuna and hotate Mentai red sushi plates. Their sobas are very decent as well. I’m not sure of the exact names but I also love the inari sushi with salmon and torched Mentai sauce on top! 😋 Sharing also a photo of my favourite agedashi tofu. They forgot their greens, I suppose but in terms of flavour, solid 9/10.

Salad usually costs around RM13 in other restaurants, but Sushi Mentai has salad that cost RM9 plus, and it has a balanced amount of sashimi in it. Also, salad isn't their only trump card! For the branch at Puchong, you might wanna watch out where you sit if you don't want to smell smoky, as sometimes the chefs grill food near the conveyor belt.

The food was OK and price also not expensive. But the service level not satisfactory as the waiter black face all the time and rude when send over the foods as he just trow (yes! throw with lound sound) the bowl on the table and leave without even mention the serving name.

Sushi mentai is our favourite go to places to fix our cravings for Japanese food. However, the quality from this branch is different from the others Sushi mentai. The sweet sauce was salty and the pickled ginger was out of the world salty... Even the sushi was salty too... Quite a disappointment..

Came here on Sunday evening 8.30pm, which surprisingly not many of people. This place is great if you're planning on hanging out with your friends or family too. Especially if you're on a tight budget to enjoy sushi, this is the place to be as their prices are very reasonable. Sushi per plate is only RM1.80 & RM2.80, as from what I remembered. But for sure not more than Rm3.00. For their dishes like Bento sets and udon, everything is less than RM20. Furthermore, kudos to their customer service. Staffs are very welcoming and very helpful. I absolutely recommend this to everyone if you want to grab sushi for a feast.
