👍 Mar'22: Great place to chill but seatings are limited (probably for the better, if you're concerned about Covid). Alcohol prices are definitely on the higher end here, but you have a great variety of choices to look at. Update: Visited this place again in Jul'22, and it's much livelier now! There's... Mar'22: Great place to chill but seatings are limited (probably for the better, if you're concerned about Covid). Alcohol prices are definitely on the higher end here, but you have a great variety of choices to look at. Update: Visited this place again in Jul'22, and it's much livelier now! There's live singing which really brings up the mood. Lovely place! Ordered the RM 80 tester set, which was pricey, but some of them not bad ... 🍻 Update: Came here again in Jun'23. This time we ordered food for dinner and the food was not bad but nothing too special as well.

Update June 2022: Much improved customer service now, and more choices of beer and more reasonably priced. There are now beer coasters. They also expanded the size overall. Well done! Update February 2022 Wide selection of beer. Tastefully decorated and clean. These are for that 1 star. The place is mostly non air-conditioned, but they have fans. The quality of service really put us off. The staff does not seem happy, but they want to show that they seem to know what they are doing. They are not courteous and are not trained in hospitality / f&b. In terms of reservation, I called at 2pm to make a reservation for 5pm. When I arrived, the staff could not answer me immediately which table he has reserved for me. We are not the first time to bars. Obviously he did not reserve any table for me, cuz most of the ones around us were already seated with other people. Also, after standing infront of the fridge for some time, no one came and introduced what they have to offer. We also did not like the payment system for a bar - pick your beer and pay at the counter first. Who does that at a bar? The seats are designed to make you leave quickly - hard stools without any backrest. The beer is also not cold enough. They don't have coasters for the beer, and you will get messy droplets of water after a few minutes. It cost RM30 to 100 for a bottle of craft beer, and this is what we get? I've just recently been to their branch in DU, and it was a much better experience.

This place is very very Instagrammable albeit a bit hot and stuffy despite the number of fans installed. But what to do la this is Malaysia what. Beer selection is exceptional as usual. Glad to see the option of using beer paddle such as one in Aussie. But would really prefer a customizable one where we can select which to try since you aren't able to try individuals one in a single sip before buying. Yakitori food pairing with craft beer is just perfecttt but please do improve on the mains with more options if possible.

If you like beers and wanted to try uncommon brands and types, Farmer's Bar is definitely the place to visit. To access you need to use the stairs in front of the main entrance, and walk down to find a "hut-like" building with many open air seats. Inside the bar there is a row of fridge with more than 200 types of beers. All of which you don't find it at even the big supermarkets like Jaya Grocer or Bens. Price was of course on the high side, a small bottle cost from RM 30 above, and the KGS is priced at RM 62. It was fun to have sampled many types of beers, trying to taste the different type; some was fruity, some was bitter and some taste just like Malta. Great and fun experience here but be ready to spent.

A nice bar to chill. They have a wide selection of craft beer. Both in cans/bottles and draft. I find that the prices of the beers here can be a little on the high side. A bottle of beer can go for about RM60. The snacks (mainly Yakitori and grilled stuff) did pair well with the beers.

Kinda love this bar set up which is located at open area. Great ambience. They serve all types of beer from different countries bottle and they do serve tap beers too. Abit pricey but worth for a visit

My favourite place for craft beers. Nice layout with lots of seating. Cosy & charming. Friendly staff. Bit pricey but expected. Huge selection of craft beers to cater for any flavor preferences. They also serve pretty good yakitori & appetisers. Great for a date or chilling with friends.

Recommended by my colleague and didn't know that there is hidden bar in subang parade. Really surprised and the environment was good. The food is nice and the beers are many for you to choose. Not that crowded and they have live band singing (bonus). Can hang out again in the near future.

Finger food was actually quite good. Selection of drinks was very wide in variety. The bar was slightly hidden out of sight but was really pleasant discovery. Venue being at Subang Parade was quite unexpected. Great place to unwind!

If you’re a fan of craft beer, this is definitely the right place to go! Good vibes with good service! If you’re not sure which type of craft beer suits you more, you can always seek for advice from the floor crew! Try to make reservation for weekends night to avoid queuing up.

Nice ambience. Food was nice. Their western food kitchen was closed during late afternoon. Only Japanese cuisine was served. Curry Katsu Don was good and the dessert was pretty good too. Their drink was however just so-so. They could have used a sweeter soda water.

Food and drinks 3/5 Service 1/5 Atmosphere 1/5 Ambiance-wise it looks really nice, but once seated, we realised we’re just there to feed mosquitoes. No electric mosquitoes repellent used, the risk of getting dengue is quite high during rainy weather so this really puts us off. Food-wise, it’s the usual fare. They did okay but the wait time is very long even though coming during less crowded time. My friends ordered non-alcoholic drinks and it didn’t taste good. They didn’t let us know about the no stock item and just simply replace. The ⭐️ is only for the wait staff who came to apologise, otherwise 0 stars because no one seem to care about quality of drinks here. Probably just prefer customer to buy beers only from bottle, which we could do also from village grocers. Live band was ok.

A great place to get unique beer to drink. Used to like this place a lot as the ambient is good and it was nice to chat with friends. But now it's getting a bit too popular so it's crowded sometimes and very noisy. A lot of youngsters just go there, buy one beer, and take pictures for hours so it can be quite annoying.

ohhh great. nice open air bar. good selection on beers but price a bit on the high side. love their christmas vibe. staffs are friendly. If really to pick on something, no social distancing being practiced, quite reluctant to enter the beer display window area due to that. But overall great. keep it up.

Nice and cozy place to hang out and have a few beers. They have an insane variety of beers. Each bottle can range between RM 25 to RM 50 if I recall correctly. In terms of food, they mostly had Yakitori skewers. Would have preferred if they had more common bar bites. Generally a very nice place.

Love this place! Fun, small, specialty craft beer bar & shop tucked under large shopping mall. Amazing selection, reasonable prices for crafts & helpful staff. From KL less than 500m from train station! Indoor-outdoor seating. Highly recommend !

Lovely place to hang out. Surprisingly very cooling although it being outdoors. Great range of beer. The sampler set of 4 different draft beer worth trying if you can't decide on which to order. Their yakitori excellent. Definitely one of the nicest coolest most unique bars in the Klang Valley. Price slightly on the higher side.

Love the ambience! We came here at night and the restaurant is well-decorated with Christmas lights. They don't serve main dishes here but there are plenty of yakitori for you to choose, and they are all surprisingly good! The staffs are very attentive and helpful too. Highly recommended for people who are looking for craft beers with yakitori to chill with friends. This is the place!

This place definitely fits the term, beautiful on the outside and inside if such a term exists lol. Had the dunkel bottle beer, but TBH any beer here will be equally great as well. Even if u don’t drink, come & enjoy the yakitori. Of course it is better with beer. But seriously, the bites standard surprised me. I had brinjal, skin, thigh with leek, quail eggs, chicken wing, shishamo, mushroom, smoked duck etc. All r good.

Remember this group back from the 60s & 70s, The Strollers.. they're playing at Mandolin, Friday nights. What a great walk down memory lane. Now that no smoking is allowed in the pub, it's so much nicer & not eye tearing anymore. Mane your way down here!

I am known for my fussiness when it comes to food. Ever since I tried the Mamak Mee Goreng at Mandolin Bar and Restaurant located in Kelana Jaya, it has been my staple diet every time I visit the place. It is only available after 4pm till 10.30pm and remember the magic words when you order... "Pedas dan Basah" (spicy and wet). Worth the money and wait. Simple, tasty and portion is big. #localfood #afterworkdetour #tasty #golocal #syok #MyOpinionThough

I had banana leaf today at Mandolin. Loved it for its spiceness. Frankly, its the best banana leaf I have tasted. The crab rasam was too good, so was the mutton, fried fish masala and sotong varuvel. Kudos to the cook for the execellent dishes.

Varieties of non veg. Very clean, neat and peaceful environment. Probably I can say this is the best south I dian food in kelanajaya. A must try restaurant. If you’re a fan of craft beer then this will be the place for you. Imported craft beer ranging from Asia like Taiwan, Japan to Europe countries like Estonia. The price range from Rm 30+ to Rm 60+. You go to the place, pick your seat, you’ll need to go to the beer fridge to pick your beer and pay at the counter. If you’re on two, the waiters are kind enough to have your table put a reserved sign while both person are away to get a beer. If you not sure about what to get, the staff are kind enough to introduce to you. Just tell them what kind of taste you like and they’ll do recommendation. The seats are limited so you better make a reservation if you’re in a big group.

Nice and cosy place. I'm happy to find these draft beers that I get at Taps Beer Bar, KL.

  • 5/5 Sue T. 2 years ago on Google
A great range of craft beers--bottled, canned or draught. Good service from the staff in introducing the beers, serving the beers and accomodating to customers' needs (we were hungry, kitchen was about to close, they allowed us to sneak in some food). Bottled and canned variety had all sorts of interesting flavours but if you like your beer smoother and lighter, I think the draught is a better choice. What I loved best about the place was the environment (the design and usage of a previously vacant outdoor area of Subang Parade) and the amazing live singer they had there for Deepavali Eve. Her voice was incredible and song choices were great especially the alt rock sessions (I think her name is Qierra if I'm not wrong). Food wise, the yakitori was not bad. I liked the tomatoes with cheese, quail's eggs, squid, shisamo and saba. Some of the other varieties were a hit and miss (sweet potatoes are definitely quite dry and hard). But no mains served so grab a bite before you arrive. Although overall for a beer bar, it's relatively pricey but for its ambiance and set up, it is worth it in my opinion (considering a regular draught is ~RM25 vs a cocktail at any other speakeasy bar can be easily ~RM30-50). My complaint would be for Subang Parade to fix the direct entrance from LG to the bar. It's pretty difficult to find the bar without it. And also for Farmer's Bar to install a few more fans along the edge because the ventilation isn't that great at certain spots.

  • 5/5 Hon Leong T. 2 years ago on Google
They have many many sorts of craft beer for you to select. Best part is they also have draught craft beer for you to select from. Along with the craft beer, you can order yakitori which is absolutely delicious.

I was browsing the web for somewhere hidden place to drink with friends (all the local places are quite inconvenient to park, especially the high traffic area), until I found Farmer’s bar in Subang, surprisingly it’s near my friends place, so I drive with a few mates to drink with. After arriving the venue is quite semi pack, (that’s a good thing for me), I never seen so much beer In a while, I chose their draft beer as a starter, smooth, tremendous isn’t too strong for me to start, because designated driver . After even the food I order was fast,(the reason I chose a less pack restaurant, people need to understand high traffic expect slower service) the chicken cutlet was one of my choosing as it goes to my friends ordering a big breakfast with I quite big, so both of us just share in which I’m still hunger. Nevertheless we ended up going until night time, the beer selection was pricey but never regretted, service was great, cooling and quiet, would come again I forgot to take pictures of the venue but I’ll just show what they have for now, the beer we all try quite nice then the standard ones (no hate still love them) highly recommend the second one got a little hit of honey

Amazing staff to help me decide my drink. Beer tasted great and they even pour it to your glass from the can. Nice environment and will surely go again next time. One beer cost me around RM35 but I believe that's the standard price for craft beer (be your own judge for this)

Good place for beer and some Japanese bbq skewers. Environment is good, the deco very different with other pub at Subang area, but the seats arrangement make your feel not so spacious..service is soso okok.. Not the first time here, this time come for friend's birthday celebrations. Order more foods compared with last visit..the Cheese pasta (forget the super long Italian food name, but the one with the cheese bowl?cheese pot?cheese table??) super good, highly recommended. Octopus, prawns and beef+mushroom skewers nice also, the rest just so so okok..and mostly salty in taste, some too salty. Ya, last time ordered the baby crab nice also.. Price is on the high side, do some calculations before order your skewers (seriously), no one wants the "surprise" when seeing the bill. Beer is nothing special, just beer.
