Review date: April, 2022. Personally I am an alumni of Taylor's College, specifically FIC (Foundation in Computing). Honestly? The education is extremely bad. Lecturers are mostly untrained and lacked experience. The way majority of how they teach is by reading directly from the slides with no effort in attempting to elaborate the materials, and sometimes topics are skipped for idk what reason. One of my former lecturer was literally a recently enrolled part time master's degree student (in terms of qualification, he only had bachelor's essentially), which you can imagine how incompetent he was at teaching us students regarding the module that he was teaching. If you ask any other foundation student from different departments (business, arts, engineering, etc), they will say the exact same thing (topics are for some reason skipped, low effort teaching such as reading from the slides with no elaboration, and etc). IN FACT, if you inspect further the reviews that are available here in Google Reviews, you will notice that I am NOT the only one criticizing regarding their lackluster efforts in educating us! Although it is true that generally every university in Malaysia is similarly as horrible as stated, HOWEVER, for the price you pay in Taylor's, it absolutely DOES NOT justify THIS KIND of quality of education we receive. I and a lot of my other fellow classmates paid around 25,000+ ringgit for ONE YEAR foundation course, and the quality of education we got is equivalent to what we could have gotten if we had went to other cheaper private University in Malaysia. Although they similarly teach somewhat incompetently, at least you're not paying 25K+ ringgit to finish it!!!! Campus life. Campus life is god horrible, especially in 2022. A LOT of shops are closed in Syopz Mall. There are no more Tealive, no more Mamak, no more Apple store, no more old town white coffee, no more bakery, and the whole bottom floor of Syopz Mall is COMPLETELY CLOSED DOWN/BANKRUPTED. Honestly I have no idea how would students in 2022+ are gonna survive with such a limited selection of eateries. You might as well choose Sunway University - as it has a mall connected via canopy walk/bridge and MORE eateries both in AND outside (MORE than 30 hawker stalls!!!) campus - if you prioritize on a good campus life, cause it's literally 1-2km away from Taylor's. I would literally would've chosen to sacrifice the whole lake to create more eateries. The lake literally serves no purpose other than being an eye candy, which again in my opinion, eye candy is useless if I'm dying from hunger. Edit: I have just checked the floor plan of the campus, and there's literally only THREE EATERIES left in syopz mall in the lower ground floors. If you count starbucks, then it's four, but honestly I doubt people usually go starbucks for eating their breakfast/lunch/dinner. Please take note! Also, I've attached the saddened state of syopz mall, in case some of you wish to see photo evidence. Tldr. If you're looking for a private university to enroll into (maybe you're non-bumi or whatever), there are better choices other than Taylor's. I simply CANNOT recommend Taylor's as it's just way too expensive to justify the low quality education that students will be receiving. You have been warned!

Nice cozy place with modern facilities. Qualities of Lectures and teaching depends on your courses. A decent and nice place to study. Many rich kids and overall very expensive uni in Msia, do remember it is a private Uni, not public uni, so money come first before everything, but the courses here are very busy and intense, dont think that ive paid so much of money and i definitely will pass! NO way, You really need to study hard too. Many rich kids having attitude problems and complaining so much after failure. So far, taylor reputation among Malaysians are not bad, no problems to find a job after grad. Taylor, Inti, Sunway, Helps uni are almost the same in my opinion.

I am visiting the university. Outlook is very good. All faculties are available. Got lots of café. But one thing is education quality and tution fees how good I'm not sure about this. Various country's student are studying here. Library, fitness center, hostel all are available. They are saying number one private university in Malaysia! Overall not very bad.

Dear Taylor’s ADP Administration, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out with a humble request, albeit with a sense of disappointment. During my time as a student at Taylor’s ADP, I had the privilege of contributing to various events and projects, including creating a video for the 10th anniversary, as well as sharing my study abroad journey in 15th anniversary even after I’ve graduated from TADP. Unfortunately, I recently experienced a loss of some cherished photos from that time due to a hard drive failure. These photos include event photos that happened between Spring 2015 and Fall 2016 that are not available on TADP page nor ADP Student Family. It has been over a month since I initially tried to reconnect with the college faculty (Dr. Loh, Dr. Anindita, Ms. Sumathi, Ms. Gan) to kindly request copies of those photos, as they hold great sentimental value to me. Regrettably, I have not received any response to my previous attempts, including reaching out to the dean. I had always held the college and its faculty in high regard, and this lack of response has left me feeling somewhat disheartened. I understand that my refusal to join the industry advisor panel last year might have caused some miscommunication, and I genuinely apologize if it was perceived negatively. My intention is simply to preserve these memories and continue to support our alma mater in any way I can. I hope this review can serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining connections with alumni and addressing their concerns. I remain open to resolving this matter amicably and would greatly appreciate any assistance in reaching out to the relevant faculty. Thank you for your understanding and considering my feedback. Sincerely, Danny Chew

Worst uni I ever had and ever will have the misfortune of attending. The management is the absolute worst refusing to pick up calls and being useless when you approach them at the counter in person. At least half the lecturers here are useless and the only reason students still attend these time wasting classes is to get their precious “attendance code” so they don’t get kicked out of uni and so they can forward it on WhatsApp to their friends so others don’t have to waste their time coming to class. I sincerely hope this university goes bankrupt so hardworking parents and students don’t get scammed by giving their money to these lazy, incompetent and useless people.

Most expensive university in Malaysia, which is focused on sucking as much money as possible from you. During MCO, there's no 'mercy' for either of your physical sickness or mental illness, they just talking on the paper saying that 'oh I will reduce some toughness in your cases' and just putting an 'F' on your work eventually. Lecturer didn't teach us much. Some of the students are even facing some sort of ' FAVOURTISM' issues during their classes, there's no fair and thoughtless from lecturer, and the head of the school was rejecting to review our complaints at all. There's no 'free charges' on the amount of total fees that including ' facilities charges' which you need to pay for the facilities even you're not going to university for almost 1 and a half year during MCO ! I highly regret studying there.

Admissions highly unprofessional. I wasted 2 years of my daughters academic life joining her in Taylor’s. Please be careful. It’s also sad that they didn’t even reimburse the money I paid for 2 years. Unprofessional institution. Stay away from them.

a huge mistake, for any prospective students considering this college, look somewhere else, for A levels they publish 100% pass rate but less than a third of my cohort is graduating without retaining? this marketing gimmick is out of hand, the corruption here is a good as the US universities that pay for their ranking!! don't be surprised if most of your schoolmates defer or in other words, fail to graduate how rampant organised crime and drugs are was a huge shock, when u come to taylors, u will meet a lot of pretentious people around so be careful, there are great people here and everywhere else, but the concentration of people that you have to be weary about here is alot higher than the rest of msia

The foundation level lecturers are rather untrained and some are unprofessional when it comes to their work. Topics are skipped and some lecturers will answer you as if to just get you out of their way. The price is not cheap but the quality of education here is really poor. Do thorough research when enrolling into this school. FIE is a definet no go. Something that they would tell you is that there would be no reduction in fees as there is a superior online learning platform. It is no different from other universities and all in all is just an excuse to take all your money. Edit : just when I thought this place could not get any worst, they decided that it was a great idea to change the requirements for a 10 week long project 1 week before the due date, I would give this place negative stars if I could, but if you want to go to FIE in Taylors, its better off if you just threw 25k into the river than come here. STAY AWAY.

I didnt want to write this kind of review on my own almamater, but this is getting out of hand. The campus is great with a lot of facilities, did not get any problem throughout my study here, everything was great... until Their refund team in the international office keep avoiding to REFUND MY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SECURITY DEPOSIT which is above RM3k. I did 2 different programs here in Taylors, and the first one was in 2019. Funnily enough, I didnt get my deposit back for that program because I didnt ask them about this, as I wasnt aware of this deposit refund thing. I have graduated for 3months now (from the second program) and 4 YEARS from the first program yet they still have not given me the refund. Good job, Taylors. Truly disappointed.

One of my friends tried to register his daughter for MBBS, which is extremely expensive, the student is having exceptional results and financially can afford but her only weakness her English proficiency which will require some courses (which clearly communicated with the admission "the student has poor English) but guess what?! They invited her for online interview! Then something unexpected happened! guess what again?! she failed because she has poor English!!! 🤷‍♂️😂 Taylor's logic! An average smart person would advise them to make conditional offer with two conditions: to score high IELTS grade and to pass face-to-face interview! Then upon completion her English program then she can attend the interview and only by then the faculty can factually assess her talent and whether she is fit for the program! Does that need high IQ? Really funny university!!

Well, I’ve read through the review section. Def not far from reality. I won’t say this campus is the best or the worst. It’s business. It seems that the campus are excel in advertising. Regardless the fees or management, students are still interested because of their flattering facilities, clubs, and frequent festivals/events. And also, Taylor’s are seen as a campus for rich families. Because they ARE targeting the privileged families. The lecturers are much more experienced and from not-bad career backgrounds compared to many other private universities, but the concept is similar anyways. Assignments and quizzes with more fancy features. I believe that all private university campuses are interested in profit so I see it as the typical economy situation. What I was upset about, is how low the academic requirements were for student enrollment. If you can afford it, anyone is accepted. It was embarrassing for the students to discuss among themselves, unable to understand what the lecturer is talking about in class. Bewildered, the lecturer said in the first day of the first semester. He said something similar to this, “You’re studying a degree now, and you won’t receive language lessons anymore. You were supposed to be able to understand simple English before enrolling into this degree. You would need to write and speak English in every class here. What are you doing.” He said it really gently, but still. Full of sarcasm. For my first day of university, certainly, very memorable. Extra: Please stock more chocolates to the vending machines thank u!

Hi. The worst university I've ever seen. This university is the most disappointing one I've encountered, as it shows a complete lack of concern for its student's future. The quality of teaching is very poor. I strongly advise dont waste your time and money in this university.

Disappointed with the staffs attitude in arranging student's admission. I was attended by a counsellor who arrange my admission for masters. Apparently there's couple issue with my portal and when I seek for this person (counsellor) advice, I received unprofessional attitude saying I would need to solve it on my own with the IT desk. 2ndly, this person kept mistaken my application with another student even though we had the conversation history over whatsapp. I have to repeatedly highlight the issue I faced for few times which got me frustrated. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

I did a paid job for Taylor's and they never paid me. The lecturer I was working alongside ended up paying me personally from his own pocket, because I went 5 months without a single cent. Just goes to show how stingy they honestly are. And I'm a student, living away from home, I depended on that money. Taylor's cant even pay their students for doing small jobs on campus then how do they pay their lecturers? No wonder they're leaving and dropping like flies. The best lecturer I ever had at Taylor's, left because of the way they treated him. Taylor's only cares about their ranking and making money, they don't care about their student or their own staff.

Some of the staff are the worst to deal with. Their explanations are off the mark and they are bossy. They don't apologize for their mis directions. As for the teachers, it seems that some of them are incompetent and only read textbooks. While we were discussing the situation of the low quarity teacher with the principal and asking him to improve the situation, he suddenly resigned. The problem is still thrown out. They say that they are ranked first in private universities in Southeast Asia, but I don't believe it at all !

The lecturers in the university tend to be very racist and the students as well. If you find yourself in a class with a good number of Chinese students expect to experience a lot of segregation as they will not even say a word to you. For the tuition fee that they charge I would expect more. The title number 1 University is from the hard work of the students cause the lecturers are not that good you’ll get one or two good lectures in a year and they are usually over worked and so they can not pay attention to small group of students. Lastly their facilities are not good. Very poor gym. If you’re a black African student I would recommend APU or Sunway but don’t waste ur money coming to this uni.

Well to be honest, the Lake looks like a beauty or is what attracts you to join but once you started studying here for a few months you really wish the lake didn't exist or that there's a bridge connecting the two blocks right in the middle of the lake. Anyhow, this uni is a good place to develop leaderships skills. A lot of clubs in this uni offer such development programmes but if you're looking for sports. There's much of a disappointment here.

I used to go to university here in Taylor’s back in 2016, back then there weren’t as many hot girls. I pray for everyone who goes to uni now because the number of hot girls have increased I believe the university only takes in hot girls now because every single girl in the university is bloody hot as hell.

READ BEFORE ENROLLING: READ BEFORE ENROLLING: READ BEFORE ENROLLING: Contents: (C1-C4) Chapter 1 ..................................... Bad Timetable and Schedulings Chapter 2 ..................................... Bad exam timetables and rules Chapter 3 ..................................... TLDR Chapter 4 ..................................... Conclusion This school is one of the most expensive and most sly universities out there, their management is literally the worst I have seen. There is no exact date on when exam results come out, there is only an approximate guess on the timeframe (which is huge, and means you can't plan any holidays ahead of time because their scheduling is bad). And if you fail an exam and have to resit the exam, they give you less than 1 week of time after the release of results to study for an exam that you literally were just notified that you failed just 1 week ago, like bro how do you expect someone who failed an exam to pass the exam again if you give them just 1 week to study for it? This university is very smart and sly on how they squeeze every penny off their students. Not to mention, the lecturers read from the slides and never teach, they bombard their students with coursework just before their exams and their coursework deadlines are also strategically placed to make sure that you don't have enough time to study for your exams, which also means that they can earn more money when you inevitably fail and have to retake the exam. Secondly, this school's so-called Lecture Recording system is basically just a CCTV placed inside your lecture hall that records the teachers, and the audio quality and video quality are very blurry and basically unusable for doing study revision. Students are constantly on edge and have to worry about exams constantly, praying to God everyday so that the management system doesn't pull them under the water and try to scam their money again. TLDR; they have mediocre lecturers, bad management system, bad exam schedules, expensive school fees and impossible to pass courses where the study timeline is specifically made against you to make you fail. They will make sure your school life is as miserable as possible if it means that they can earn extra money from you. This school is one of the most expensive schools out there, yet their students are being treated like fools. I have been to government schools that have better management systems than Taylors which is always boasting that they are "Top In The World" and one of the most "prestigious schools in South East Asia", yet they fail to deliver every, single, time. One thing I can say, this school is very very very smart when it comes to sucking the students dry of their money, this school is not a place to learn, it's a place to trade your money, time and soul for a useless certificate to make you feel like you've achieved something in life. If you care about your wellbeing and don't want to feel suicidal every day of the week, then make the smart decision.

I would not recommend you to join this university, especially if you are not a mandarin-speaking person. In my undergraduate course, it is overpopulated with chinese mainlanders who do NOT know how to speak A TINY BIT of english and had to use translator app during lecture. And some of them are also very disrespectful. We non-mandarin speakers often sit alone in class. Don't get me started on my experience of doing my assignment with them. Does taylor's not have a special english assessment for students coming in from China?? Or anywhere else in the world? I thought Taylor's University is the so-called 'best' private uni in Malaysia??? Hello??? If that is the case, Taylor's have yet to reach the number 1 spot.
