Summary:
Great
pizza
and
an
eclectic
small
dishes
menu
means
Stretch
is
a
pizza
experience
unlike
any
other.
The
wine
list
is
interesting
(though
wine
by
glass
is
steep),
and
they
have
real
bartenders
making
real
cocktails.
Definitely
worth
a
visit
Located
on
the
2nd
floor
on
an
otherwise
nondescript
shoplot
block
around
Sunway,
Stretch
is
a
cocktail
bar
that
happens
to
make
probably
the
best
pizza
in
Subang,
and
on
the
top
10
list
in
all
of
KL.
Inside,
it
has
quite
odd
blue
and
pink
neon
lighting
and
tight
seating
with
a
large
bar
dominating
the
layout.
The
service
is
relaxed
and
attentive,
and
I
love
that
alcohol
(wine
bottles
and
cocktail
posters)
make
up
a
major
part
of
Stretch's
decor.
The
small
plates
are
very
local
-
we
had
a
VERY
sour
Hinava
(like
a
Sabahan
ceviche)
and
a
cincalok
baby
spinach
dish
served
with
garlic
pizza
dough
slices.
The
Hinava
was
almost
inedible
for
my
partner
(too
sour
and
too
spicy),
but
the
green
mango/bitter
gourd/mackerel
combination
was
novel
to
me
and
perhaps
because
of
that,
appealing.
I
do
wonder
why
they
say
the
fish
is
kohada
though,
when
I'm
pretty
sure
it
was
mackerel.
The
baby
spinach
dish
was
on
the
salty
side
(heavy
on
the
cincalok),
but
perfect
with
the
garlic
dough
slices
(tasted
a
lot
like
garlic
naan).
The
Margherita
pizza
surprised
me!
Not
just
because
the
excellent
buffalo
mozzarella
and
chunky
tomato
sauce,
but
because
they
went
with
a
quite
distinctive
style
for
the
dough.
Super
thin
base
that's
soggy
from
the
tomato
and
cheese
a
la
pizza
napolitana,
but
with
a
semi-cooked
crust
(outer
ring),
so
that
it's
still
just
a
bit
chewy
and
gluten-y.
It
doesn't
taste
doughy
or
undercooked
so
I
believe
this
is
a
stylistic
choice
rather
than
any
misjudgment
in
cooking
time.
I
prefer
my
crust
more
cooked,
but
my
partner
loved
it,
so
I
leave
it
to
you
to
decide.
Either
way,
the
pie
is
unquestionably
excellent,
and
an
authentic
pizza
any
way
you
define
it.
The
cheese/tomato/crust
work
perfectly
together,
and
none
outshine
any
other.
A
pizza
you'd
travel
to
eat.
I
was
very
conflicted
on
this
review.
I
find
the
vibe
of
the
restaurant
a
bit
odd,
and
the
appetizers
are
completely
mismatched
with
the
quite
traditional
pizzas.
Further,
as
we
traveled
a
bit
far
to
try
it,
we
couldn't
try
any
cocktails
(which
looked
very
good).
That
said,
I
did
really
enjoy
the
pie,
and
in
a
different
way,
the
small
plates,
so
I
think
I
have
no
choice
but
to
give
it
a
5.
