The crowd is back! We took 30 minutes to queue and 20 minutes to consume our food. The dim sums are fresh and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the wait! And i tapao the famous Portuguese egg tarts and frozen dim sums home too!

Foo Hing Dim Sum originally started in Puchong and their dim sum is very popular. Business is so good that they have expanded to Taipan USJ. Their set-up in their Taipan outlet is very nice and reminiscent of a hotel restaurant where diners get to enjoy their meals in a cooling and appealing dining environment. Foo Hing Dim Sum offers a wide selection of food and their quality and varieties are excellent. There are the usual dim sum fare and pastries like their signature Portuguese tarts are very well received. Weekend crowds can be quite packed and go early to avoid a long queue. Biz hours are from 7am-3pm. Parking is quite convenient during weekends but weekdays parking can be a challenge.

🇲🇾 Visited on 24/11/2023 Friday cooling morning 🌅. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience. 🏎️ After a good 3hrs race from Singapore to Malaysia 🇲🇾 KL, Puchong we finally arrived at this dim sum restoran. Google map lead us to this restaurant just 30mins past opening hour from 7am. This is our first visit to this location in KL. We been to the nearby mall during our last trip in October. Not much to see basically it's a very neighborhood mall and alot of shop are closed. We were guided to our table of 3, and the restaurant was half occupied on a Friday weekday morning. Browse thru the menu and pick some of the food choice we would like to try. Order 2 cuppa of chiam (coffee mixed with tea) Shortly after our drinks was served. 2 cuppa of hot chiam. Presentation was really appealing with the foamy cap on top served in traditional coffee ☕. First taste the smell was aromatic but I find it too sweet to my liking. Overall still a nice cuppa of chiam and I ordered a second cup and request for less sweet. ✌️ Now our good was served, mini egg tart, siew mai, crispy bean curd skin with prawn 🍤 paste, char siew bolo bun, fish mai, fried carrot cake, siew mai with scallops and dry oyster siew mai. Most of the dishes are nice and fresh but I only find the char siew bolo bun a little too sweet for my liking and the siew mai with scallops is just meh 😕. The rest of the dishes past my taste standard. I would say this is a good dim sum restaurant to try when you in the area. Worth losing my sleep 😴 just to give you a try. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for you! #FooHing #DimSum #Puchong #Kl

Taste: 4/5 Portion: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Decent dimsum but I'd say limited in choices. A dozen steamed selection, another dozen fried ones. There's always a queue and crowd. Takes about 20-30 minutes to get a seat unless you get lucky and spot a table along the corridor.

Foo Hing Dim Sum is one of the good one in town, most of their dim sum are made by their own. It is always crowded during Weekend. Need to queue for a while. We tried their fried and steam dim sum, we like most of it. The red chili wantan and lion head dim sum doesn't taste like the one in China. Overall, The Portuguese egg tart is must try. The service here is fast and the place is clean and tidy. The only problem here is to find a parking.

Subang branch of One of the best dimsum in klang valley. Indoor aircond seating with few outdoor seating available. Very good service, crowded as usual, so please come at non crowd session if you dont like to wait. Everything is super good, from siu mai to lo mai kai to porridge. But the top highlight is the Portuguese tart. Buttery, crunchy layered crust, and the egg filling is smooth and soft. One is never enough. Did i say their service is top notch? The only downside is the wait, so again, come at non peak time. Its a bit pricy but it worth every value.

Came on weekdays. Alot of people but not too crowded. wide varieties of Dim sum. All taste good and delicious. They do not accept booking, walk in only. Normally huge crowd on weekends and need to queue.

Best dimsum in KL. They’re always packed with huge crowd especially weekend morning, but definitely worth queueing for. Foods are fresh and Portuguese egg tarts are just out of the world, especially when they were served hot. Flaky pastry with the silky egg custard, just can’t get enough. Downside: Pricey 😅

Came here because someone recommended this place, and my opinion is , this place is pretty solid , there are something I like and some that I don’t, their har gao ( prawn dumpling) were great , and other classic dim sum were pretty solid also , but I didn’t like the chicken feet and braised pork, and also although their tart crust was amazing, but disappointing the filling were way too sweet. To be reminded that if there always were a queue for sits inside the restaurant but you can sit without waiting if you decided to sit outdoors

Well ventilated and clean. Service is prompt. What's good: BBQ pork and meat floss bun, fluffy egg Tart, prawn bean curd roll. What to avoid: abalone dumpling and Chee Cheong Fun (the wrap is too thick, only the prawn is big and succulent). The rest is just average.

Very good Dim Sum quality and variety- got to take-out as there is always long queue for dining in on weekends! Price range from RM6.50 to 9.50 for each basket. Service is organised and efficient.

Foo Hing Dim Sum is famous for Portugese Tart & finally I earned a chance to taste it today. Don't over expect those servings but I would just comment not a bad choice. Greatly impressed with their customer service. Very attentive. I'm someone who is visibly not fit to sit on their round chair & the staff there offered me one which give me a sense of comfort. #FooHingDimSumTaipan

Came here on an early Sunday morning 8:30am and it was a full house already. By the time it was 9:00am, the queue outside was reaching 20 parties. The food was just warm, some was even cold. Prefer then to be served really hot instead.

Quality dim sum! We enjoyed it very much. The passable dish is the yam with charsiu (wu kok). The best thing we ordered was something to do with a bamboo wrap. I drank that little soup in the small dish. Will be back.

Many attempts but always find it too long a queue. Finally we managed to have breakfast dim sum on a early saturday morning . Took a queue number, call in to sit after 20 minutes wait. Once seated, the waiters are very fast, all came with their trays to serve. There are food items that need to be ordered on the menu chit..once we did that, the waiters seem not to pay attention until i have to call . The char siew pao is good, lots of meat filling. They do not serve hot coffee but do have iced coffee. This Restaurant only allows their customers to dine for 40mins, thus its not a suitable for business or entertaining venue !! We still prefer a Dim Sum place where we could sip our tea and enjoy our food with some peace of mind and not being rushed !!! Thus in the end ,we rather have some takeaway to have a better meal at home !!

Good food is subjective but most would agree the food here is good. Price wise, I would say, you get what you paid for. No complaints on the standard dim sum dishes. You should try their more special offerings, some are only available for lunch, like the asam petai seafood rice. Always busy, even on weekdays.

Food [3.5/5] 1) A3. Shang Hai “Xiao Long Bao” (2/5) While the fillings of the Xiao Long Bao were decent, the skin was too thick, and the ginger and vinegar provided did not enhance the taste. In fact, it made the dish taste worse. I would consider trying a more premium brand like Din Tai Fung at a similar price point. However, my partner enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao. 2) A9. Steamed “Siew Mai” (3/5) The Siew Mai was average, but the price was overly high. 3) A34. Egg Porridge (3/5) The porridge was average, with a thick texture, and the Youtiao was hard. 4) A38. Portuguese Egg Tart (4.25/5) The Portuguese Egg Tart is a must-try, with a fragrant and well-caramelized filling, and a crumbly crust that complements it perfectly. 5) A39. Prawn “Cheong Fun” (3.75/5) The Cheong Fun was soft and smooth, and the sauce had just the right amount of saltiness and umami taste. However, the prawn flavor was too strong and didn't complement the Cheong Fun and sauce very well. I would prefer a plain Cheong Fun instead. 6) A49. Fried Shrimps Rolls (3.5/5) It's quite nice, and worth a try. 7) A50. Fried Salad Prawns (3.5/5) It's quite nice, and worth a try. 8) A51. Fried Crispy Yam (3.5/5) The dish has a mild yam fragrance, and the filling is very flavorful. It's definitely worth a try! 9) Special-E. Mixed Egg Roll (4/5) It's a must-try! Service 3.5/5 The service was slightly too extreme, with staff quickly clearing plates once we finished one, was uncomfortable. Furthermore, asking 5-6 people to clean up a table was excessive where during the table cleaning the aggressive plate tossing into the bin was also uncomfortable and interrupting. Ambience 4.25/5 I visited on a normal Friday at 10 a.m., and although there was no queue, the shop was quite crowded and almost full. The environment was fairly comfortable, but it could have been better if all the chairs were cushioned. Value 2/5 RM 30+ per pax

Good dim sum with reasonable price. Service was fast and the dim sum served was fresh and hot. Must come on weekdays and non peak hours to enjoy the dim sum. Hard to find parking but there is a multi level parking lot available nearby.

Never ending queue... But service was very fast and efficient. Limited parking available during peak hours. Food served was steaming hot and fried items were crispy. One of the better dim sum I have tried in Malaysia. Fried carrot cake definitely have the wok hei... Should try. Egg tart is as good as the Oriental tarts but a little sweeter..

Foo Hing should not need any introduction at this point. But in case this is your first time, here is a summary: > One of the best value dimsums in KL (some 5* hotels will have better food, but the prices will be significantly higher) > Portuguese egg tarts are superb, haven't found any better > Go for the siew mai, porridge, kuih kak > Would personally skip the char siew bao, lor mai gai and siew bao > Although the staff are mostly Chinese, non-chinese speakers can still dine comfortably > Queue system is in place to manage the lines, which will be there most days/time. The smaller your party, the lower the waiting time (2-3 pax is optimal)

The staffs here are very kind and very good service. I came with 2 old folks and they quickly arrange a table with chairs with backrest for them (instead of stools. Dim Sum is high quality. Steam and fried are both good. They have special for the day : Lychee Prawn. There’s one special roll with oyster and it’s very tasty.

A popular place for dim sum among locals. Service was welcoming, and we didn't have to wait for a table. Going with the flow, we ordered our Chinese tea, and set to figuring out what the order form (printed in Chinese) for steamed items meant. Fortunately, the numbers corresponded with pictured items in the printed menu - nobody asked if it was our first time and needed help. Among the items we ordered, only the steamed charziu bao, and Portuguese egg tarts were noteworthy. The har-gao had overly starchy filling, siew-mai filling was too firm, beancurd roll was filled with seemed like over-firm fish paste. The yam dumpling had a nice crunchy crust but overly sweet filling, and the fried radish cake was ok. All in, the presentation was good, but food could have been better.

Clean and airconed Dim Sum Restaurants, staffs very attentive and friendly, price is reasonable in Subang, food is good, car park is orange zone (2 hours zone)and hard to one find actually. Ipoh people used to tell me "don't try this Dim Sum Restaurants, try that Restaurants..." but for me, 明阁also nice,富兴also nice, 大树下also nice...love all the Dim Sum Restaurants in Ipoh and this Subang Taipan outlet not bad too.. recommended. Enjoy every items here (but not the fried fish skin, not that saying it taste bad, just it taste like children snack instead of Dim Sum.). Xiao Long Bao of course Din Tai Fung taste better, the rest is good though..flavourful and not over salty. The Jü Chong Fan is awesome. Sharing table with an old couple this time, very polite and chill, people here quite nice...love this place.

Best dim sum in KL. Although many people but the turn over is very fast. Waiters are very efficient in cleaning up a table for next customer. The food is delicious and you can get special dim sum that other dim sum place will not have it. Must order dishes: lychee prawn ball and fried carrot cake. 😍

Overall not bad. Very clean and comfortable place for dim sum. But in terms of taste, would prefer the other dim sum place in USJ 21. But it could be just my personal preference.

  • 4/5 Aaron G. 1 year ago on Google
One of a few good dim sum places around the USJ area. The dim sum taste is just fine, but the highlight for me is definitely the portuguese egg tart which is very good.

Foo Hing is like one of the go to places for dim sum for KL people. We were there on a weekday and it was packed. Food was reasonable, not too bad taste wise, but not all dishes were good. The har gow and some fish cake thing was a let down. The congee was luke warn and not hot enough. The egg tarts were pretty decent. Ambience was really good, just like what you'd expect of a typical dim sum restaurant. Parking wasn't difficult. Your willingness to walk a little more will make parking lesser of a hassle. Price for this place is alright I guess, not cheap but also not expensive. Also depends on what you order. Any time if you fancy to wallop some dim sum, this place should be worth considering.

Foo Hin Dim Sum offers a delightful experience for dim sum enthusiasts. The warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for an enjoyable meal. Despite the slightly higher prices, the quality and variety make it a worthwhile treat. Recommended for dim sum lovers seeking a vibrant dining experience.

We prefer going to popular dim sum eateries during the late lunch hours to avoid queueing or waiting for tables. First time here and it's not much difference with the Puchong branch quality wise. The steamed dim sums are all fresh so we enjoy them. Surprisingly, the coffee and cham ice are quite nice too!

Good place for dim sum but wasn't as nice as I recalled it to be a couple years ago (before MCO). The deep fried dimsums were definitely good though.

I ordered siew mai, har gao, fish cake, lo mai kai, char siew pau, chee cheong fun, and Portuguese tart. The dim sum was satisfactory and service was fast and good. The bill came to RM48.25 for one person.

One of my favourites places! The food has been consistent in terms of portion and taste. Try to come on weekdays to avoid very long queues on the weekends for indoor tables. Parking spots are hard to find though so make sure you factor extra time to hunt!

Came here for breakfast on a weekday in Taipan Subang Jaya. As we were early, the crowd has not buildup yet, so was shown to our table immediately. The service was professional and the place is clean. They have a large variety of dim sum, some of which are rather unique, as well as double boiled soup. The highlight was the double boiled soup we had to round off the breakfast. Would love to try more variety, unfortunately there was only 2 of us. Must come again with more friends so can try more varieties.

  • 5/5 Glen L. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious dimsum, not that much varieties though but its enough. The place is big but so many customers, there are waiting lists, during my visit it was pretty fast only a 10 minute-ish wait for a 3 waiting list. They mainly speak mandarin especially with the menu but they do speak some English, so you need to ask it first. For atmosphere it was the ususal Chinese Restaurant, pretty loud with all of the shouting but its as expected so no complaints
