This place is metal AF. The barman will chat to you about rock and metal and if he has your favourite song he'll play it. You can watch the live concert versions of many classic bands. They have their own cocktails such as "Raining Blood" and "Pink Spider" as well as many spirit and liqueur ones, including "Lemmy" which is whiskey based. They do serve food but it's more like bar snacks. Google will put you on the opposite side of the building. It's on the 2nd floor along with a place called Singles. You'll have to look at the building signs from the street. So if in doubt look up!

There exist many great bars all throughout Japan. But metal bars? Not so much and this one takes the cake! Fu-ki who runs the place is an outstanding host and as previous reviewers have already mentioned, he speaks english to some extent which I don't expect from people in a country where English is not an official language but it still is nice to be able to chat a little. The home made drink-recipes, which are named after various metal songs, are fun to try and really enjoyable too (which is, of course, a matter of taste). The interior is thoroughly fitted in an appropriate fashion with various props and a couple of screens where music videos are played most of the time. The bar is located on the 2nd floor of a fairly non-descript building - look at the signs outside of the building and don't get confused once you find yourself in front of an elevator. Use Google Maps too! Everytime we came here, we really enjoyed ourselves, learned about new, japanese Bands or got show recommendations for local bands which made for some great memories. We will most definitely be back!

Awesome place! very atmospheric, even the toilet is decorated. The barman is super nice and speaks a very good english, he asked us which bands liked and suddenly started playing music from the ones we mentioned. Highly recommended place if you like metal!

Super nice owner who'll question you about your favorite bands to play them in his bar if he can! He can speak english to some extent and Will do his best to make you feel great in his small bar! Loved the atmosphere

Not easy to find, but definitely worth a visit if you like heavy metal. Keep your eyes close to the ground, there is a small black sign next to a relatively uninviting entrance, then take the lift to the 2nd floor,

Such a great small bar. Friendly bar staff. Spoke English very well and I had a great chat with a husband and wife couple next to me who had very little English but we got through on the love of metal lyrics🤘. Had so much fun here I didn't Want to go.

A little hard to find at first but definitely worth looking out for! Nice and cozy little bar with lots of metal inspired decor. As I ordered my first beer, a song from a band whose shirt I wore came up. The owner noticed and silently put it into the playlist, which was a very cool surprise to me! Overall he was super nice and attentive, as he put songs from bands into the playlist my wife and I mentioned while speaking to another couple which we just met and had smalltalk with. I can definitely recommend this place and will keep Midian (and the tomato juice beer, lol :D) in best memories!

I was here 7 years ago and I recently came back a few weeks ago. I was so happy that the owner and his wife were still as happy and welcoming as I had remebered. This bar is one of the reasons I came back to Osaka. It's a place where everyone gathers to enjoy beer and metal music, both Japanese people and gaijins. A must go for any rock fan in Osaka! 私を歓迎してくれてありがとう!

Fantastic bar with super friendly staff who allow you to request songs! It might be smaller than expected but that just makes it that much cozier (and very typical of Japan)! If you’re an introvert you’ll love going and meeting and talking to lots of cool people! The decor is especially cool!

Fun bar to attend. Even if not crowded on the weekdays, the bartender is awesome and you can talk metal all night with him. And leave with new amazing music for your playlist:) highly recommend for metal lovers

A cool place to meet with other rock and metal fans from around the world. I had a fun time chatting with the owner and other patrons. The bar is stocked well, offers a few custom cocktails, and the decor of the place is amazing.

Awesome metal bar! Went there with my husband last night, great bartender (let us request lots of songs) and the drinks were a good price too. If you like metal then this is is the place to be in Osaka!!

The owner was very nice and was able to speak to us in english. Drinks are not expensive. Metal music played in the background. Anyone is able to request a song. You can also request heavier stuff (tech-death metal). I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely come back next time I'm in japan.
