A small 16-seater restaurant. One cook and two servers. It was full house when we were there. We highly recommend to order the “guitar style” pasta. They will make the pasta in front of you before cooking. Everything was fresh! And the portions are relatively small, so you could try a variety of different pastas! Will definitely go back again! Thank you!

5 star experience from beginning to end. Very cute and quaint family run Italian restaurant with exceptional food. We had a hard time making a reservation over the phone as we do not speak Japanese so we decided to head on over in person. Definitely make a reservation-it's a small restaurant and they fill up fast! The handmade pastas are excellent. Father/chef even made the mandonline himself with piano strings as he could not find one that sliced thinly enough (1.2mm). Everything was so fresh and delicious. Tiramisu to die for. The prices were very reasonable. We had a salad, 3 pastas, veal, dessert and 2 glasses of wine for about $110. Just kept ordering more because we wanted to try everything! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Osaka.

Found this restaurant when looking through food blogs — people raved about the pasta in this family owned restaurant. I messaged the restaurant through Facebook a month before we were in Japan, and they were happy to confirm our reservation. The restaurant is located in the Kita distract (newly relocated), and not very central to the tourists areas in Osaka, but we took a cab and upon our arrival, the server excitedly welcomed us into the restaurant as he had been at the window waiting for us. The restaurant is small, with only 5 or 6 tables, and is super cozy and warm. Chatting with our server, we learned that his father had trained and lived in Rome, Italy earlier in his life. His mom and him ran the front of house, while his father made and cooked all the fresh pastas. For one of our dishes, the server showed us a pasta board and explained that his father had designed it himself in order to create thinner strips of pasta. He then demonstrated and made our pasta table side, which was then used the most delicious squid ink cuttlefish pasta! We also ordered the egg carbonara, as well as the pesto pasta which was created with cute little stamps. We finished dinner with a chocolate ganache that was decadent without being too sweet. We absolutely loved our experience here, and loved seeing the heart and passion that is behind this family-run business. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a break from traditional Japanese cuisine, and opt for some authentic Italian pastas made with soul.

The host comes to make the fresh pasta for you which is always so fun. This place has AMAZING fresh pasta. The flavor is so delicate and thorough. I cannot believe the level of this pasta at this place. We went two days in a row! I wanted to bring the chef with me to Tokyo 🙁. My favorite is the pesto and the spicy arabiatta! Don’t forget to get the tiramisu because it’s a work of art.

Visiting from Melbourne where we have great Italian food. The food here took me by surprise. Absolutely incredible handmade pasta which is cut with an apparatus handbuilt by the chef. Amazing.

The food was good seemed like Italian food for Japanese people. Taste healthy. I like the tiramisu they’re melted on my mouth. You need to reservation coming here, even tho you don’t reservation and still have a seat they’re welcoming you

A delicious Italian restaurant. - The place is small so I highly recommend that you make a reservation. - I enjoyed that the waiter prepare the pasta in front of you. -The pasta was great. - Tiramisu and espresso was also nice. A solid choice in my opinion.

Great restaurant with handmade pasta. The guitar pasta as they call it (likely linguine) was made at the table. Very nice touch. Can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Absolutely delightful. The restaurant is tiny (5 tables). The pasta is delicious, and the service is heartwarming. The pasta is fresh and seasonal items come with a special presentation at your table. Lovely experience. A must visit if you're in the area.

The best handmade authentic pasta! We were able to make a reservation the same day, it is a small intimate restaurant. The food was delicious, one of the best I’ve had. The chef and waiter were the sweetest, took their time to understand and share their menu. Absolutely recommend it!!! It’s a must try in Osaka.

Such a lovely experience dining here, we managed to secure the last table as a family of 4. This family run restaurant is so cosy with amazing food and service. We had a lovely demonstration of how the pasta is made, and the kids really enjoyed seeing that. The pastas are handmade and so fresh, the sauce is delicious (we had prawn pasta and carbonara), and the tiramisu is the best I have eaten. Will definitely want to return if I’m back in Osaka!

In the Japanese mentality of “do one thing and do it well”, we found a tiny little Italian restaurant down the street from our hotel. Family owned, the dad built his own handmade pasta machine for the “guitar” pasta. It was one of the best dishes I have had … just order the pasta with shrimp sauce and the tagliatelle. The desserts are also really good.

Super awesome meal - 4 of us kids devoured a hand made pasta each - carbonara, tomato ragu, prawns. Best tomatoes ever in salad. Tira misu, chocolate cheesecake and vanilla gelato for dessert. Parents loved the wine list

Hands down one of the BEST Italian restaurants I’ve had in Japan, if not anywhere, outside Italy! This place and the family have a level of pride in each plate that is evident from the moment we sat down. The Caprese salad is heaven! The device used to make the noodles in front of us and the final product were stellar. I wish I had more time in Osaka so I could come back again, and again!

Best Italian cooking since Italy. So simple, so made with care from a family-run restaurant. So, so delicious. Came for an early dinner with kids and service was gracious, every dish from the caprese salad to the wide range of handmade pastas to the meats and the desserts, there were no misses. The love and pride was evident in every dish. Need to call and reserve (in Japanese). Get a friend/hotel’s help, it’s so worth it.

Very tasty Italian. My wife and I went there for dinner. Cozy and quiet with seats for 16 people maximum. Well worth the money. 4 drinks, 2 pasta dishes, 2 appetizers came below 10,000 yen. The chocolate mascarpone cheese cake is worth trying. Really rich, dense chocolate flavor. The coined pasta with pesto sauce had a great texture and good portion. Waiting was nothing. We were in and out in an hour or so without a rush.

This restaurant has become my only favorite pasta shop. I used to only love uni pasta but after trying their pasta, pastas can be incredibly delicious and it’s way more beyond that I can ever think of. My favorite was the mushroom one and my boyfriend liked the shrimp one instead. I’d say they were all delicious.

This was the best pasta meal I have ever had. I shared 5 plates of pasta and a tiramisu with my girlfriend, and all the dishes were fantastic. For every dish, they got the dough and tools out in front of us and made it fresh right there. It was a really fun experience! For the 5th dish the chef made us his secret recipe even, that wasn't on the menu! A special pasta invention of his own, and it was awesome. My highest recommendations for pasta lovers.

👍👍 Go to the basement floor which has all kinds of food stalls and specialty stores. Go there an hour before closing and most of the packaged food items will be discounted like 30% or Y300 off. It’s great deal for budget travel. They also have very good yogurt drinks and other bakery items.

👍👍 An amazing dinning experience available in different locations throughout Japan, but we enjoyed ours most in Osaka. Quick and tasty, but take your time enjoying the savory cuts you get to cook to your own delight at your table. Very friendly and efficient staff. Some waiting likely during dinning...
