The rooms and overall decor is outdated and does need updating, but it was clean. The service was good and the rooms were clean! No sign of bugs of any kind. The swimming pool was useable but in grave need of repairs and updates. There is a restaurant on site and appears to be fairly busy but we never visited it!

so my take on this place. It cost me $80 for the night, taxes in. Pretty hard to find a room for that little. A positive for some people is there is no damage deposit so you don't have to wait to get that money back. Super dated. Front desk closed at 1am. I'm guessing this is likely due to chronic understaffing plaguing every business at the moment. I had to pull the bed out to get access to a plug in, there were none accessible near the bed. But also very few of them in the entire room. The one beside the microwave and coffee maker had a burn mark😬 There was a random dripping sound in the bathroom that was the sink dripping into the garbage can. I couldn't see the garbage at first but that's likely why, it was pushed back for that reason. The ceiling in the bathroom was heavy patched but surprisingly firm(I expected it to be soft) The lock latch was broken off to the outside door but it wasn't metal so I guess it wouldn't have helped much regardless. Now for the positives. No visible bugs. Bed was comfy. No one bothered me. Likely wouldn't stay with my family here unless I had no other options.

This place is very run down and isn't worth the price. Had a reservation, arrived within 10min of expected time and no one was at the counter. I waited 15min, tried calling and finally someone came to check me in. The door to our room had been kicked it previously and was separate along door seem, dead bolt was busted off, breakfast was not at all as described online, room was absolutely gross (floors didn't seemed vacuumed). The only positive thing was the comfy bead and the awesome water slide. The pool area was really run down and needed a good clean to scrap off the chipping paint. If your thinking of staying here please skip paste, pay the extra and stay some place else.

Friendly staff and great rooms. Honestly best place we have stayed so far on our road trip. The rooms were clean. The price was great. Would definitely visit again.

Super clean. Easy access to car if you're packing lots of stuff. Amazing mattress because I fell asleep really fast. Building not much to look at on the outside BUT who cares, it's got all the good stuff you need on the inside...

This was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in and I'm well travelled! It was freezing cold in the room when I arrived and went to bed fully clothed and several blankets on top of me. Even after cranking the heat all the way to the highest upon arriving, it was still freezing cold at 3am, when all of a sudden the outside door to the parking lot flew open! Thankfully I had the latch on, but the deadbolt didn't connect when I turned it upon arriving. It was still freezing cold at 8am when the fire alarm went off 3 times! The toilet seat wasn't even connected to the toilet bowl and the showerhead wasn't connected to the wall/tile. The parking lot was so snowed in that I couldn't even park my car in front of the door to the room I was first assigned. It took the front desk clerk 2 more rooms before finding one I can park in front of. I was told by the manager that their snow clearing crew doesn't work that late at night! You're a hotel! Guests come and go at all hours, find yourself a snow cleaning company that will come out when needed! When I contacted Wyndham Hotels, I got no help from them and the manager from the Travelodge basically put all the blame on me, the GUEST! Spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else, trust me, you'll thank me!!!

I decided not to stay due to the room being dirty. It was outdated which I knew when I booked but the room I was given had dirt and dust everywhere. Carpets were stained badly as well. The counters were falling apart and dusty. It looked like the room had sat empty for months. It also smelled of Raid as soon as I opened the door. If you know what raid smells like, you know the smell instantly. I didn’t stick around long enough to find the bugs. I ended up booking in at holiday inn for 5$ less than the travelodge. I was shocked! If it was cheap and I was desperate with no children in tow, I would have stayed. But it was not cheap at all! 165$ for one night. That’s totally unreasonable.

We booked this hotel for a family weekend while in Swift Current so we could enjoy the pool. With no apology, fair explanation or warning the pool is closed. Waste of time and now stuck in a small dated room while it’s -20c out with an active toddler.

The suite looks like someone did a 1996 makover on a 1975 building but there's no bugs, clean sheets, comfortable bed. Breakfast included was reasonable considering the price paid for the stay.

Good location in Swift Current. That the ONLY good thing. This “hotel” doesn’t even meet two star standards (its AAA rating), and DEFINITELY detracts from Wyndham’s reputation. It. Is. Horrible. The (outside) stairs to the second floor are dangerous, with cracked as well as gapped (pieces fallen out) concrete. As our room was on the second floor, we had to use those stairs. The room was dirty; we didn’t trust the cleanliness of the dresser drawers, so didn’t put anything in them. The door to the inner hallway (room’s main entrance is from/to the outside, as are the only stairs to/from the second floor) was missing its flip (instead of chain) lock. I balanced the luggage rack against it, so that would fall over and make a noise, if someone tried to break in during the night. The bathroom had very messy attempts at re-caulking some areas, and in the shower tiling, under the faucet tap, there was a hole containing a closed pipe surrounded by a gap. My hubby said it looked like someone had replaced the plumbing without replacing the tile. The toilet wasn’t properly attached to the floor, and tipped then rocked whenever used. Some of the furniture was in disrepair. The only positive was that someone had recently replaced flooring, and refinished some furniture /bought new furniture. We didn’t go to the Lobby to try the included Continental Breakfast, as we just wanted to get the heck away. When we left, the restaurant was supposed to be open for the day according to the times listed on its door; it wasn’t. This “hotel” doesn’t deserve being a part of Wyndham, nor the Travelodge chain.

Terrible service. The person at the check in counter had no interest in helping us. The rooms are terribly run down. The door had signs that it had been kicked in several times. The towels had brown stains all over them..tap dripped.. I could go on... We went and stayed at the motel 6 instead which is brand new, quiet, bright and CLEAN! Spare yourself the non-refundable cost.

Terrible. This hotel is in such disrepair, my kids wouldn't even use the pool! The room for the confidential breakfast smelt sooooo bad of mold we couldn't even stay in there. The breakfast is very minimal, toast, two kinds of cereal and yogurt- thats it The rooms have single pain windows so you can hear all the cars starting in the parking lot. No central Air but a window style air conditioner which is soooo loud you can't use it if you want to talk to anyone or sleep! Could hear the neighbour's cell phone alarm going off 😡 will never stay here ever again!

The receptionist is very helpful. However, this is by far the worst experience. The bed is horrible, run down, and you will sunk in the middle of the bed. I usually strip off bedding before I leave, so to save housekeeper a few minutes of their time, but to my surprise, the matress cover are all stained yellow. The pillow protector has a blood spot on it, so I had to strip it off as well. To my surprised, all pillows are stained yellow. Yuck!!! Pictures dont give great judgment. Dont waste your money here. It's a non refundable reservation.

Very reasonably priced accommodation but needed some update, especially in the bathroom. Pleasant staff and a great chinese restaurant attached.

So far so good. Just got here, reception was good unfortunately at first she gave us the wrong key but with no trouble gave us the correct one after we told her. Yes the room is pretty old but it is very clean I did notice a little yellow stain on the bed sheet but honestly who cares? The interior is very nice 👍 could not hear our neighbors at all or any sound outside our room, The bed was nice better quality than I thought it would be, also the parking lot was very close to the room! Very comfortable for bringing things in.

Ok here it goes… This at best was a $60 room!!! Fridge froze everything, toilet was not attached to the floor properly and rocked(I have never used a rocking toilet until now) Shower faucet was impossible to turn on and when we did get it we could not turn it back off!!! Face cloth that was provided was stained black and had holes in it(yuck) The sheets did not fit the bed! There are 2 doors in the room which did not have proper locks/latches on them so I felt insecure and uneasy all night! The towel rack in the bathroom was falling of the wall! The electric baseboard heater had a very high pitch scream the entire night!!! When the concerns were brought to their attention at check out they did not care one bit!!!

3 stars, but what else do you expect for $95 a night. This isn’t a 3 star rating as a slight but a truly average experience. I have little complaints knowing what I was getting into by booking a room this cheap. I bet this property was really cool when it was new. Now it’s tired and showing it’s age, but the room was clean, the waterslide was fast, and most importantly the price was right. Our beds were even decently comfortable which I didn’t expect. Our room had a coffee maker, microwave, and a fridge. The continental breakfast was simple but free. Something I didn’t realize before booking was that the room has an external door to the outside and an internal door to inside hallway. Nothing negative, but an interesting quirk.

This motel needs a lot of maintenance. The baseboards in the bathroom were falling off, and there was mould on the bathroom tile. In many places. There’s no continental breakfast either. There’s many other motels that offer some sort of breakfast, without mouldy tiles, for the same price. I’d really like a refund or a voucher for a free stay in a cleaner room.

Got in late to Swift Current. Needed a place to stay. The rate was great. Room was clean. They have a continental breakfast. The coffee was very good. So much so that I took one for the road and bypassed my usual coffee stops. It is right across the road for the casino. I didn't go there but if u wanted to stay close, this is your place.

The room was disgusting. Hallways where disgusting. Paint around the pool chipping off. Front desk was the only nice area!!! Couple black spots on the sheets. Won't ever stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else!

Extremely disappointing stay! After an 18 hour day of driving non stop to the final destination of our trip, my wife and I checked in at 3:30am and leaving by 8am our car plates were stolen, we parked our car/trailer right in-front of the cameras outside for our peace of mind, when we informed management & asked to use the footage to give to RCMP, Management told us the cameras don’t work and to deal with rcmp while checking us out quickly!

I only give this hotel 1 star because although it was not a rugged place it could use more attention to details. There were grasshoppers in our room, no milk when we we went for the breakfast, and i made toast only to take a bite and see that my bread was moldy......so not what you want to see. However the other guests there were very friendly Makin it a decent time.

Room stinks of old cigarettes. Carpet is mushy and disgusting... to the point that you don't want to take shoes off. Slept on top of bed fully clothed as don't trust bed is clean. Based on cleanliness, worried about bed bugs. Sadly I booked at last minute needing place to stay. This is undoubtedly the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. I don't write reviews often, but this place is so bad I figured I better warn others. Don't stay here!

The room is 1970s or 1980s dated. The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The sinking mattress was said it was a Queen but felt like a double when you rolled into the centre. It was on wheels which meant any moment meant the bed and headboard would separate. The bathroom which was more recently updated had vinyl base boards coming off but wasn’t as bad as the room. No hairdryer and the shampoo bottle came used. We are up early to leave.

Staff is extremely lazy and rude. Place is super run down. Kids came out of the pool with all kinds scrapes from the horribly run down water slide. Clearly the building had very few guests but the guy at front desk refused an early check in. Shower didn’t work. Carpets are dirty and torn. Breakfast is pretty bad but it’s free. You don’t expect a 4 star hotel for this price but you do expect courteous staff who should be grateful that you are staying in their run down, trashy hotel.

The beds were comfortable. Bathtub dripped all night long. Surprised we had a good sleep. Water slide was all closed off, and hot tub was a cement slab. Very dated and run down. Good location off hwy.

So run down and derelict. The coffee make tasted like bleach so I didn’t feel safe to drink my tea. The curtains didn’t even close fully!! The room had only a conditioner and hand soap…. The bed was SO BAD. There was no covers. Just a linen and this really scratchy blanket that you could use to put on the floor of a car for your dog. I slept with my sleeping bag on my own blanket but the bed was basically broken you couldn’t move without screeching sounds and I basically slept in a V falling into the bed because of how bad it is, and I’m only 130 pounds. It smelt terrible and was way too warm. There wasn’t even proper lighting in the hallway. Like WHO MANAGES THIS?! Can someone call some bureau to put this place out of business? Do not go to this motel!!

Rooms were rough looking, beds were very uncomfortable, outside of hotel was very dusy and dirty. The staff person on duty was sleeping and had to be woken up by pounding on glass then he hastily put together the worst continental breakfast over ever seen.

  • 2/5 Kevin C. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel is the cheapest in Swift Current by half and you get what you pay for. It was a place for a sleep and nothing more and it was OK. The bed was soft (well used), the sheets were threadbare, there was a leak from the ceiling in the hallway and the furniture in the room could probably qualify as antiques.

Well usually I rate those hôtel 4 stars or more but this one I am very generous with 1 star. We arrived in the evening and the staff in the evening was great ans police. Once in the room I have unlocked 1 of the 2 bed and found à dirty young girls (7-10 years old) and acknoledged the bedding didn't get changed! I call the same staff and explained what i found and he did apologizes and mentioned he will report it to the room leader. In the morning I have shown the dirty under wear to the staff ( which I believe could be the manager but not sure) so he said it was impossible??, I mentioned to have reported it to the evening staff but he kept telling me it wasn't true ( praticly calling me a liar) so I throw the underwear to him telling him to sell it that he might recognized the small and that he should be fixed which à complain will forward to the administration. At the end, I found the underwear(kid underwear) and the bedding wasn't changed if not and the bedding was changed period. then I guess the cleaner put it back after changing the bedding??? Common sense is it not?

Swift current travelodge by Wyndham - terrible experience, starting with a dangerous broken exterior staircase, and then found the security locks on the doors had been removed. Although not in the management’s control, a false fire alarm and rowdy neighbours was next - we later learned police were called and these folks evicted. The final straw was management coming into our locked room without knocking or notice, while I was in the shower. Apparently this was related to the fire alarm that had been silenced over an hour before. I did not feel safe remaining, and needed to be very persistent in my demands to be fully reimbursed. Initially I was offered to “only” be charged $20 for the 2 hrs I had been in the room. The manager did intervene, apologized, and approved full refund.

Would not recommend. Stayed here with my kids for a quick overnight, the rooms was cleanish...floor had obviously not been vacuumed in a while, it was gritty/sandy. There must have been a fight in the room at some point because there was blood spatter on the bathroom door. I basically just squinted and tried not to look at things, but every time I put my feet on the floor I was reminded that this place was not well kept. The outside of the hotel and parking lot basically tells the story of the hotel. the free breakfast is not great, but it's "free"

Absolutely disgusting. All five pillows will years of yellow stains, floor in bathroom was so dirty I wiped a chunk of something with a hot white facecloth and it was BLACK. Giant yellow stain on one bed and DOG TICK in the other!!!! Some kind of drink spill on the wall, hasn't been dusted in who knows how long. TWO brown spots on the floor that I believe were FECES that was just picked up and the carpet was never cleaned. Absolutely unacceptable. And after driving 11 hours at 1030 at night the woman at the front desk had the AUDACITY to refuse to look at the room, provide another, and replied "you just checked in an hour ago and you're complaining already?" I'd unloaded my bags. It was 20 minutes. I wish I could include pictures. Health hazard at a minimum.

This was the only decent property that we could find with vacancy. The service was exceptionally friendly despite our 2am arrival, the room was clean and very affordable. It had many amenities, such as Keurig, safe, blow dryer, a/c, and mini fridge. There is also a pool, that we did not have time to check out. Yes, the room was dated, the furniture worn and some minor disrepairs noted in the washroom. . Even though the sheets smelt a bit musty they were bed bug free and we felt very safe staying here. Would definitely stay here again, if we were passing through.
