There is an enormous amount of history at the Waverley Cemetery and these graves have some of the best views in Sydney. Well worth a contemplative wander.

Visited Waverley Cemetery over the weekend with a friend, and it felt like stepping into a cinematic scene. The serene atmosphere, surrounded by history, was captivating. Being right by the sea and close to Bondi Beach adds to the allure. Despite being the only visitors, the experience was uniquely peaceful and awe-inspiring. A must-visit for those seeking a blend of tranquility and history.

An amazing cemetery, absolutely steeped in history. The number of large headstones and monuments is huge, and creates an amazing spectacle with the ocean in the background. Very easy parking on the side roads (Trafalgar St is where I parked), and then I spent a good couple of hours wondering around. The views from the top looking down over the ocean are amazing, but the view from the ocean looking back up at sunset is also incredible.

Absolutely stunning seaside cemetery. Opened in 1877 and home to a collection of beautiful graves and mosoleaums. Visit for a beautiful stroll. Along the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk.

A beautiful Cemetery for our dearly departed overlooking the sea. This place is awash with history and beautiful headstones, a good number of extravagant angels stand watch, and oh, what a view! Must be one of the best views in Sydney. This location is at the Clovelly end of the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, so you will get tourists and locals walking past, aim for sunrise of you want it at its most tranquil. Be respectful! People's loved ones lay here.

Six Stars - the process of interring my Father’s ashes was dealt with sensitively and efficiently. Administrative and operations staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Super quick and generous at resolving any issues for the sake of the grieving family. Thank you all.

Old cemetary where you will find some "famous" Australian graves. Could be so much better maintained, but even in its disrepair, it creates an eerie yet fascinating walk through seeing the old and young values and graves.

The consistent rain has stopped, please now, mow the grass over ALL graves, not just the famous and infamous, so ordinary visitors can actually find their loved ones.

What and old fashioned terrible waste of land. It should be turned into sports fields or at least a forest. They could even plant a tree in all graves past and future.

An amazing trip back in time to see the old and new graves. They even have marked the location of the more famous people, like Henry Lawson. Even the urinals are old.

Staff are great - eager to assist But, though COVID-19 might bear a lot of the responsibility, it's getting pretty overgrown in substantial parts of the place - in need of a bit of care and attention

This is one of the most fascinating landmarks that I stopped by in the Sydney metro. It's worth a contemplative walk. There are some historical figures resting there from all the way back to the early years of the colony.
