A beautiful views, an environment was peaceful. You can go there and sit for a while and hearing the birds singing 🤫❤️..have a fun 🤩.

The museum has a very nice collection of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and remains from Egyptian civilisation. The items of ivory from the ice age are very precious and takes us back to thousands of years. The guided tour in English was really insightful and interesting. One of the best & the most interesting aspect of the museum is the collections from ice age. These rare items give an insight into the brilliance & geniuses of our ancestors who inhabited the area which is modern day Ulm, Heidelberg and around. These are simply brilliant stuffs and I would recommend everyone who is in (or visits) Tübingen to appreciate the amazing collection of this museum. PS - Don't forget to see one of the largest barrels in Germany. :)

Wie immer großartig, und mit den wechselten Sonder-Ausstellungen wie zum Beispiel Udo, Leonardo da Vinci, und vieles mehr.... Zur Zeit Sisyphos, Hohentübingen ist immer ein Muss. Januar 2024

Etwas enttäuscht von der Troia Ausstellung. Wir hatten uns mehr Artefakte aus Troia erhofft. Trotzdem sehr lohnenswerter Besuch, da eine umfangreiche Sammlung über die griechisch römische Epoche vorhanden ist. Darüber hinaus kann man etliche Gebrauchsgegenstände aus der Steinzeit bewundern. Schöne, großzügige Räumlichkeiten.

Wer eine kleine Reise durch die Menschheitsgeschichte und alte Kulturen unternehmen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Museum Alte Kulturen der Universität Tübingen zeigt in einem sehr schön gestalteten Rahmen, viele einzigartige Fundstücke und führt den Besucher durch die letzten Jahrtausende.

Heute mal wieder das Schloss in Tübingen besichtigte .Am Familie Tag Tolle aussicht.gut zum verweilen. Tolle Ausstellung.Schönes Kinderprogramm .

It was a nice walk around the castle. Truthfully, I couldn't find the entrance to the museum. So we just walked through. Very nice views of the area. We walked through the park, over the bridge and up to this castle before exploringing the rest of the town.

From top you have a beautiful view of Tübingen. I like the most, surrounding view in Autumn - amazing reddish, brownish, yellow coloration of leaves. Then this museum has amazing collection of ancient remains and things. It is surprisingly good...

Eine tolle Sammlung von der Steinzeit über die Sumerer,Ägypter, Mykener, Kelten,Griechen und Römer! Für mich,der sich sehr dafür interessiert, genau das Richtige! Fünf Euro Eintritt sind dafür absolut nicht zuviel!

Immer wieder ein guter Ort für einen Besuch. Umfangreiche Antikensammlung in schönem Ambiente. Der Tübinger Waffenläufer und die Gipsabdrucksammlung sind immer einen Besuch wert. Nur was mich wunderte: wo sind eigentlich Kleobis und Biton? Die werden wohl seit einiger Zeit vermisst und den Wagen ihrer Mutter werden sie wohl kein zweites Mal ziehen.

Sehenswerte Ausstellung zum Thema alte Kulturen. Für Erwachsene sicherlich interessant, für ältere Kinder sind wahrscheinlich die Pharaonensärge das spannendste. Die Wegführung durch das Gebäude ist etwas undurchsichtig, vor allem wenn man am Eingang seinen Rucksack abgeben muss und dann, nachdem man alles gesehen hat, wieder durch das ganze Gebäude zurück muss. Leider konnte uns nicht einmal das Personal weiterhelfen!? Für den Eintritt von 5 € alles gut. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es nicht!

Der Besuch von diesem Museum lohnt sich unbedingt. Allein über 4600 Exponate werden in einem einzigartigem Rundgang gezeigt.Ein Höhepunkt ist unter anderen das weltberühmte Pferdchen aus der Vogelherd Höhle.

Eine große abwechslungsreiche Ausstellung, im Museum alles sehr ansprechend gestaltet. Dafür sollte man sich mindestens zwei Stunden Zeit nehmen, eher mehr. Der Eintrittspreis mit fünf Euro ist sehr fair, Audioguides sind kostenlos im Eintrittspreis inbegriffen. Man kann aus der Altstadt auf der einen Seite zum Schloss hoch laufen. Nach dem Museumsbesuch kann man sich den Blick auf Tübingen gönnen und auf der anderen Seite einen kleinen Weg durch den Wald zurück in die Altstadt laufen.

Worth it to go. I remember being impressed by the diversity and amount of artefacts & stories one could learn about. It's not a small collection! And it has different sections so that probably everybody can find something they're interested in.

Ist ganz nett für 2 Stündchen aber nicht vergleichbar mit Museen in Großstädten

A museum in a old castle is always going to be cool. From the interior courtyard it doesn't look like much but once you get inside there are many artefacts ranging from the Palaeolithic to the Romans. The Egyptian collection is cool but my favourite was the Palaeolithic figurines which are wonderfully displayed. They include the horse, which there is also an enlarged version of in the courtyard, and a mammoth made of mammoth bone, which I found pretty cool. The museum has lots to it but younger kids may not find it as interesting as other museums as I didn't see much catered to them. Definately worth a visit if you have a bit of time.

Excellent and extensive selection. The jaw-dropping palaeolithic section is documented in English too, but the rest only has German texts; there is a multilingual app, but I haven't tried it. The palaeolithic, Tux collection, and Egyptian sections would be my highlights. And the views out the windows.
