Food is good, but the staff is extremely rude. Mainly speaking in Italian to you, regardless of whether you understand it or not. We were not even given 5 minutes to choose our drinks and food from the menu, and when we were done, our table was cleared so hastily as if to make sure we were gone ASAP again to make room for the next guests. When we didn't give a large tip because of the staffs' behaviour, the waiter stared at us, stuffed the money into his purse, and walked away muttering to himself. The food is very good and the prices are appropriate, but this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.

A nice little Italian restaurant in the city center. One cannot reserve the place here, just walk and mostly you should find a place. It's a old building have 2 floors, which goes under the ground, thus do not have windows there. The first floor or entrace is very small and does have a window facing towards the pedestrian zone. Though Necker is very close by, there is no view of the same.

I very much enjoyed this restaurant. This was a lunch outing. I always love an opportunity to speak Italian and enjoy Italian food.

Always makes space for us and the food is so good. Street sitting is a priority and not always available.

Good pasta, though not totally outstanding. Medium-high prices, but big portions. Served hot and freshly prepared. Friendly staff. It's on the good side of the 3.5 stars I'd give if I could

Decent pasta with a good selection of noodle types. Unfortunately, cheese was added without disclaimer overpowering the dish, the bread offered was dry and staff was in a rush to clean out our table again.

We stopped in one early evening and split a pizza, which was delicious! It is a bit pricey for a stop in, but would not be at all for a nice dinner night. We watched delicious looking dishes go by our table that would be worth coming back to try.

Al Dente has been our favourite Italian place for many years now. The food is outstanding (go for the pastas), the wines and desserts are very good and the owner is a good cook himself so the quality is always good. Update 2022: Food is still amazing however prices have increased so it's no longer a no-brainer. Expect to pay 80 euros for dinner for 2 people (food, table wine, coffee)

The best pizza in Tuebingen! Excellent ingredients, fresh, and great atmosphere. The owner is very kind and attentive. The staff as well. The daily specials are always excellent as well. Highly recommend!
