1st time to visit this place. This is one of the best ways to hardwire a piece of Philippine History in our minds. Our daughters appreciate it and remember more when they see the places and some artifacts. The place is well maintained also. Kudos to the guardians of this place.

Museum was once a house of Dona Marcela Mariño, a wife of Felipe Agoncillo, local lawyer and independence activist. In 1898, Marcela upon request of general Emilio Aguinaldo, created the first Philippine national flag.

This is the ancestral house of Felipe and Marcella Agoncillo. It is good that the museum is directly under the supervision of thr National Museum meaning the museum is well taken cared of. There is NO entrance fee. However, it would be good if you place donations.

One of the most underrated women in history, regarded only as one of the women assigned to sew the Philippine flag, this place offers amazing revelations about this wonderful individual---intelligent, talented and patriotic, and A SCHOLASTICAN. If you want to prove how women can actually be more than the stereotype, this museum is the place to see in Taal, Batangas.

Free entrance. This museum was donated by the descendants of Marcela Marino Agoncillo to the government. The place is well maintained and the guard/tour guide are friendly and accommodating. Found it really amusing that the security guard is also the tour guide.

We received a warm welcome from the security guard who turned on the air conditioning and all the lights even though only my mom and I were initially the guests and it's near closing time, too. We also learned a lot from him as he also served as our guide. I love the home of Lola Celay, it perfectly symbolizes her simplicity and humility above her skill and creativity. She and her husband Don Felipe's contribution to the Philippine Independence is not one of bloodshed and warfare but it is an EQUALLY GREAT sacrifice that many of us today can relate to better than the warriors and politicians. They were simple folk who loved their Motherland and gave up the pleasures, luxury and comfort of being wealthy to reach out to fellow Filipinos and defended the rights of the downtrodden and oppressed. Notwithstanding it's majestic wonders of nature, Taal is also made memorable and heartwarming by its history and the Taaleños who were part of them that you will fall in love with the town more and more with every visit. #MabuhaykaLolaCelay #MabuhaykaDonFelipe

👍👍 Taal is a heritage site so you will see old church and ancestral houses around the town. There is a Baywalk (Butong) that is about 30 minutes drive if you wish to relax near the sea. Visit Taal Bayview Bistro for a good lunch or try
