Serves its purpose as a cheap business hotel in Tachikawa, but the walls are thin and the amenities are few. There is breakfast in the lobby, and it's fine, but don't expect too much. I e given it four stars based on price and comfort. It has everything you need, but I wouldn't stay here too long as it's not the most comfortable for families (great for business trips though).

Although the rooms are a little small, they are perfectly comfortable. We enjoyed the wide variety of food available here, on different days and on the same day. Mostly traditional Japanese breakfast, the cups of tea and coffee were large and limitless. There were Western style ootions available too. We enjoyed our stay here.

Toyoko Inn was about a 7 to 10 minutes walk away from Tachikawa station. The path there was a little tough to push the luggage as the pavement was rather narrow and jagged. The service was great with really friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast provided roughly consists of rice, curry rice, potato, salad and miso soup. It was tasty and filling. The room was basic and small. The twin room consisted of a single bed and a queen bed. The air conditioning was erratic, at times providing cool air and at times not. There was not much space to walk around in the room after opening our luggage. Price wise was about SGD 120 per night on a weekday. Overall, would have been a better stay if the price was lower.

Rooms are a tad on the small side but I've been told that this is the norm in Japan. Room is well furnished, clean and comfortable. Amenities are also available at the counter downstairs. Morning breakfast is simple but does the trick. Usually consists of rice balls and miso soup. All in all, a minimalist but comfortable hotel!

Smallest hotels’ rooms I’ve been into. Walking distance to Tachikawa Park which is a very nice park.
