Cafe β€’ Coffee shop β€’ Tea house

πŸ‘πŸ‘ So happy this place is still here and survived COVID! It was a Friday tradition to grab an espresso when I was a student at UW-Tacoma. A great place to relax and unwind with friends. Friendly staff, and great options to please any pallet. Missed it and glad to have the chance to stop by! People often mention coffee, shop, great,

Have missed Metro coffee. Very happy to see them open again, better than before, and they were awesome then, too!

A quaint little coffee shop on the UWT stairs this establishment is unlike any other in the area. Upon walking in to the coffee shop one will notice warm earthy walls, local artist on display, bicycles, and a unicycle hanging in various locations. The owner makes an effort to talk to each customer aside from the usual "What can I make for you today?" The coffee is amazing, and they serve various pastries and teas as well. I find that this non-chain coffee shop makes the others pale in comparison. If you stick around to drink your coffee in house you may notice an additional peculiar decoration/theme. This place is very unique and it wouldn't hurt to stop by.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in the world. The owner is amazing, the coffee is ALWAYS good, a great selection of Mad Hat teas (Holy Detox, anyone?), and plenty of space to sit outside. Don't miss this place.

I've got a system for testing coffee at places: order an Americano, no sugar, no cream, nothing. Metro passed this test with flying colors. They're with Tacoma's dumb law against straws, though, so they give you this flimsy straw made of what appears to be a dried reed. Predictably, the reed shattered in my cup. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Super cute cozy vibe, love the interior the drink I got was good too. They don’t offer much in terms of food but it’s a great place to study right on campus and nice music. It is a bit pricey but other then that I love it!

Holy smokes, this place was unbelievable. I'm traveling across the country, and I'm glad I stumbled across this gem. First things first, the interior of this place is gorgeous and full of natural light. I really loved the Dutch wooden shoes on the walls and decorations. We were greeted by very friendly staff and seated immediately at the cutest table. Our waitress was so sweet and helped us figure out the menu.

I went in with a friend for the first time today and the staff was super nice, and the vibe of it was so cute and cozy. Highly recommend if you're a UW student. The prices are great too! Will most likely be going in there again!

My experiences have been very negative. It is small, hard to focus and because I am the director of the psychology department of a large hospital, I have been able to share my experiences with several colleagues. They refused to let me sit. I was told I was leaving. They are extremely nasty. Dr. Richard Hansen, Psyd.

I love the atmosphere and service and I love that they serve Mad Hat Tea but my jasmine tea has been bitter on two separate occasions.

My favorite coffee shop in Tacoma, totally feels like a family run place, not like most other corporate or hipster places. This place is authentic and totally unpretentious. Also really like going there to work "from home" the vibe is always so so cozy and comfortable. The coffee is really good too.
