👍👍 Aussies in search of good coffee—best place so far! Matcha was from a latte powder so it was more sweet but still good. :) Service was great! Super friendly and accommodating. And shout out to the lady who served us and accommodated a drink for our kiddo. People often mention coffee, Coffee, good, building, great,

A cute coffee place in a gorgeous building, a bit out of the way of the primary downtown sprawl, but worth the small detour.

A small Coffee Shop located at the lobby next to the Post Office and a restaurant in a historic building in Downtown Tacoma. It has lots of space to spread out, you will never feel cramped here. It has free Wifi and fresh cut, real flowers in vases, which is a rarity in Coffee shops. Lift Bridge Coffee has some.really delicious and unique flavored specialty Coffee and Tea drinks, with specialty Syrup made from scratch, in house. Such as Honey-Lavender, Orange Anise, Mint-Pink-Peppercorn... Some of them are seasonal, so try them while they are still in the Menu. My recent favorite, for the 2019-2020 Winter Season, is the Orange Mocha (Latte). Their current Manager (2018 - Feb 2020) is quite creative, besides doing all the Floral Arrangements for the shop, she comes up with these House-made specialty Syrups for specialty Coffee Drinks that are really delicious. Their drip/brewed Coffee is fantastic. It is smooth, velvety, creamy, probably one of the best in the country. Reminds me of some of the great Coffees that I have had over the years, roasted by some reputable boutique Italian brands. Pastries at Lift Bridge Coffee are supplied locally by a business called Spilled Butter Dessert. If they are not already sold out, try one. They are simply divine! Lift Bridge Coffee also has real Ceramic dishware and Silverware, which is a nice touch and more eco-friendly. Staff at Lift Bridge Coffee are very friendly, and service is prompt and efficient. They also have a frequent customer program with rewards. Check with the store for details. Overall it is a good place to unwind, relax and spend time, while also taking advantage of the Post Office next window down and the restaurant down the hallway. Metered street parking spots available relatively easy within the block. From the sidewalk at the Northeast corner of the building, you can see Mount Rainier on clear days. It is quite the big and fabulous view! [ Last updated : Thu Feb 13, 2020 ] NOTE : I have taken one Star away as they never responded to an email that I sent them with a complaint, almost four months ago. I believe responding to customer complaint emails is part of good business practice and part of business culture in any five star establishment. If you need to use Sugar substitutes, please bring your own, as they do not carry any, such as, Sweet & Low, Equal, Splenda, Stevia. Available are Sugar, Simple Syrup, Honey Syrup and Agave Syrup. Availability of the Pastries are inconsistent.

I fell in to love with this amazing cafe on a business trip to Tacoma. This places more then earns five stars because of incredible coffee (I had a pour over which was amazing), great staff who took time to ask how my day was, and one of the best historical locations I have seen for a cafe. When in downtown Tacoma, visit and enjoy a visit at Lift Bridge Coffee.

In the past, this was my favorite coffee place in Tacoma, but the quality has seemed to slip during the pandemic. It's still worth a visit though, just for the cool building and, once the pandemic is over, it's a cool place to hang out. And you can go to the post office at the same time!

I've been to many coffee shops across the US and find this place to be an absolute gem amidst the plethora of caffeine retailers. Class, thought, and creativity are reflected in every detail of atmosphere, menu, and customer service. Extremely pleasant staff. Phenomenal menu. Truly impressed and delighted.

One of my absolute favorite coffee shops with friendly and knowledgeable baristas. I’ve never had to tell any of them how to make a proper macchiato or cortado. And if you’re craving something fancier, they always have unique and tasty coffee drinks to try on their menu board. It’s worth the meter cost!

Great coffee, it’s inside the post office so not the best environment. And as you’d expect they take their time. But worth the wait.

Great coffee with good amount of seating. Inside a building with a post office and other business.

Nice cafe in the old courthouse building. Good coffee, friendly staff, and nice seating area out in the main hallway of the courthouse. Only complaint is the fish smell and loud music coming from a nearby restaurant located in the same hallway (En Rama) while they are getting everything ready for opening. I came to get some work done and cannot focus because of the smell and noise.

This place is a must visit. So dang cute, and has such a great little room to do work in or go on a cutie date. The ladies who served me were precious and wonderful. I got a cardamom latte and split a pizza bagel with my lover. 10/10

This is the only true coffee place in the area. The drinks are very good, & the service is great. You would never know it's there on the first floor next to the post office, in a cool old building.

A solid coffee or tea spot in the downtown area. The Vampire Kiss is my favorite drink, that name is so Tacoma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just saying but it’s delicious. Their little kitchen is currently being renovated but I’m definitely looking forward to the breakfast sandwiches. For the mean time I recommend trying one of their very good pastries. One of the big perks of this place is that it’s right next to the “ballroom” located in Court House Square, which is a beautiful room and at times quiet.
