This is a fun and quirky coffee shop! It's very bright and has a happy vibe to it. I got a delicious cappuccino to go. It seems like a cool neighborhood hang out spot as almost all the tables were filled even at the end of the day.

Beautiful Space, Delicious Coffee Products, Nice People! Great variety of well-crafted coffee drinks, fresh pastries and a fantastic (beautiful) space in which to enjoy. I ordered a Dopio (double shot straight espresso) with a dash of heavy cream, it was Perfect! Followed up with a cup of the daily drip and it was even better yet. The space is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. This has become my favorite coffee shop. It's a two-mile walk for me and I'm happy to bypass all the others on my way. They sell a variety of Whole Bean Coffee from Manhattan Coffee Roasters, and a local (Seattle) roaster as well. I scooped a bag of Manhattan to take home, will update review after I've tried it. The photos: I took a few last summer, while it was under construction (looked forward to opening day), the rest, I snapped this morning. Summary: These guys are GREAT!

I randomly discovered this coffee shop, and I am very grateful that I did. The storefront is welcoming, looks great with the morning sunrise, and is spacious. The menu items are detailed so you're well informed of your coffee, or non-coffee, decision. The owner is ridiculously personable, and makes you feel right at home. The product (coffee) had a great espresso roast added to it. I didn't discover as to whether or not they roast internally or not, but it was great regardless. I'm excited to go back and try other coffee and non-coffee offerings. Great place that I truly hope will succeed in the area.

The reviews aren’t just hype. My husband is a strong black pour over coffee or iced americano type. I’m the type that needs some sweetness and dairy or the bitter is too much. This is the ONLY coffee spot we both find to be top of our list. The coffee is so good and so well-rounded that it satisfies us both. I’m absolutely in love. Not to mention it’s the *prettiest* coffee shop I’ve ever been in, bar none. Gorgeous, fresh colors, inviting atmosphere, and some plants that will make you absolutely jealous! Note the hours, so you don’t show up when they’re closed, but you’re gonna love it here. PS - their chocolate is vegan, so if you’re also vegan, no barriers on their glorious mochas!

Stopped in on a friend’s recommendation while visiting. The coffee was incredible, the owner and staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the buttery pastry was warm and delicious. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon. Everything you want in a neighborhood coffee shop.

Decided to explore the area as the sun has started to re-emerge. Walked into the big wide open entry and found a cutely decorated coffee shop. Open floor plan with seating that allows for studying, reading, or socializing. Staff was friendly and answered my questions about my cold brew. Definitely feels very coffee connoisseur centric.

Amazing speciality coffee shop, the owner is amazing and if you have questions about recommendations he is super knowledgeable. They often has a nice rotating selection of coffee for pour overs and and they do milk based drinks very well. The atmosphere is super chill and I love the aesthetics of the inside. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in the Puget Sound area.

Great addition to the neighborhood! Large bright space, nice background music, friendly owner and tasty drinks and snacks. The roll and hummus was delicious alongside the “fantasy sweet” latte.

Everything I’m looking for in a neighborhood coffee shop- atmosphere, vibe, friendliness, TRUE artisan coffee and coffee drinks…. without pretension. No one is trying to prove anything here, just an honest offering of a truly high end product and service.

Just dropped by Bewares Coffee in middle of my trip. Best pour over I ever had in a local cafe. It had very unique flavors and the brewing was done perfectly. I also gave their cortado a try and I have to say the milk texture was spot on same with the espresso.

Such a cute, neighborhood coffee shop! Love the name and love the interior decor even more. The Affogato was delicious and the cutest “for here” cups and saucers.

I have been here twice, so far coffee has been great. They are also super nice and patient, lovely people. It is very quiet inside and peaceful, I imagine it’s a great place to come and work or read:). The vanilla hazelnut was delicious and they have a lot of alternative milk options. 5 stars! They are not open Monday or Tuesday. Wonderful experience:)

Omg! This place is a gem in Tacoma! Only 3 minutes away from my house. QUALITY COFFEE! when I say quality, the espresso they use is smooth and light and blends well with the milk. They have a good variety of Pastries. I got the croissant cinnamon bun. So delicious and super affordable! they also carry excellent quality matcha lattes! If you're not a huge coffee drinker, try matcha! its great alternative. Staff is so kind and friendly! This place deserves a 5 stars. Tacoma is comin up with this awesome coffee shop!

A bright, welcoming, and high quality coffee shop. The specialty syrups blew our minds and taste buds. (We tried the lavender cardamom and candied ginger.) Staff are professional and courteous. Highly recommend!

Great decor, nice atmosphere, small cozy gem If you have time for a chat, able to wait for a longgggg line and train your patience, then this is your spot. I love this coffee shop, but I am too hustle in weekdays to get this coffee. Fantasy coconut honey is good to try, sit down, talk to your friend and watch the flow of people with happy face.

Recent vacation in Tacoma area so glad we stopped at Beware on our last morning as headed out of town. Welcoming, patient, helpful and knowledgeable staff! Provided great suggestions on drinks and food. Our group has hot and cold lattes and an espresso, all excellent. Large selection of delectable mouthwatering treats such as muffins, cookies and light, flakey “rolls”. We did a take out order, but the atmosphere would have been enjoyable to eat in. Highly recommend!

Great coffee spot on McKinley hill! This is some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Friendly staff and chill vibe inside. I just wish they had some type of outdoor seating, that would be amazing - nothing extravagant, just something.

Such a beautiful atmosphere and if you are looking for delicious coffee with house made syrup look no further. Braxton and his wife own this little shop and love supporting small family business. The latte art was so gorgeous though the taste of my Carmel latte was so delicious, I am going to be back tomorrow

This place is soooo Beautiful inside. And that creates an atmosphere of welcoming and peace. The customer service is great. Super friendly and engaging. The coffee was Fabulous!! I had a Carmel machiado with oat milk. They make their own Carmel syrup😲. It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. I am absolutely a fan! You are a welcomed treasure to the neighborhood. Thank you for what you do!!
