Not bad. Many people walking by. None of which I knew of. None of them are friends. I'm alone in my world, befriending just my curiosity, and my loneliness. Still, it's better than living alone..

I rank this place 2nd among 10 night markets in Taiwan that i have been to, this place is nearly as good as Keelong night market. Wide range of food variety, sellers at vendors are lovely. I tried the fried pork pieces and I see why there are always a long line waiting for it. I was fried to perfection, nice marinade and seasoning. The fried squid is so so. The giant chicken here is battered, deep fried, then dipped in the sauce, then char grilled, so much effort and there is a line for it as well, but i find the batter too thick and the chicken quality is not good as well. The roasted duck roti looks nice but i didn't get to try, same for the mochi

It was raining quite heavily when I visited but still lively and people out getting food. There's quite a variety of stalls with some unique treats like the steam rice cake and other dessert options. One thing that lost one star was the lack of rubbish bins. As most people are buying and eating as they go, having to carry around your trash isn't that fun. Hoping to visit again soon to see the full offering.

One of the best night markets I’ve been to at Taiwan, including the ones at Taipei. Nicely sized but so many food stalls! Could finish it in 2 hours including eating. The only thing we didn’t like was the marshmallow ice cream which wasn’t toasted sufficiently and the texture was a bit weird.

This is the most crowded night market in the entire Taiwan for sure. tons of people the variety of food here is amazing I had skewers! wow so good. I had the korean fried nut donut, wow almost as good as the Korean one but still very good and brings back good memory. I had dragon fruit juice. great tasting.

Might have been our favorite night market here. It had the right selection of food and a lot of different stalls to shop at. The bubble tea here is amazing!! Definitely will be back when we visit Taiwan.

20200501: hands down the best night market for food. really great selection--some of which we have not seen anywhere else--and reasonably priced. stomach didn't have room to try them all! highlights were the white sugar donuts, stone grilled pork belly and sausage, and tonkatsu beef.

Food everywhere. I just love this night market. I couldn't move on about going to this place. For me, each night market offers different brand of flavors. From the tastiest fried squid to the coolest milk tea. You won't run out of food to choose from. I will definitely go back to this place. 😍

One of my favorite night market I went to in Taiwan! There is great variety here, and a lot of unique individual vendors selling things I haven’t seen anywhere else. If you made it to Tainan and you like might markets, you can’t miss this one!

Packed. Very local! Both mochi stalls were awesome. One is milk mochi and another wraps oranges, bananas and strawberries in mochi with your choice of flavor and coating. Also had hotteok and colorful grilled rice balls?! Pretty great.

As a tourist, I wouldn't miss a location for a stroll in night market. Fortunately this is the only night market opened in Tainan during Monday(probably). And it's quite big and busy compared to any night market in Kaohsiung.

There are actually two night markets side by side. One is Da Dong and the other is Da Dong Dong. It's about 60% food stalls, 20% games and 20% selling stuff. Food is good, just don't stuff yourself at one stall. Take the smaller portions so you can try more. This was the only one open on Christmas day.

Heard a lot about Tainan night market. Also heard Datong was a big night market. I am disappointed by the number of stalls presents. Not many vendors, many of them propose the same offer (fruit jelly balls, stinky tofu, oysters omelets, scallion pancakes, takoyaki). Food is good but many of them are fried and a lot of milk teas stalls. Overall the food is cheap and generous. The vibe given is inspired by the Japanese style (flags etc.)

Delicious food and fun games. Be prepared to walk among a sea of hungry customers. Haha Hard to find parking for cars, recommend moped or walking to the night market. Cash only for all the food stalls. Fried scallion pancake, fried chicken, stone-grilled pork belly, stinky tofu, deep-fried yam balls and lots more!

A good night market choice when you are in Tainan. Overall the choices of food and beverages are similar - if not the same with Garden / Flower Night Market. There are few bus stops nearby, and also taxis stand by in front if the market, so transportation is easy even if you don't drive. The night market is crowded during my visit, but nothing extraordinary. With the abundance options you have, you will definitely find something you like.

There are a lot of delicious food in Taiwan. There are more and different foods in Tainan. There are often night markets. There are many delicacies. You can also eat delicious food, fried rice, hot pot, all kinds of food, all kinds of food. I hope that the new crown will go well. End the day early, you can go to the night market to eat more food, yes love

It has lively vibe and wide variety of food offerings. It’s big but not too big. Most of the vendors understand English. Convenient to navigate. However, a bit complicated to reach by bus.

Normal night market with lots of different stands inside. Like any other night market in Tainan, it won't give you much surprises here. And they only have one traditional corn dog stand which is my favorite. The corn dogs are amazing btw. Not a good place if it's rainy outside. No alcohol provided as well. Watermelon juice is usually provided with sugar which you can tell them not to add sugar cost me 35 dollars( cheapest, need to find for a bit). Some vendors might charge you more if you don't ask around and compare them to other stands.

Numerous variations of food, beverages, and games. Came here during Dragon Boat Festival, so it was very crowded. Sorry for not so nice picture but this place introduces me to one of the best stinky tofu I ever tried. It's located in the middle part of the third row from the main entrance. Must try!

Only opens on Mon Tue Fri! Lucky we could visit there. Big open air market with both local food and other non-food “stuff”. If you want some customised name printed stickers with cartoons it’s a steal.

Was a great experience. The local foods are very tasty and the variety of vendors was immense! The prices are very good and some of the vendors know a little English. I was able to communicate with the little mandarin I know. Will definitely go again next Friday night.

Very nice and busy night market. Plenty of fun games, good food and good deals. But do not try any non Taiwanese food. The Thai papaya salad made by a Taiwanese was all wrong in the worst ways and the "Mexican" stand run by a middle eastern man was deplorable. Besides that, definitely worth a visit.

  • 4/5 Greg D. 1 year ago on Google
The usual Asian night market with lots of food options. Some games and other goods. I think there was about 8 aisles. The only beef I would have is every time we tried to sit down the vendor would say that we didn't order the food there and there didn't seem to be any general seating.

  • 5/5 Anna B. 3 years ago on Google
There's a great variety of delicious food here from Taichung style scallion pancakes to oyster omelets, BBQ skewers, milk tea and fruit teas, bakery breads, sweet potato balls and more ~ however it's exceptionally crowded, I mean packed like a tin of sardines, so moving around is very slow and bumbled! Be prepared to be squashed if you go 😅

The night market is open on Mon, Tue and Fri. I come here each time when I'm here Tainan. It was rather crowded when we were here on Fri, finding a parking lot can be a challenge. There's a variety of local food and snacks, you may have to queue at some popular stalls.

It is one of the bigger night markets in Tainan, same standing as the famed Garden Night Market of Tainan. A wide variety of street food and games section, and there is even one roadside beauty parlour!

  • 4/5 Tom 5 years ago on Google
Very very popular night market in Tainan. Come here with a big party of people so you can share dishes and order from multiple stalls. Some really tasty local and other Asian stalls. The challenge is to somehow walk past all the tasty looking food as you are full already! Be careful of motorbikes zipping about everywhere outside and be careful of your belongings.
