Very large area and very clean park. A lot of people while we were there, some of them exercising and the rest sitting around on the benches provided. There's a small pond where you can exercise on the cycling equipment around it. If you cycle properly, you can see water dripping from the pipe. There's many entrances around the park. The park provided moisquito repellant to whoever need it.

This park isn't amazing but it is good for plain walk (many small trails among trees, recreation areas and a large pond), it is good for photo hunters (flowers, squirrels, birds ...), it is good for quiet time, seating or sharing a snack with friends, to take your children, for outdoor exercises (running or using some of the static fitness equipment). There is even a concert structure and with a little luck, we can come across good performers. So it's worth a look (and it's completely free).

Daan Forest Park was the main reason why we chose our hotel in this area of Taipei. I wanted to visit the park every morning to do bird photography before we go to our destinations everyday. The park is a haven for the elderly and for the fitness buffs. It's so inspiring to see people, mostly seniors, gathering in many diverse groups, doing their fitness exercises or activities of choice. It's also nice to see and eventually meet fellow bird enthusiasts who are either bird photographers or just plain birdwatchers. The place is ideal for city birding as it has a wide expanse of greens with some portions having thick vegetation, good enough for several bird species to thrive. Many egrets and herons are nesting on the trees by the pond. Barbets are also building nests on tree trunks. Good park facilities like stationery bikes in the garden, an ampitheatre, basketball courts, skating rinks, and a lot of benches, seating areas, and sheds. Clean and well-maintained restrooms.

Everything you'd want out of a park. Super accessible right on the MRT line, and surrounded by nice cafes (some basic general chains, but also specific characterful ones as well!). You can also grab a uBike from any entrance point to the park and cycle around which is a lot of fun. It's nice to spot some native floral and fauna, and I personally loved visiting this park as a place to picnic with friends or go on a date.

Lovely park... plenty of really nice paths, wildlife, activities, very nice space in the craziness of taipei... we needed a day in the heat away from the hot/cold shock of going in and out of air conditioning... perfect for that... Gentle walks not too step , mainly flat.. plenty of seats for rest or to take in the moment...

On a sunny day, it's a beautiful place to be. Although many people were enjoying this spacious park, it didn't feel very crowded. Plenty of park benches were provided in many areas. I felt this park is almost like Central Park in New York or Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Lucky for the people who came to relax and enjoy the Park!

This really is a lovely park. Tons of space and things to do. I feel so lucky to live near such a large park! Taiwan has done a great job preserving the nature they have. Family friends. Basketball courts. Lots of walking trails. Ponds. Space to sit and picnic.

Come here instead of the Botanical garden. There is a bit more interesting scenery and decoration. It's also next to a metro station. I love the yellow birds near the pond. All of the tourists tried following them. It's not an essential visit in Taipei, but still cool. Free to enter.

Nice parknto walk around and or bring the children. Plenty of slides and climbing frames to keep them happy. There is also a walking trail and lovely pond. If you go there at the weekend pop across the road for the weekend flower and jade Market. If near Christmas or birthdays you may be inspired at the Jade Market so much choice and beautiful items

Very nice park near NTNU. Only 10 minutes walking. Really made for everyone with all ages. Running track is good. Playground, Basketball and Rollerblades court are available. There is the rollerblades shoes rental and class training available with extra fees.

We love Da’an park, especially when it’s in the fall season. The park offers shaded area for different outdoor activities and we just love having our play dates here.

Nice park to walk through and enjoy some time alone or with a group. Not a lot of trees to go with the name.... Maybe at one point, it may have been a forest. It's between an area with a lot of traffic so the noise level is high. Has parking available underground so that is a plus. Walking distance from bus and metro stations.

A great park with good environment. Fresh air, a lot of animals, and good location. The red bicycle is so amazing! It’s good for families, couples, the old, and children. Moreover, it usually has a lot of activities during weekends.

This park is good for many purposes. You can stroll in the park, have a picnic, observe some birds at the lake, spot some squirrels and enjoy some free shows in the summer.

This park is one of the largest in Taipei. It’s huge and has a lot of activities and beautiful scenery to enjoy in every season. My favorite is around spring where you can see flowers bloom, early or late summer where you can have a picnic under the shade to run away from the island’s blazing hot and humidity and of course early winter. There are few squirrels running around the grasses and trees, I don’t suggest you to give them food, just enjoy to see them collecting food ;) Definitely a good place to have a picnic and see everyone takes their dogs to walk around.

It is always a nice to have some Greenery but don't expect some quiet time as you can always hear the cars. It seems to be the perfect place for picnic and there are lots of benches to seat and relax for a bit of time. You can also see many squirrels and birds, however be careful if you feed the squirrel they bite.

It's a beautiful park in Taipei. Daan Forest Park is a big park in central of Taipei. This park is comfortable for anyone who want to enjoy the fresh air in the middle of this city. Some also do jogging and exercise in this park. I really often come here for relaxing after work and study.

Indeed a very sprawling forest park with multiple toilets across the entire park. There are spaces catering to all age groups, with well paved paths and boardwalks for a leisurely stroll, a dedicated jogging track and plenty of spaces where the residents engage in all types of activities. There were many trees and is very shady if you do not like to be out in the sun. I was very impressed by the offerings of this park. I see groups of people, some doing the fan dance, others Taiji, a small band made up of older folks warming up with their musical instruments, younger folks playing basketball at the courts, kids at the playground, preschool students going on a walk with their teachers etc The park was so huge that it could accommodate everyone with their different activities and yet have large spaces with nobody around. You can bring your mat, food and stuff and just have a picnic, let your kids play on the open field while you read a book etc A lovely place to exercise, to spend with your kids or just on your own for some quiet time. You can always find a quiet corner in this sprawling compound. Readily accessible by train (Daan Park Station) and alight right at the park.

This is a great place for your children to play safe. Very big, well taken cared of, great playground area with soft rubber floor and lots of amenities for kids, including a huge slide. Basketball courts as well, and outdoor gym for the elders. Nicely lit at night and right by the Da'an Park MRT, with a cafe as soon as you get out the station. No bikes allowed, whoch is great.

I visit several times a week and am amazed every visit at the care and upkeep of this beautiful park! Plantings are switched out regularly, keeping it fresh and interesting. I think you could take a million photos here. I enjoy the bird island and turtle moat for relaxing. Plenty of paths for beautiful walks. There are exercise stations and a large ampitheatre where concerts and events are held. They are installing right now a new huge playground. Parking under the park, MRT exits right to the park. Oh, don't forget, Louisa Coffee is right there by the fountains. You must visit!

One of the most peaceful places I’ve been to. It’s really nice to stay at a nearby hotel (I stayed at the Taipei Fullerton). Daan I’m general is a very local and not touristy sort of neighborhood. In the park itself, you can walk, run, exercise (with some of the contraptions in the playground), and even bike to make water. It’s so nice to walk there in the morning and see how many elderly people are exercising and how nice nature can be. It’s a nice big space so staying in the area and visiting multiple times won’t get boring: there’s a lot to see.

It's great that it is in the middle of the city so it's a nice place to rest when you need it or just walk and jog. It's great for kids as well since there are a lot of birds and other domesticated animals in the area. We went there in the afternoon and it was still refreshing, the air is fresh despite being smacked in the middle of the city.

Only when I got there, I discovered that it is now an azalea exhibition, and there is also a lavender exhibition. The most attractive thing is the hydrangea. After taking a few photos, I walked around. Look, I saw a big tree. I thought it was a very big tree. When I looked closer, I found that it was bamboo. I was surprised that the bamboo grew up one by one. It looked like a big tree from a distance. Bamboo, Daan Forest is really full of surprises. It’s great to go home with a lot of harvest. Great park to hangout at, with public bathrooms available. Very spacious, and facilities for various activities such as basketball, skating rink, jungle gym, large grass fields and open areas and even an amphitheater for outdoor concerts and other events. Note that biking in the park is not allowed.

the park is huuuge and you can do many activities here: picnic, sports (there is a basketball court for 3 on 3), roller skate area, pond and bird habitat, various birds, squirrels, and a playground for children to play on swings, sand, and slides. This is weekend so yeah, like a like canned sardines 😂😂😂

A really nice park. We visited it the first time after completing our 2 weeks quarantine (this was back in March 2020 at the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic). Lately we came back to this park to enjoy a lunch under the trees. Make for a very romantic place, especially during a warm day of January as the temperatures are just perfect. Not too cold, not too hot!

This park is getting more interesting with more variety of ecological zones. I do really wish to see the a small scale of meditative sacred herb maze here somewhere one day. That would be even more interesting . I definitely feel safe to do my late night walking here. Feel nice to see birds and here frogs and crickets in this crammed city.

Very beautiful 😍, it was amazing to see family cheering all together in weekend, the park was decorated with beautiful flowers and many other props to take pictures. Very crowded in weekend, if you wanna spend time with nature in peace go in the weekdays 😄.

Biggest and well managed park in Taipei City I can sit here all day with a cup of coffee in my hand, watching kids playing on the green, people walking their pets and couples enjoying their private time in a fast moving city life style. This is the only place you can slow down your pace. And I somehow can feel how Louis Armstrong was feeling when he sang "What a wonderful world"

It's been more than a decade since I last came here, and I took this chance to take a walk after a full lunch on a normal Thursday. This park has been an important local park and also a landmark. It's a blessing to be living near this park.

A huge and beautiful park in the middle of the city. The maps inside are very helpful and easy to understand, there are pavilions for you to sit during raining season, and a nice place to jog, take walk, or simply drink your morning coffee. You can also see some squirrels playing here and there, and lots of children happily playing at the playground. Perfect place for your morning routine!

If you want to cool yourself down, just come here and you will be relieved from the sun and you will have a breeze of a fresh air. It’s a quiet park, with many comfy benches and different plants and animals. Be careful next to ponds, there are rats at night and a lot of mosquitoes.

Very good place to have a relaxing walk. The park is huge and it offers many opportunities to relieve stress, like doing sports, watching animals or simply taking a stroll.

Trees, lots, but not really quite a forest I wound call it. Walking trails thread through different parts, always a pleasure stroll whichever path you choose. Joggers, fast walking elders, parents with kids or stroller (but not always a human inside), martial art people, yoga people, someone who brought a tent, bird watchers, special events attendees, just a great place for everyone. My favorite area was the bamboo (near north west), the bamboo somehow brought a sense of tranquility.

A nice park in the heart of Taipei, easily accessible with a Subway station right under the park and conveniently surrounded by 4 main roadways. Underground parking lot with entrance leading into the park. Lots of space for events and activities including an amphitheater. A short, nice stroll around its ecological pond and firefly area. Park has accessibility ramps so friendly for baby strollers and even wheelchairs. Public bathrooms well scattered throughout the park and well-maintained with cleaners onsite.

I was walking there with a friend at the evening when it was already dark, beautiful park and very relaxing! There's a short road with stones that can massage your feet as you walk on it. Overall great place to walk around and relax ✨ There's also a basketball court. (In one of the pictures you can see red lights, they were there for filming, so they might not be there when you walk there)

We absolutely love this park. The area for kids to play in is great. It has a climbing structure, slides, swings, and a big sand pit. I love the exercise area. It has just about everything including walkers, a rower, waist trainers, pull up bars, parallel bars, and inclined sit up area. There's a beautiful field next to it where you can see white cranes. There's also an amphitheater, trash and recycling cans, and lots of walking/running paths. It's so huge, we haven't even explored half of it. There's a parking garage underneath.

Not too busy, with a relaxed and fragrant atmosphere. My family and I visited before all the flowers bloomed, but it was still beautiful. We had a lot of fun enjoying the fresh air and cheerful bustle of fellow park visitors.

Nice park to run or walk but overly crowded and definitely over rated in terms of overall rating. No need to go out of your way to visit unless you are a runner or have very young kids. Playground is quite attractive but too many people in the evenings also make it hard to play.

Is one of the biggest forest park in Taipei. Is has a large varieties of trees. When I went there on 26.3.2023 there was a azalea flower festival. Hydrangea and other flowers were on displayed too. There is also a live band to entertain the crowd. The park has ample public facilities like seats and washrooms.

Taiwan’s Central Park. A visit to a foreign country’s park is always in the itinerary and for good reason. It’s free, relaxing, and slows the pace down on an otherwise jam-packed trip. Loved my visit at Daan Forest Park and will be one of my stops the next time I’m in Taiwan.
