Not as big as some of the other night markets but still has some good food especially if you just landed in the country. Prices were cheap. Not much waiting time for the food. Food quality was delish. We tried some stinky tofu, sweet potato balls, and grilled pork sausage.

I think all night markets are similar in that they depend on your attitude. The food here is good and there are a lot of people. The stall owners are sometimes nice and sometimes if you lounge around, take photos and don't buy anything are mean if you understand Chinese. It's worth it to go here and the other night markets.

Enormous variety of comfort street food. Most vendors speak at least some English (thank you for covering for my own linguistic challenges) but pointing at what you’d like is also perfectly understood and graciously accepted. We had fun exploring multiple options.

There are several night markets in Taipei. This one is cool. Lots of great street food to try. Better dumplings than the ones I had at Din Tai Fung, and much cheaper too.

Not the biggest night market but definitely worth checking out. I had a fantastic time here enjoying the smells and wares on offer. Scallion pancake with egg upon entry always has a big line but is top tier. Would also check out this area in the morning as there is lots of fresh produce and breakfast treats available too. Stall owners were lovely and helpful 😇🥰

Had a great variety of food at this market, from scallion pancake, corn in a cup; mochi shaved ice, seasoned fruit to crispy pork buns. It was my first night market so I can’t compare it but it was quite spacious on a Monday night. We were able to walk, eat and shop at the side stores comfortably.

So much fun! We ate dinner at one of the grills. Bubble tea is less than $2USD. I failed to rescue Totoro from the claw machine, though.

This is the ‘local’s night market’ - we went here with local colleagues able to translate and explain. A fantastic experience but probably a bit intimidating if you’re a tourist on your own! Interesting range of food stalls offering local cuisine, shops offering a variety of goods and also souvenirs. Several shops selling clothing for cats! Definitely atmospheric and clearly popular. Choice quite overwhelming. Had a gorgeous pork bun, didn’t buy any cat clothes… 😛 Quite close to Taipei 101 really, probably about 15 minutes walk. Nearby shops selling kittens invoke sadness though.

I would rate 7/10. I like that the layout of this night market is one single street so it’s easy to navigate. However for more exciting places it would be Ximending / Shilin. Nevertheless if you wanted to try out different night market like me, give it a try!

Always fun at a night market, here is no different. Bit small as night markets go but good selection of the traditional foods. And good tasting too. Easy to get here on the Red Line MRT stopping at Xinyi Anhe or multiple Xinyi buses. And lots of shops, restaurants and tea shops on nearby streets.

Very nice and local night market. It was not too overcrowded when I visited and the shopkeepers were friendly and welcoming. Food is good and plenty of choice!

This night market was much better than Ning Xia. It's more of a open layout where as Ning Xia is set up so that you are fine between the vendors and it is crowded. Not only is Lin Jiang bigger, there was enough elbow room as well as entertaining little booths that included day throwing, BB gun shooting, and prize toy booths with the claw. You can find your regular variety of night market food here. The venders aren't too pushy. They call it to you as most do. Even me with my broken Mandarin got by. We ended up getting the torched beef cubes and a friend cheese snack. I suggest skipping on the fried cheese. It was just like a big mozzarella cheese stick. For the torched beef cubes I suggest getting the rose salt. There are plenty of stores and venders in the area to include a convenience store. Enjoy your walk through there and bring your appetite

There are a few bib gourmand stalls here. We tried the Liang Ji Lu Wei which we realise are mainly made if innards 😅 you had to go grab a basket and choose what you want and they will chop up your selection for you. also had the sesame and peanut tang yuan -- those were quite good

Smaller type of night market compared to shilin, however it’s not as crowded with tourist. This place is mainly food stalls & claw machine!

Certainly a smaller market with one main drag and a couple of side streets, plenty of choice for food, lots of shops to buy knock-off merchandise from. Shihjidao Shawarma was a great find out the front of the Family Mart, a little bit of bread and freshly sliced chicken kebab was lovely.

Great place to get cheap and delicious street food. Also has some basic phone accessories and electronics shopping. It should be noted that shops tend to close earlier on weekdays (Around 10-11pm), so plan accordingly.

The scale of this night market is comparatively small, but you will be surprised at the array of local gourmet choices. You will be spoilt for the huge selection of local snacks at affordable prices. Don’t miss the famous stinky tofu (臭豆腐), I got completely indulge in this scrumptious local food. It tasted not stinky at all but with strong fermented and yeast aroma, sour sweet with pickled veggies. Another must-try-item is sinful spicy deep-fried chicken (鹽酥雞). I swallowed two big packs by my own. A place recommended for ultimate foodies!

Linjiang (Tonghua) night market as one of many night markets in Taipei. Love the vibe at this quite long and exciting streets full of snack and food stalls from local delicasies to famous michelin star choice Stinky Tofu called Heavenly Scent tofu. Many hot pot stalls, local Taiwanese braised dishes, fried and grill seafood, interesting vegetarian stalls, traditional Taiwanese Ice cream made from fresh fruits as well as shaved pr snow iced with variation of toppings. Try also their Sweet potato wedges stall and Deep Fried Boneless spare ribs. There are many tea and boba corner too. So be prepared with your emty stomach. Its a great fun.👌👍

Nice night market. Although it's not big, there's a Qgood selection of quality stalls here. Personally, I want to try quite a wide variety. The 1st stall I saw was popular with people queuing for the dumplings 锅贴。 There's the usual chicken chop and others like bubble tea, fried food, brasied meat, etc, I like that there's other options like teppanyaki, Japaness sushi, polo bun, salted chicken, mee sua. Will definitely recommend to friends

Widespread of affordable local delicacies that you must lay your bites on. Spoilt for choices and you can't finished trying all even if you are here for a week. There are few local shops selling shoes, clothing, mobile accessories etc.

A good local night market, just not as big as other famous night market in Taipei. Halal choices are really limited, but still have options such as fresh fruits and also Thai stall that sells banana pancake and Thai tea. Other choices need to observe by self and confidence on the dish.

One of the non touristy nightmarket. Offer a variety of foods and it's not so crowded. Worth a go, only problem you will find is the nightmarket is not near the metro station.

A relatively touristy night market. All the famous stuff we tried were ok....could be better elsewhere. There are better night markets for food and for shopping.

Many night markets in Taipei, but Tonghua has its own character and flavors to explore. Delightful, vibrant, good food, easy to navigate. Enjoy!

This night market was amazing. Very local, full of amazing street food and other more gadgety things. But you should definitely check it out for the food.

My home for the past five years. 😊 Good variety of food. My favorite is the shwarma/kebab, or you could get a 炸雞排 (fried chicken cutlet). There's a couple of good Vietnamese restaurants there too.

Very vibey. Nice food, short walk from Taipei 101. I actually stumbled upon this place just wondering around the street nearby. There was a lot of noise so I followed it and it was pretty cool to see the famous Taiwan night markets The food: impossible to try it all no matter how big your stomach is. The value is excellent, nothing, absolutely nothing, is expensive so you can go nuts. Everything just taste good! Even very bland looking noodles is full of meaty flavours. They know what they're doing, go in and get amongst. Enjoy the food everyone :)

Visited this night market twice. It's a good location because it's within walking distance of Taipei 101 so you can definitely visit two sites in one night. I loved the many different stalls of food amd dried goods. Best for shopping for gifts (pasalubong in Filipino). Stuff here is relatively cheaper than in other tourist sites. Don't forget to sample the street food. Stinky tofu, Taiwanese sausage, and fried mushrooms are must-trys!

The best Street market in the world. I have been eating here for 49 years. Oops i don't really want to give away my age! Still the same stalls!! But different generations! They come and go but figured is still very good.

Tonghua night is a moderate size night market full of delicious food. Chicken ball with powder and garlic is great. There are also dumplings side restaurant with sour SaeChuan soup which is pretty good. The pork bun with sweet grinded nuts are marvelous.

Good variety of food Considered big as its in the city Prime area of Da An so prices are about 10% to 20% more expensive than normal

night market, hidden gem. When talkin about night markets, shilin will be one of the first few to be mentioned. Linjiang is a hidden gem right smack in the city centre that is accessible by MRT (5min walk away from xinyi anhe station). This night market has a good balance of food (70) and merchandise (30) spread for you to spend an entire night there. Looking forward to visiting it more often!
