It's a nice hostel. The decorating is very nice and the rooms are a good size. The staff are friendly and know about the area so can give many good suggestions of where to go. They also do not put too many people in a room so it can be very quiet and spacious. I would love to stay again in another season and would probably rate it 4-5 stars. HOWEVER, I cannot recommend this hostel in summer!!! There are not many rooms/beds but for some reason the "cleaning time" spans 6 hours. From 10am-4pm you cannot use the showers or air conditioning! I hope they can change this or at least be honest about wanting to save electricity costs(?) because I find it to be unreasonable in the middle of a heatwave and no one is cleaning for a full 6 hours.

Nice location but too bad there’s no elevator, a bit difficult for girls with heavy luggage. Staff is nice and good at english. They will recommend u good restaurant nearby to try

The hostel offers relatively cheap accommodation inside their 4 8-bed dorms with pretty solid and very spacious beds. The stuff is friendly, super helpful and the common area adequate for the narrow city location. Their is a moder and clean kitchen with spacious fridge and induction heat plates. The WiFi can be weak at peak times, but was stable enough for the one night we were there. Paid around 23 Euro per bed & night. The nearest train station is a five minute walk and you can rent public bicycles over there for 200 yen per 24 hours. There are several convinces stores and super markets around and the shopping as well as restaurant arcade is closeby. Would go here again - did have definitely a very comfortable stay there!

Nice clean place, very comfortable. Good location. Maybe too "sterile" , too many cleaning instructions. I would stay again but it doesn't have too much personality. Also, staff is not at plain sight, to speak with them you have to press a button so they show up.

The place was clean and nicely designed. The bedding was comfortable. I also liked that there was a locker for your valuables. The kitchen was well-stocked with tools for guests' use. The staff was friendly and spoke English well.

Great location, so close to the station. Very helpful staff, who gave great recommendations for places to eat locally and a public onsen to try (which was great and definitely a highlight of my trip). Very clean and pretty quiet for the most part. Would definitely stay there again.

The place is lovely, even if barebones. Like most Japanese structure, the TEN to SEN, is a small but cozy place. The guest were mostly Japanese and quiete. The structure also provide its guests with a kitchen and a shared room where to eat (you can't eat in your room). You can eventually store your food and beverage in the fridge. There is a WiFi signal in all the structure. All the hygiene service are shared with the other guest (even if it is shared with the other guest everything is really clean and get cleaned daily). The walls are thin, expect to ear your neighbours when they speak above average or go to the common utility. The staff is very polite and does speak an above average English (we had no trouble communicating with them). The room has air conditioning.

One of the best hostel I have ever stayed. The atmosphere of the common area is good for communication.

Super welcoming and comfortable.

Perfect to stay before a flight. It is a 20 min walk from the train station and the airport bus stop is 5 mins walk away. It was only a 30 mins bus ride to the airport! The dorm rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean. The bed and duvet were soft and gave a good night’s rest. The staff is super helpful and had great recommendations on things to eat and do in the area. I had a great stay and rest in between travel!

*Update: Sorry for my misunderstanding. I should have asked before questioning it. The guesthouse should label each slot of the shoe cabinet with the room number. This could help guests use their own slots instead of taking others away. By doing so, the accident that I experienced would never occurred again. I found out that my own slippers were missing from the shoe cabinet, and I found them in the communal slipper basket. I suppose they mistook my own slippers for communal ones and tossed them into the basket. I understand that youth hostels need to have many rules and guidelines. However, every corner is filled with rules that create an atmosphere where one cannot relax. Many youth hostels have numerous rules, but they usually come with unique charms (like traditional houses or comfortable communal spaces), which unfortunately this one lacks. I initially came for the cozy communal space shown in the photos, but upon arrival, I found that the lobby was totally different to the one on the website. It wasn’t that warm and cozy like the photos. Most of all, the air conditioning wasn't even on most of the time. There’s not even an electric fan! (And the original lobby photos are still on the website). The website should update the new lobby photos, or else it gives a misleading impression.

Super clean, intimate and charming hostel. Everything seems very new and well taken care of. The location is perfect to explore Takamatsu and the islands in the Setouchi Sea, the lady running the hostel was very helpful and recommended many nice places we ended up going to. One of our best hostel experiences.
