We made this reservation after not being able to get into 16...and then ate at 16 for lunch. Love the menu from this group!! The bread is amazing! I started with the beef tenderloin bits. They were so tasty!! My friend had the fish soup and said it was her favorite! For my main, I had the pan fried cod...crispy skin, not over done, delicate flavor...perfect! The desserts were amazing! I had the molten chocolate cake. My friend had the blue cheese ice cream. Both were so delicious! Definitely put this or the sister restaurant on your visit list!!

Kristina our waitress and all the staff are amazing the food is all freshly prepared. Give yourself a treat and go here. We went for our date night as the larger sister restraint was full and I can say it was a happy accident as the staff could not do enough for us. Kristina was an absolute gem and gave us directions on food and the best places to eat and drink during our stay thank you. We will definitely be coming back.

Exceptional restaurant. We originally wanted to go to Rataskaevu 16, didn't have a reservation and decided to just try our luck walking in. While they were unable to seat us, they were able to get us into their sister restaurant which is this place. The menus are almost the same, Väike just has a more limited selection. I also want to emphasize the service here is beyond exceptional. The staff would bend over backwards for you! We got the Beef Tenderloin and the Braised Elk, both of which were easily two of the best dishes we had in Old Town. Even the bread was carefully crafted, soft, and to die for. Also pictured is the Minty Mint cocktail, which gives off a tropical vibe and is quite delectable. Don't need to think twice, eat here if you have the chance!

My wife and I walked in on a Friday night without a booking and the lovely receptionist said "if you're not in a hurry, I can make space for you, but things are going a bit slow tonight as it's just me and the chef." As we had no other plans for the evening and were in no rush to walk around in the cold, this sounded fine with us. Long story short, the food and ambience were exceptional, and the service (even though short-staffed) was better than we've experienced at Michelin star restaurants. How could this be? I expressed to our waitress how appreciative we were that she made space for us and for her service and the quality of the food, and both she and the chef hand-wrote thank you notes to us with our bill. Speaking of the bill, we each had a starter and a main and shared a dessert and a bottle of wine, and the total was only 96 EUR. I highly recommend this restaurant to others. TOP TIP: Make a booking as the restaurant is quite small and could be difficult to get a table at otherwise.

This place was incredibly tasty. Waitstaff was wonderful plus food was possibly the best I’ve had in the past 1.5 weeks in Europe.

Has to be one of the best restaurants in Tallin! Exeptional service, exeptional food and a nice calm atmosphere! I had the Roast Beef starter wich was very good, I then had the Flounder Filet. Wich I also can recomend. But the next time I am thete I will take something else for main. After the dinner I had a sweet chili digestive/snaps. Followed by a Chill & Tonic (a Gin Tonic with chilli). Wich also where nice and tasty (personally I would have prefered even more chilli flavour). It is a little pricy, but worth it! Thanks for the food and experience!

I usually don’t leave many reviews on google, but in this case I had to. The food was excellent, nicely presented and explained when served. They don’t have a lot of options to choose from, but this is always a good sign in a restaurant in my opinion. The service was perfect. The waiter was one of the friendliest I have ever had - give that man a raise! :)

Excellent food. We got this recommendation from a friend who lives in Tallinn. The dishes are really well cooked and delicious. We were 2 and we ate 2 starters to share, a main course (to share as well) and a dessert. Everything was amazing. The staff was very friendly and close, really unsual for what we've seen in Estonia so far.

The food is prettier rather than tastier. The waiter was extremely nice and the vibe is very cozy. The rye bread was the only thing that looked bad but in the end was delicious and one of the best parts of the dinner. The house wines are nice too.

It can't get much better than this. Absolutely fantastic food at fantastic (low) prices. This is one of the top restaurants in town. On top of that also extremely helpful and friendly staff, highest service level all the time. A special huge thanks to Karl who was our waiter, he was amazing!

Went on a Saturday night after 9pm and we got a table in less than 2 minutes. The waiter was funny and told us some curious stories about Tallinn such as the mermaid of the cat's well (just order the home beer - light or dark - and you'll get the story). The food offered is not too much but it's very good. Tried the roast beef, the elk and some fish filet.

Tunnelmallinen pienehkö ravintola. Sisarravintola Rataskaevu on ilmeisesti vähän isompi ja hieman laajempi ruokalista, mutta sinne emme enää saaneet pöytää. Sen ruokalista löytyy netistä, tämän pienemmän paikan listaa emme erikseen löytäneet, mutta lähes sama lista täälläkin. Alkupalana kolmen juuston piiras 5/5 (todella hyvät maut, illan kohokohta) Pääruokana kanaa 3/5 (pliisu makujen suhteen, saisi olla enemmän kasviksia vähemmän linssejä tai jotain muuta). Osa seurueesta otti kampelaa, osa hirveä. Näyttivät hyviltä annoksilta. Jälkkärinä suklaakakku 5/5 (sisältä ihanan valuva, jäätelö raikas) Juoman kanssa nämä olivat alle 45€. Suosittelen!

What a fantastic find. Food and wine are superb, nice quiet ambience and the staff are lovely! Such a pleasant dining experience, I look forward to coming back. If you get the chance, book this place!

The overall experience was good, service was very friendly and patient, the food was well presented, pretty, and tasty, but it wasn't quite excellent. There is some really exceptional restaurants available in Tallinn and I was told that this was one of them. It was certainly good, but I've had better.

Menu is very limited and a bit expensive being that portions are not very big. However, the food is exquisite! The homemade bread is one of the best breads I've tasted, accompanied with some cold tomato soup; so good that we asked for seconds. The food is an experience, all flavours come together so well!

The food was delicious, elegantly served. The waitress was very sympathic. She wrote us personalized messages on a napkins. Very attentive gesture.

The attention to the customers is so lovely! The starter bread was delicious, I understand why it's a staple from the opening of the restaurant. The fish soup was creamy, the beetroot tartar tasted nice. The mains where also delicious :) Maybe it was not the best of the best but everything was really nice. Absolutely worth the visit!

Very well made food and service! Humourous, charismatic people create a good atmosphere! Cod was very delicious, crispy salted skin and fresh (not glazed) fish texture with soft mild sauce is a good combo!

A great restaurant with amazing food and really kind staff. The dishes were excellent, we received plenty of explanations for the food and the drinks, together with some local anecdotes. The atmosphere was lovely, done so especially by the very nice waiter. A must eat in Tallinn!
