This could of and should of been one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The building is historic and newly renovated with good fittings and in a cool part of town. However they let themselves down badly. There was rubbish piled up both at the bottom and top of the stairs, lending a decomposing aroma to the stairwell and reception, showers and toilets where clearly uncleaned and smelled. Despite having a modern security system the front door and doors to the floors where left unsecured late at night. The staff seemed more interested in their social lives or when their next smoking break was than helping customers, they turned away a customer asking for a room and then joked that it was easier to not give them one of the available rooms. This earns them an F, must try harder.

The perfect place to start an adventure in Tallinn. Beds were comfy, showers were clean, small communal kitchen if you wanted to keep some things in the fridge, common area to sit. Most importantly, it is in an excellent location walking distance to the Old Town.

Super hostel, stayed there very often, cleanliness, amenities, polite staff, shower, kitchen, coffee machine, many different shops nearby. I recommend it to everyone, inexpensive, excellent hostel.

The rooms are clean. Unfortunately you can't turn off the cooling in the rooms - I caught a slight cold. Unfortunately, the toilets and washrooms were not cleaned often enough (only once in three days is not enough for so many people). The location of the hostel is perfect.

A friend stayed here and left my portable suitcase drumkit with the reception as he checked out really early the next morning. I picked it up the next day and everyone was so friendly like they hadn't just done us a HUGE favour.

My family of 3 and I arrived very late to Tallinn and to the Welcome Hostel. The hostel took a little time finding because it is located within a maze of wonderful crafty shops, pubs, and restaurants. Luckily, we were able to be buzzed in and our key was provided us. We had a fine room, although we had expected to have the family bed and were given a double-occupancy room instead. For this reason and because one of the bathrooms was not cleaned and it should have been during our two night stay, I only gave the Welcome Hostel in Tallinn 4 stars. But would I stay there again? Absolutely. The sleeping areas themselves were safe and clean. There was a cool living area with inexpensive coffee machines around. Plenty of brochures with helpful information was available to us and there was a great big kitchen, had we stayed longer or wanted to cook. The hostel is in a shopping district, abound with nightlife, and close to ferries. Ol d town is an easy walk from there too. I do recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a quality yet inexpensive place to lay your head for the night in Tallinn.

Really nice hostel. Modern interior, self check-in possible. Everything was super easy.

Pros: Good location (nice area 5-10 mins walk from old town, 15 min tram ride to airport). Reasonable price. Clean, quiet and comfortable beds. Cons: Zero atmosphere, showers last 10 seconds for every push of the button.

Wonderful! Conveniently close to Old Town, very reasonable, and single beds instead of bunks. It was great to use the kitchen, and it was pretty quiet. A little hard to find at first - it's at the 'back" of the building.

Very nice place, historic building but modern interior. The construction downstairs was a bit disturbing but that is not their fault. I will definitely stay there again during my next visit. Hopefully next time well get better weather.

Well located and nice rooms. Not sure what's going on maintenance-wise. More than half of the knobs were broken, no soap in the working showers, toilets were either blocked or with broken doors and more... This place has potential to be amazing, but seems to be lacking so many basics. If you don't care about all of that, it's not too bad. However, from the look of the place and the price, I'd expect more.

Very interesting building. Staff were a bit distant, toliet paper was always gone. Cleaning in the toilets, showers and kichen was rare. The showers we're not cleaned from the Saturday I arrived until the Monday morning, the wet tissue and hair in water was just swept around the shower room. Felt cleaner getting in the shower than after I got out

Everything was excellent. The only downside was that the room didn't have any blinds. That was at this case not a huge problem because our room was facing the opposite wall. The room was well lit. The toilets and room was were well cleaned. Reception was warm and welcoming.

The room was ok, it was awful that being a new modern hotel there was not nether soap nor toilet paper in ANY toilet. A good point was that they kept your luggage all day for free. They have equiped kitchen and the access to the hotel it is hidden (behind bershka) the place it is close to old town.

😠 Found bed bugs, the beds and the walls were dirty and there was blood on the beds! A truly awful experience! There are better options elsewhere and with the same price!
