👍👍 A Saturday afternoon visit to the Estonian Film Museum and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice exhibition with lots of interactive stages and it is set up in a very logical way. The student tickets are 6€ and adult 8€ and also has a wheelchair access. There is also a small cafe and a free ward... People often mention museum, Estonian, visit, nice, history, interesting,

A Saturday afternoon visit to the Estonian Film Museum and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice exhibition with lots of interactive stages and it is set up in a very logical way. The student tickets are 6€ and adult 8€ and also has a wheelchair access. There is also a small cafe and a free wardrobe. The only bit that could be improved is the parking, as there is not much room. The visit took us almost 2 hours, but if you are up for more, then right next to it is the Estonian history museum.

The museum can conveniently be accessed by public transport which has a stop couple of hundred meters from the entrance of museum area. The museum gives great overview of history of movies in grand scale as well as in context of Estonia, how they're made, using significant Estonian movies as examples, and provides many fun movie-related activities to do. Souvenir shop has interesting items - definitely take a look.

Even if you decide not to go inside this time there’s interesting to walk around and there’s also a nice playground for kids!

Beautiful place which Chris Nolan visited while in Estonia filming Tenet. Lots of stuff if you like film history, and surrounded by the equally beautiful and haunting maarjame memorial. Architecture of the building is itself something to visit for, if not also for the dog park that surrounds the place.

Very interesting museum in Tallinn, to visit. 100% recommend. Also taking a guide over there might help pretty much, since there is a lot to explain in this industry.

It was very educating, but not boring. You can see the history and the today of filmmaking. Also the Estonian filming history and making the most famous Estonian films. In wintertime it's a little cold inside :)

Lovely interactive museum, a great place to visit with a child. You can even star in your own movie! Lots to see in the surrounding area as well.

Christopher Nolan went there, what more needs to be said? In the guestbook he wrote "nice museum". There are 2 main floors above the entrance where the first one has most focus on Estonian film history while going over some of the basics of filmmaking, the floor above has safe-to-use replicas of moving imagery in general dating back to before A.D.

I love the idea of this museum and enjoyed my visit as I have seen lots of Estonian movies, so it was exciting to see props and behind the scenes stuff from classic movies I grew up watching. There were many educational and interactive displays as well. However, I feel like this is only for people who are familiar with Estonian movies and think it will be boring for others. Also, €8 adult ticket is quite expensive in my opinion. More about the location - there's a small cafe on site which serves drinks, sandwiches, pastries (part of Carmen Cafe chain, but seemed to be without their usual a la carte menu). The museum is part of the Maarjamäe building complex, you have to walk past the castle and through a nice little park to get to the museum.

Good start! But I hope amount of exhibits will increase. It's up to visiting. Besides there is an interesting shop with books and DVD's inside.

đź‘Ťđź‘Ť Where have these people been who have given Proto only one star?! We had amazing time with my 21-year-old son. Yes, 21. So it's definitely not just for kids. Yes, there was lines, and yes some of the attractions didn't work yet. But have you people ever been in Disneyland? You might need to stand in...
