first of all: great shopping mall. free toilets (always a win) and plenty of spots to sit and chill in peace. now, the supermarket. whenever i travel, i have to check out the local supermarkets. it’s one of my favorite things: you save money, but more importantly, you get to see how the products change from country to country. estonia did not disappoint. this rimi was huge. exactly the kind of place i like to lose myself in. and conveniently close to my hotel as well. i loved how products had little flags showing their country of origin. it made things so much easier as a tourist who doesn’t speak the language. buying cheese? easy: grab the one with the estonian flag, not the italian or french one. same with snacks. it felt like i was at least buying something authentic without needing google translate every two seconds. of course, with all that choice, i ended up overwhelmed… and spent about an hour and a half wandering around trying to decide on dinner. the bakery section was incredible. i tried both sweet and savory pastries. everything was fresh and still warm. the poppy seed roll was my favorite; the little seeds literally popped as i bit into it. the cinnamon roll was a bit dry but fine, and a custard pastry was delicious without being too sweet. for dinner, i decided to lean into chaos. i bought a hotdog without knowing what was inside, a triangle-shaped pastry with mystery filling, and then spent half an hour trying to decide on a third thing. at that point, two english speakers showed up with google translate and one said, “this pastry is filled with cucumber and mustard, ew that’s disgusting.” that was all i needed to make my decision: i grabbed it. i also picked up an estonian lemonade and a chocolate yogurt bar. results: the hotdog was stuffed with cheese, ham, and pickles. edible, but not something i’d get again. the dark bread i’d bought with estonian cheese was amazing though; i ate the entire loaf in one sitting, only to regret not checking the fiber content later. the triangle pastry turned out to be spinach, and the “disgusting” cucumber and mustard pastry was actually… fine, probably the best of the three. the lemonade tasted good but had a faint medicine aftertaste. the yogurt bar, on the other hand, was fantastic: tangy, refreshing, and delicious. why is this not sold everywhere? and hey, it’s yogurt, so i’ll pretend it’s healthy. the only disappointment was a marzipan bar i grabbed in excitement, only to realize it was made with cashews. entirely my fault for being too lazy to translate. chaotic? absolutely. fun? definitely. and very, very estonian.
Local hypermarket so easy buy all needed groceries from one place. Nice selection wines and other alcohols. I feel shop is little expensive, but not sure is it really or just feeling (location could have Harbour extra)
A great local supermarket. Pro tip: They have a salad buffet and warm food buffet for 12€/kg. Get that for your ferry ride if you want to save money.
Good prices and good location but no automatic coffee machines inside, had to pay 3.5€ for coffee at café shop nearby instead
I enjoyed Shopping at Rimi. It’s a one stop shop for everything you might need. From basic household goods to fresh and amazing meals ready to go. I especially liked the liquor section; as you can see, it was so well stocked 🥃😀
Amazing place, just near to the D2 terminal bus station. There were a lot of shops and various food outlets.
Cheap and well equipped.
✌Glutenfree Options✌ A special shout out to RIMI supermarket hot food and their grilled chicken in various forms, such as drumsticks with full flavor, tender, juicy meat. Incredible yummy!😋 I have tried some of their grilled hot food and it's always delicious! 😋 😍 It is easy take away food and along with a salad from the salad buffet, with a variety of dressings to choose from, you can find a nice public place nearby, especially arranged for the public to fully enjoy and also perfect for outdoor picnics. In case of bad weather the Nautica shopping center have a cosy sitting area with sofas, chairs and tables where you can eat your own brought food and drink. There are also bins placed everywhere for bio-waste and other waste. Normally I don't eat anything from the E200-E300 preservative series but I make an exception for the RIMI hot food as it's so delicious! 😋 😍 👌 Also the ribs are very mouthwatering, tasty, tender, juicy and so enormously good. Cutlery set with a napkin is on the hot food counter, but you need some wet wipes as well after finishing the greasy food. Glutenfree section has a lot to choose from and there are also a lot of juices but in different places, both in the cold shelves and on different shelves in the store. One have to look around a bit to find the juices.
Everytime I visited Tallin, I will come here and buy quail eggs. The price is half of Finland.
Everything is up to chain standards. Prices and products cater to every taste and budget. Always fresh baked goods and pizza. Good alcohol deals. In short, it's a hit!
Best place for shopping if you're first time visiting to tallin you can find the branded stuff over there at reasonable prices must visit sinsay and h&m stores for best offers on apparel and accessories for food you can opt for hesburger it provides way more delicious and cheaper food compared to other expensive restaurants and hotels.
It would have been a nice experience, but it wasn't because: - We got there half an hour before closing to grab something warm to eat, but they had already taken everything available out of the shelves - Every ten minutes you get a warning that it's almost closing (even before 10 minutes had actually passed) - 5 minutes before closing you already get the security guard giving you looks and chasing after you
Clean, beautiful, fully stocked with fresh delicious produce. Big choice of wine, cheese, bread, ready dishes, fish, meats, fruits. Lots of actions and savings. Staff is helpful and friendly.
Nice place to shop and relax, with a really great atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful and make the experience even better. Plus, it's conveniently located near D2 Terminal, which is super handy! Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
Ordinary Rimi with middle prices and anything you might need. Actually, a lot of goods can be purchased with weekly discounts with a Rimi Client card or the Rimi Baltics app, which is free to register for. This applies to all Rimi stores. The only thing I doubt is that tourists may not be able to register. Anyway, Rimi stores are still one of the best for Estonian citizens.
