I don't know how those people put 5 stars for this Hostel. 1- The room was really small (it's in the photo) and we were 6 men in there. And there was very bad smell in the room. If someone walking on the street that will wake you up. 2- The bathrooms were dirty in there was bad smell. 3-When I arrived I had to wait 10 min because the bed wasn't ready. The hostel location is very good. The staff were good

Unbelievable that people gave Draper a 5 star rating! Stayed here because of “wonderful” reviews but got the shock of my life when I arrived. Place is a stone throw away to the Old Town and other key areas but other than that, Draper Hostel is a place you should avoid. The toilets are limited reeked of molds and seemed that they are not cleaner regularly. I had to get a disinfectant wash from the grocery to make sure the toilet is clean before I use them, it was that bad! The carpet needs to be replaced. Kitchen is dirty and looks like it needs to be cleaned with HOT water before using any of the utensils / pans. The room is spacious but would be best if they install shelves per bed so they have a place where they can put their valuables / phones. Lockers are provided but were too small.

It was nice. Good price for private room. I stayed one night as a tourist. A lot of people with laptops. Quiet location. I came here spontainous because there are a lot of repairs near other hotels and this place is quiet. It was clean but the shower is close to the toilet. The pillow was too high for me. Not my first time. I would probably not work here. The mobile Internet was slow at times. In general, one night or one day for Tallinn should be enough. I preferred Helsinki.

Ever since the change of the owner of the place, DSH Tallinn has been an absolute unwelcoming hostel and a sad ride downhill to their reputation. The staff is rude as the old ones were replaced or perhaps fired, the conditions and security measures there are absurd. It was once a really chill place to network with others but is now favorably choosing who they like and who they do not. If you are looking for a good quality hostel and a community experience on top of that, I’m sorry to say this is no longer the place to go.

First of all: the location is great. This hostel is located in the old town of Tallinn and thus perfect if you want to explore (daytime) or have a drink in one of the many bars (nighttime). When you enter, you immediately feel like you're a student again: everything is super cozy and there are common spaces to hang out with strangers if you want to (I'm way too awkward for that but I'm pretty sure many people would love this possibility). The staff was awesome as well. What I liked the most was the huge map showing from where in the world people already came to visit - this adds a nice personal touch. :) I'll definitely be staying here again at some point.

This place didn’t pass the vibe check. Atmosphere was dead and didn’t feel cozy. Facilities are nice.

Nice place to stay in Tallinn if you are on a budget and you need good-reliable WiFi. Big kitchen, fair amount of showers and bathrooms, cozy vibes and interesting events once in a while. The staff is also great, specially Aale and this guy whose name I forgot -- I think it was Mr. Pigeon or something like that. The only thing I didn't like during my stay is the lack of music variety they usually play in the reception, it gets repetitive after a few days.

The hostel is located in the old city which was very easy to access touristic places. Hostel is clean and comfortable, also staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you 🙏

I have been in this place to participate of an event (friend’s podcaster). The space is not big but fits at least 30 people. The stuff were friendly and receptive. The common areas still available, shared, among people in the event and the hosted. Nice place.

I attend the startup events here for networking. I haven't stayed here personally. However the rooms look decent. A great opportunity for startup entrepreneurs to meet and network with like-minded people and fellow entrepreneurs.

An awesome and cozy place for meeting and studying time. For Toastmasters Club, Tallinn, it's been a great place for us to have our meetings.

Bed was comfortable and shower room also good! Yes with washer but no dryer. I found they left dozens of customers ID/passports copy by the window which everyone can look at it. For ID security that is definitely scary!

I think it’s one of the better ones in Tallin and it had a food truck there ! Awesome!

I stayed there twice. For a week and for one night. I like that it in a walkable distance to the port and late check in is possible. Also, the 2 in 1 shower and shampoo has a nice fragrance and I love it. I only have a hard time finding a place to dry my laundry since the there is limited place on a drying rack.

The rooms were clean but the air was not circulating and most of the lockers were broken or could have been opened very easily. The toilets were not super clean, especially the floor because the water from the shower was leaking. The kitchen has everything needed. The location is really good, it's in the city center, 5min from the port and near the train station, to reach the bus station is better to get a bus

The kitchen and beds were very clean, while in the bathrooms there was mold on the ceiling, walls, almost everything was moldy, even the "mop" thing. Throughout the whole hostel you could smell this sewage pipe smell. Our room didn't have a lock, the door was broken and some of the showers also, spraying water everywhere. Although I contacted the staff around a week before the stay with a question if I can leave my luggage there until the checkin after arrival and they said yes, there was nobody on the reception for 4 hours, even when I texted the number provided at the reception that I have arrived. When they came, they were really disorganized, even made a mistake with the bookings and just generally seemed like none of them knows what's going on and it's just random people working there trying to manage a hostel, with no customer approach or even a smalltalk about the city or such as it's usual. There was also one seemingly very young employee that couldn't read social cues and was asking us personal questions multiple times without any reason and was coming to us while we were obviously doing something else. Don't get me wrong I would appreciate a friendly staff but this was weird and unprofessional. Overall this stay was managable but kind of uncomfortable and I would expect a better service after reading all these reviews.

The staff didn't communicate during the arrival day at all. Just told us, that we can't come before 12 because the room won't be cleaned. We came at 2pm and no one opened us. After like 40 minutes we got by some miracle in, the staff was still so confused that we are actually there and when he showed us our room he found out, that it's not cleaned. So we canceled the booking. Don't go there

Nice cozy room with view to the street, shared kitchen is well equipped, shared bathroom is sufficient. The receptionist looked like he was scared of us :D We also had an adventure when fire alarm was activated. Overall, I really like the idea of the sturtup. Good luck!

It is great for the price; the location is superb, there are shared spaces, like the kitchen, and you get a spacious room with two beds. The cleanliness, however, is a huge negative. We had ants in the room! The shared toilets and bathrooms are quite dirty, too, and would definitely deserve more care by the cleaner. Check-in was a bit problematic, too. We came here by the ferry from Helsinki and wanted to at least leave luggage here in the morning. Since there was no staff, we tried to use the "urgent" WhatsApp number. However, after an hour of waiting, we were left with leaving the luggage at the train station as we did not get any response.

This hostel is a health hazard. The lack of ventilation, damp rooms and the visible mould issues make for a very poor experience. We had to leave during the night to find other accomodation as we were getting sick (including an Asthma attack). I not recommend staying here. Additionally, the backdoor is left open and this doesn’t feel safe.

The staff was cool, and it's good enough for your money but don't expect anymore.

So good I extended my stay. Everything is clean and new, with indoor and outdoor common areas, a nice kitchen, comfy beds, strong wi-fi everywhere and good baths/showers. The staff was very friendly with very good English. Two large supermarkets, a huge fitness center and a tram stop (Kanuti) are within 3 min walking, and it's quiet at night while just a few blocks from the party zone. There's even a food truck next to the outdoor area serving pizza and pasta.
