The ship rock, as the name says has the shape of a ship naturally from one side. It is flat rock. You can even climb it but have to be careful. Next to it there is a wonderful beach, mihiripenna beach. I should say it is one of the best beaches in sri lanka with a natural pool with a a coral reef. It is a very safe place for bath. Can have a wonderful evening with kids and your loved ones. Calm and relaxing. Not everyone knows that there are a couple of sea turtle peacefully swimming .You can take some sea plants and feed them. They are very friendly and will swim by your side. I think it remains beautiful, unspoiled and virgin because it is not very popular.

Very nice stop on the southern beach where you can find this frog shaped rock that is very hard to climb but in my defense it was windy and misty so it was slippery. Also there was a swing near it but the weather was too bad to try and ride the swing.

Pretty stretch of beach but currently high waves and too much rubbish. No loungers and limited shade. Short stay is recommended.

Lovely place. Also there is few restaurants on the beach that you can sit and enjoy this view. It was said tourist place. But I felt like there are so many similar places like this. Just pass by. More then enough.

The Ship Rock. Located in the west of Wijaya beach, the rock is formed naturally itself in the shape of a ship. Climbing it is not recommended in case you are sure about your safety because of sharp rocks and big waves around. It’s free of charge, but there is often a queue of tourists waiting for their turns to stand on the rock. Please stay calm until there is a wave to catch the best chance for photographing. Not to say that inspired shots are usually created during the dawn with red and orange spot lights in the sky.

Fantastic place and a beach around. Lots of hot sun and sea aesthetics. Must visit in Galle. Check out Wijaya beach and Sriri Gamunu restaurants around the place for a good meal and a cold beer or a colorful cocktail. Supiriii!

It's a natural rock looks like a from a one side. People often climb the rock to get pictures. Very popular among local and foreign tourists. Visit during November and April. If you're lucky you'll get to see a turtle as well.
